Very cozy hotel. It is located at a walking distance from the railway station (I would say ten-fifteen minutes). Anyway, the bus stop is not far (one-two minute walking). The city centre begins immediately after the street, even if the core part is at five minute walking. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. Rooms are accessible by stairs and elevator. I did appreciate the view on the castle, the light, the new furniture, and, above all, the cleanness. There is a buffet continental breakfast, with an automatic coffea-cappuccino-chocolate machine. I would only suggest a couple of further sweet options (cakes), but this is not a complaint (just a suggestion). I would definetely choose this hotel for future stayings. Congratulations to the whole staff!

The double room was very spacious. It had a nice sofa, as well as a lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was at street level, but with the triple-pane windows closed there was zero street noise. Closing the windows was possible because it was one of the few air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute walk from the train station, and less than a 10 minute walk from the Theatre du Passage which serves as the central point of the annual NIFFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival). There are closer hotels, but this one is close enough to be convenient.

There was some confusion when I was inadvertently initially assigned a non-air-conditioned room, but that was quickly rectified. It is quite clear in the Booking.com website when selecting a room during the reservation process whether the room has air-conditioning or not, but since there is a mix of similar rooms with and without, you need to verify that you actually get what you reserved when you check-in.

The breakfast at Chf18 wasn't very good value. And on arrival though there were two of us, there was only one black tea bag in the room and no milk. We asked for more of both and they were readily supplied.

The hotel is nice and small, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always smiling and welcoming. It is close to the public transportation and city center. The room is big enough and well equipped and furnished.

There was a bit of noise from the railway. The bathroom is small somehow but fine.

We wanted to prepare our meals, so we had to collect saucepans, plates etc from the lobby area as they are not kept within the apartment. This was a minor issue,

immaculate modern hotel, with well equipped rooms and a great location; the Neuchâtel tourist ticket (provided for free by the hotel) was an excellent unexpected bonus; breakfast was good.

bathroom well equipped but a bit small, especially given that the door opens into the bathroom; the bed was very good but the mattress cover (under the bottom sheet) didn’t breathe and so it became too warm - I suggest replacing it with a fabric that breathes.

The air conditioning was a delight given the high temperature when we stayed, the bed was comfy, the room a good size & the bathroom was adequate. The hotel is conveniently located near to the centre of town.

It was a bit pricey for where it was located.

The hotel is not so far from the city center and the castle, and cca. 20 minutes to reach the train station by foot. The room is comfortable and equipped with a simple kitchenette. The staff is helpful.

Loved that we had a kitchen area!! Huge bonus. We have dietary restrictions so this made all the difference to us

Really out of the control of the hotel but I was woken at night by loud drunken people…I think if you stay anywhere in the lower town area it can’t be avoided but just a shame.

The tourist visit card was a great advantage as it allowed us to use the public transport for free as well as to visit many cultural places. The staff was very friendly and the room spacious and nice.
