My Taiwan trip started exceptionally well with my stay here. The staff and facilities exceeded my expectations of a 3-star hotel. 24h hotel staff was very helpful and provided assistance whenever needed. The hotel provided 24h hot and cold water dispensers - not sure if it was on every floor but mine had one just outside the room and that greatly increased the convenience. Room came with basic necessities like bath soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, while other things like razor or conditioner could be requested from the staff at the lobby. Toilet is super duper clean and you can request for daily room cleaning which makes it hygenic. There is a laundry room FOC but you might have to bring your own detergent. Picture of the room was as the image, just nice for 4 people and I could fit a 20'', 26'' and 29'' luggage in front of the bed. Hotel is walking distance from the Taichung railway station, Gancheng bus station (that takes you to sun moon lake) and other places like Miyahara icecream shop. There is a 7-11 nearby just 2 min walk away. Overall a great staying experience if you intend to take public transport.

I felt that the exterior of the hotel could be improved. At first glance, the exterior of the hotel does seem like it is still under renovation. If you are looking at hiring a driver, you have to be very specific about the pickup destination as the road is quite narrow and not all drivers are okay to pick you up from there. Also from Taichung Railway you would have to walk past some shady looking hostel but afterwards, the road leading to the hotel felt safe and bright.

The go-green initiatives (non-provision of disposables and refilling of water at the main water point) are great. The water pressure of the shower is awesome. Shampoo was just fragrant enough to be pleasant but not overpowering. There are many food varieties in the area and it is not far from the transport hub. Rooms are generally clean, and don't look much different from the stock photos by the owner (some hotels Photoshop their room photos to make it look cleaner and more grand - not this hotel).

The bed was too soft and there is no proper support when getting in and out of bed. The pillows were also almost non-existent - soft and flat. Requesting additional pillows require additional payment.

My room is on the top floor, hotel stated it would be noisy but not at all as per my experience. Very nice view through the wide glass wall as mine is a corner room. Location is very near to the Taichung Station, 3-minute walking distance. As we only stayed for 1 night, everything is good, nothing to complain about.

I don’t know every room is the same or only my room, the flooring at the door area is lower than the rest. Hotel got sticked on signage for guests to be aware. It’s not a big problem to be honest but the fact is that sometimes you might forget and still trip for it.

Location was near train station and long distance bus terminal. Lots of eateries nearby. Room is newly furnished and very spacious and clean!

The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Taichung Train Station, with clean and comfortable beds. The service of the staff exceeded my expectations. On my last day when I checked out, I left my luggage at the hotel while I went to get bus tickets. Upon returning 10 minutes later, I was notified that the cleaning staff had found a charging port that I left behind. The counter staff promptly went up to retrieve it and returned it to me. That was definitely a highlight for my trip!

Variety of buffet breakfast could have been better, but no complaints other than that.

Located opposite the railway station; You just cross one street. The Green Hotel and the Chance Hotel are located next to each other. Please note: On Google Map, both hotels were swapped on the map. I stayed twice in the Green Hotel. Once with a fellow traveller and after his departure another night alone. I also stayed one night in the Chance Hotel. My preference between both hotels clearly goes to the Green Hotel. Both of my rooms in this hotel were very quiet. The rooms were very neat and had, in addition to the bed, a sofa and a chair. Also a kettle, coffee and tea. A water dispenser is located in the hallway. In one room I had a very large shower space. In the other room a regular shower cubicle. In the room there was one light that I couldn't turn off ... So I pulled out the access card 😊 The unusually low ceiling was strange. The breakfast was good but the options were somewhat more limited than in other hotels during this Taiwan trip.

Location: Lesser than 10 mins from Taichung station. Hotel appearance: Bright, neat and clean reception. Staff: Very polite and attended to our needs. Facilities: Water dispenser hot and cold at each level, hence no bottled water provided. Pillow choices available for booking - tencel, latex etc (poster in lift). Washing machine & dryer two units each at level 13. Toilet: Separate shower and toilet bowl, air fresher spray provided. Some toiletries such as cotton buds, hair conditioner, razor to request from reception. Ear plugs are also provided in room. Staff checked with us if we wanted to keep our luggage with them after check out.

Room space: A little small for 3 pax. Sound proof not 100%, could be due to loud neighbors at night.

I like everything, very near the train station. They provided coupons for breakfast. And there were 3 options to choose from. Everything is delicious 😊

We asked for our room to be cleaned since we stayed there for 4 to 5 days. We're expecting that they will literally clean it like brooming the floors like that. We like the fact that they changed our bed sheet, towels and comforter but they didn't broom or vacuumed the floors and table as the room is very dusty. It's just that. But overall we like the hotel. I hope they improve on that service.

Location is very close to Tai Chung train station and other nice shops For the pricing, it's really attractive and the room is very spacious, cosy and comfortable. It's a relatively new hotel, so it looks very clean. The counter staffs are also very friendly

The neighbouring area doesn't feel so safe in the night. However this is not an issue because my family took a taxi back to the hotel entrance every night. As my room was located on the lower floor, didn't have much view of the city.

Everything about this hotel was great. The staff was very polite and spoke good english. The facilities were clean and the room was pretty big. Free laundry machines are at our disposal, as well as a big dining room. The location was also great, right in front of the Taichung railway station and a 5 minutes walk to the Sunmoon lake bus. I booked 3 rooms for my family trip, we all had a great experience. Unbeatable value!
