The room was spacious, temperature was comfortable and reception staff were very helpful. The bus stop outside the hotel is only about 2min walk away and it connects to most of the major attractions. There is also a stop that services a few of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus numbers, so connecting from the hotel to other major locations like Sun Moon Lake, Taipei, Taichung HSR is convenient.

Some breakfast items were cold or unevenly heated. The location is within walking distance of the station but it does take about 10min to walk there. If you’re lugging heavy luggage, the terrain is flat enough for it to be doable, but some may find it tiring.

It was just beside a park. We had a good stroll on the last day of stay. It was also beside a shopping mall whc would have providing convenience of shopping. The breakfast has good spread of food whc including the famous local like braised pork rice and danzai noodle. The deluxe room was spacious and had a lounge sofa.

I was not aware that the booking of standard room (twin or double) does not guarantee guest of a double bed, even if it was already requested during booking. I was dismayed to find out during check-in as the reception wanted to allocate us a twin room. She said that it is a standard protocol that the allocation is dependable on availability, for standard rooms. I informed that it was not clearly stated so on the booking page. Only after some assertions, she decided to let us upgrade to the deluxe room with double bed, with a top up of 600 twd per night. It was originally 1200 twd per night. We decided to take it up with alot of disappointment. This clearly is a serious misrepresentation or omission of impt information on booking.com.

The room was comfortable with a nice bed and armchair. Good soundproofing. The shower was strong and there was enough storage. The hotel lobby is connected to a mall. I didn't go shopping, but did go to the Starbucks directly attached to the lobby. The hotel is next to the park and near the main train station, so quite close to the main points of interest.

The breakfast was disappointing. It had a limited range of western food. I was literally the 1st person to eat at 06:30 and the bacon and eggs were already cold. Admittedly, it's a Holiday Inn Express, but thought it would be better.

Location is conveniently located with a small mall. It was a fuss free one night stay. Interesting view as it faced inwards towards the mall. Interesting shower door that is shared for both main toilet and shower.

Room was super dusty and dirty actually. There were stains on curtains, stains on hand towels, stains on pillow cases. I wished they vacuum the floor because I left my bags on the floor and there were plenty of dusty on it after and I kept sneezing. Wish their bed was bigger. The hair dryer was a pain. There was a cap at the front that kept dropping off which is so irritating. Gave up drying my hair.

Checked in on 3rd Dec, was served by Alvin at the hotel reception. His service was great and gave us a room with a good view upon knowing we came for our honeymoon. They even wrote us a card as well. About 10mins walking distance to the Taichung train staion, overall decent experience. Will recommend to anyone for the customer service here and location.

Hotel breakfast not for fussy eaters, will say its slightly below average. But not a big problem for me as we prefer to dine out instead of having hotel breakfast.

Location was good opposite Taichung park. Loved that there was coffee machine so could have coffee whenever. As a solo traveller liked that provided tags at breakfast to let people know u were still eating and so people wouldn't take seat when left table.

It would be great if there was a pool no complaints

The breakfast was excellent! The location is also excellent. I got an external view that I can see the beautiful Taichung park from my window. The room is very roomy with comfortable bed; and the bath room is very nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating!!

I have no complain for this stay.

High standards overall, helpful friendly staff and a very good location. Access to coffee and tea and water refills 24/7 tea was very nice. The breakfast buffet offered enough variety. The location is walkable from the train station and a clean, varied “night market” for food carts and restaurants.

No complaints whatsoever.

Good location & wide variety of breakfast selection! Located near to the Tai Zhong Train Station and walking distance to the Yi Zhong Shopping Belt!

Complimentary laundry services would improve overall guest experience and automated toilet bowl like the other similarly rated hotel!

Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and a small shopping mall was next to it so that was good. Bathroom was good and though not big but good enough. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choices.

The place where breakfast was held was very dirty. The floor was oily and dirty was seen everywhere so it was not a nice experience. Very crowded so it was noisy and because the place is small, people were really snatching food off the counter. Very unpleasant.
