We love everything about the hotel. We’ve been travelling for almost two months around Asia, and this is one of the hotels that really suits our needs - especially with two kids. Our room is really big and comfortable, the children can roam around while my husband has an work space in the room. Aside from the hotel serves a good buffet breakfast and nice tea time snack, they also have one dedicated floor for an indoor play area for the kids and parents to spend time in. This is really perfect for a family. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you to all the staff for welcoming us warmly.

We stayed in the Presidential suite and loved it! The only downside was there was no crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils even though there was a kitchen area. Plus the fridge was tiny and couldn’t even cope with a couple of beers being in it 😂 Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay and the suite was a bargain especially with a great breakfast and afternoon tea included. We found the staff really friendly and helpful and had no issues with the lifts. The location is spot being near a metro stop, bus stop and easy walking distance to the Main station. We would definitely stay here again

My wife and I got a great deal on the Presidential Suite 1602 and the room was incredible. The room was huge on the 16th floor with a complete bedroom suite, living room suite, two big screen TVs and a separate dining area. It was amazing! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom amazing, and windows all around with a great view of the city. The hotel breakfast was also amazing. For the price of a basic motel in Canada, the Kung Shang hotel was an incredible deal. And it is a short 8-10 minute walk from the train station. We happened to be nicely ensoncsed here when the typhoon went through Taiwan and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to Formosa station mrt exit 8 (350m) liohue night markets (600m). Comfortable beds. Soundproof room. Very large space. Excellent staff. Daily refills of water bottles and coffee etc. it was very generous. Even if you put the do not disturb sign out they will leave you a bag of goodies each day. It is also serviced with a mobile phone provider across the road. Local shop and bank next door . So everything you need.

My only gripe is the control panels for the lights. Are by the front door and bed. So you have to remember what to switch on when going to the bathroom etc. it is slightly dated but not in a bad way.

Wonderful place to stay! Great location - only a 5 minute walk down the street to a subway entrance, or a 5 minute taxi ride to the main train station in town. Really friendly staff, they were helpful in getting us settled, luggage storage, calling us a taxi, anything we needed. They even gave us a nice little gift for our honeymoon! The room was big, clean, and comfortable - one of the comfiest beds and pillows we had in Taiwan. Location was close to Liuhe night market as well which had good food options. The breakfast was varied and a good way to start the day, though it definitely does get busy. They also had an afternoon tea! It's mainly teas/coffees and cakes, with some packaged snacks. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Not much - the one quirk is the light switches. For the bathroom, you can only turn on the lights by using a button near the bed or the front door, which was a little inconvenient. But, it wasn't a critical issue at all.

Very good location, right in the city centre. Very big family room (exceeded our expectations, we can leave 3 luggages open at the sofa area) with reasonable prices. Front desk staff and the cleaner are all friendly and helpful. Always try to accommodate our requests. Breakfast is fantastic. Our kids love the variety. Self-service laundry and water dispensers at Level 3 are really convenient for family. A big thank you to the staff who have contacted us via booking to check out on the jacket we left behind.

The room and toilet are very clean. The daily breakfast buffet offers a variety of options suitable for both adults and kids, and the drinks include sugar-free options like iced soy milk. There are free daily tea snacks, but they are only redeemable in the afternoon. The location is excellent, with a supermarket and 7-Eleven just across the road. It's about a 10-minute walk to Kaohsiung Station

The Level 1 lobby does not have Wi-Fi for customers. The lift is small, too slow, and there are only two lifts. During the breakfast peak time from 9-10 am, the lift becomes heavily congested. The lift does not require a hotel keycard to access different floors, which poses a safety concern. My hotel room door does not close automatically, which can be troublesome at times. There are not enough facilities; the only one available is a game room for children, and there is nothing else for adults to do in the hotel.

The room size was fantastic for the price I paid. We could open all luggage and still had room to walk around. The dining area was such an interesting corner. It is located very near to the Liu He Night Market which is within walking distance. The hotel has laundry machines and a kids area too which I find it very accommodating. And the small bench to wear your shoes as well was a nice touch.

The little ledge before you go into the room and into the bathroom is quite scary. We almost tripped a few times.

The price/value ratio for my stay was incredible. I got a huge suite for a price of a room. So it realy was a pleasant and comfortable stay. The location was also very good. In the city center close to Kaoshiung famous metro station, also close to bus stations and Kaohsiung Station. Also all facilities avaiable very close around the hotel. The stuff was friendly. Also the hotel itself is a kids friendly hotel.

The common areas were to cold for me.The main lobby and the restaurant. It is subjective thing, I am sensitive to cold.The breakfast selection was generaly rich but limited in western options. This is also a subjective thing. I tried some strange combinations :-)

The location just 5 mins from the Red line metro was exactly what we wanted. Room was very large with a little sitting room as well. Very comfortable. Breakfast was super, a buffet with a huge amount of options, staff were super helpful. A real surprise was a complimentary afternoon tea from 1.30 to 4.30 with cakes snack and beverages. Dining choices for dinner are plentiful, with many options within 5 to 10 mins walk. Would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to anyone. Ps bathroom had a big bath which is unusual and would be great if travelling with kids.
