Travelling by public transport the location was perfect: important bus stop in front and the old town with restaurants, sights and shops was in 2 minutes walking distance. The stay comes with an additional tourist tax (taxe de séjour) not included in booking.com, but it entitles you to the powerful Neuchâtel Tourist Card, which in the end saved me more than 40 Francs over the stay. The room was perfectly clean even with some aged facilities. The wifi worked seamlessly. I chose this hotel because of its location, value for money and good last-minue availability.

Suggestion to the hotel: the courtyard rooms face a seemingly calm parking lot but every outgoing (from 6am onwards) or incoming car drives over two metal street gutters with a loud bang – can't you somehow soundproof them with litte effort? I like sleeping with open windows in summer.

The location is very good, walk to city center in 5 mins. Walk to Neuchatel train station in 7 mins. Bus station is just in front of the hotel. My room has a lake view and a little balcony. The staff is very friendly. They helped me get the Neuchatel tourist card. Because starting in 2025, we have to use the new online system to apply for the card, the little booklet we used before is no longer available. The online application was very complicated and also I haven’t received the QR code for application.

The facility inside the room was very minimal. There was no phone, no kettle, no hairdryer, no waste bin inside the washroom. But I am able to ask for a hairdryer inside my room. Overall it was not too bad.

I recently had another wonderful stay at this hotel, and as always, it exceeded my expectations. My Unforgettable Vacation. The location was perfect for everything where the main train station was far to hotel only 7 minutes away also city center is located in 7 minutes an away while Neuchâtel Lake was far only 11 minutes away. From the moment I stepped into the cozy lobby of the hotel, I knew my vacation was destined for perfection. The air carried a hint of excitement, and the warm smiles from the staff welcomed me like old friends. As I settled into my room, the soft bed embraced me, and the view from the window revealed a picturesque landscape that seemed straight out of a dream. Each morning, I woke up to the gentle rustling of leaves outside my window and aromatic coffee—it was a feast fit for royalty. The days unfolded seamlessly. I explored lot of museums, journey cruise, free transport and many free other things from free card of hotel. The hotel staff anticipated my every need. They recommended local gems—a charming café tucked away in an alley, a cliffside lake viewpoint that stole my breath. Their attention to detail made me feel cherished. As I write this review, I’m filled with gratitude. My vacation was not just a getaway; it was a soul-nourishing experience. The hotel became my haven—a cocoon of comfort and luxury. Everything was perfect.

Everything was perfect and really good for the price, despite being non-smoking rooms, our room had a small balcony (a sort of veranda), where we were allowed to smoke. Everything was clean, staff very friendly. Our only complaint is that in the entrance of our room, nothing was soundproofed and we could hear the neighbor.

- Very basic breakfast even though they charge the customer for 22CHF - very noisy during the night - they upgraded the room without informing me because the room I booked was unavailable and charged me extra for it! - even though they charged for the room upgrade, their service was the same and even the coffee capsules were not replaced once finished - daily room service and room cleaning was absolutely unacceptable

Excellent location on the same street as the train station and near the center of town. Excellent Wi-Fi. Clean and tidy. The staff is very nice and helpful.

A bit noisy during the day from the opening and closing of doors and, when you open the windows, traffic. But I got a good night's sleep.

Proximity to the city and the lake. Room was seems more spacious than expected and the furnitures were simple yet clean. Blue zone Parking was easy to find.

Breakfast could be improved because they serve mostly cold cuts, fruits & cereals were not that fresh/crunchy, and the incidentally the coffee machine was broken at the time of our stay. Also, in the evening there’s a sound that feels like someone’s opening the door. It could be when people are walking outside the corridor / upstairs. Also suggest to have a ramp going up the elevator.

Location perfect, close to the railway station and only a short stroll to restaurants and the lake.

When you book with booking.com, you don't get a coffee machine and they do not clean your room or change the towels etc., as these become a chargeable item

An excellent value for money, central location and clean rooms, everything one needs!

This time around, I got a room where the shower faucet only had a single valve that was mixing hot and cold water at fixed ratio, so I could not set the temperature. It was OK, but given it was November, I would have preferred my water a little warmer. But this was the first time out of 4, so it is rather an exception (maybe a temporary fix?)
