Highlight was lunch at La Terrace, party of six (6). View from the balcony was majestic. As a Swiss residing overseas the view was worthy of paying a premium Access by car a bit tricky, parking too. Car needs good brakes!

What upset me was to be told by the hotel cashier that they did not accept my CHF1,000 banknote. Reason was “there are too many counterfeit notes around!!”. The staff was merely telling me the hotel management’s policy. She was pleasant and run to the bank to have it validated and returned my change a few minutes later. But this is a scandal and against Swiss government law. I have come across fake USD100 notes all around the world, but fake CHF1,000 bills, NEVER!! Nothing either on Google to that effect.

We had a room with a small balcony. The view was amazing and the size of the room was one of the best we have experienced The coffee machine was a bonus!! The hotel has a good location with easy access to the lake as well as the town. We would definitely stay here again

Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour who talked rather loud and could hear his entire conversation quite late at night due to the poor soundproofing of the rooms.

I stayed in the annexe, right next door to the hotel. Great location for the station and also amazing views (the clue is in the name !) Nice stroll down into town, great terrace for a drink after work. Breakfast and dinner from the restaurant were delicious. Iron and kettle (for the British cup of tea) available for me to use too from communal supply.

That I had to leave

The hotel is lovely, nicely located right next to the train station, and quite pretty. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

The room we were staying at wasn't directly connected to the reception and breakfast area. So you had to leave the building and enter at another door. The raw concrete floor in the room is not very inviting. A rug or carpet might be nice.

Everything was well besides the Town Tourist App. Actually we hate it and it wasn't user friendly. I would guess for elder tourists an absolutely nogo.

We didn't like the Town Tourist Web App. Extremally complicated and totally not easy to use. The booklet we got earlier was much easier to handle and I guess it was more used bey the tourists

The hotel is at few steps from Neuchatel station and that something that make life easier. I love the hotel vibes in general, and I will definitely come back for my next trips to Neuchatel. I also enjoyed the breakfast and the Terrace restaurant. The view from my room was amazing.

My room didn't have AC but just a portable fan. It wasn't super hot and it didn't cause any problem, but that's something I prefer to mention.

Very pleasant staff at the reception and in the restaurant! Great location! Great view!

The room was not cleaned even once in 3 days. Thin walls, snoring could be heard from the next room. In addition, the "neighbor" was banging on my wall because it seems he was bothered by the sound of text messages in the evening hours. The same breakfast every day (but tasty).

Excellent location when arriving by train (just across the street), very nice breakfast (super crispy croissants, awesome view), and a room that was comfortable and very clean! I'd be happy to come back if I ever pass through the town again.

The spots of mold in the shower stall stood out in stark contrast compared to the cleanliness of the rest of the room - was surprised to see them. So, the bathroom could do with a deep cleaning.

The room was somewhat spartan, but the bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Our room did not have air conditioning, but an excellent fan kept us comfortable on a warm night. The view to the lake was nice. We were there for an evening wedding in a suburb, so it was great to be able to get to and from the hotel by train. A fununcular runs from the train station across the street to the University. From there it is just a short walk to the art museum, old town and harbor. The hotel provides guests with a pass for local transportation and coupons for admission to museums and nearby attractions. Notwithstanding its proximity to the train station. The street out front was quiet.

It would have been nice to have a more comfortable chair for reading and a TV with a larger screen.

The location of the hotel is great, just steps from the train station with very good proximity to the city centre. The view from my room was just magnificent! Although I visited in November, it must be very beautiful to sit at the terrace during spring or summer!

Although renovation work must have been done recently, I would prefer some extra care in the cleanliness of the shower area in the bathroom. In addition, a bit of a warmer decoration atmosphere would give a great advantage to the overall experience in the rooms.
