We had an exceptional stay at Le Méridien Taichung, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and always a step ahead of our needs. The rooms were beautifully designed, offering both comfort and elegance. The beds were incredibly plush, ensuring restful nights after full days of exploring Taichung. The attention to detail in the room amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. Dining at the hotel was a delight. Breakfast had a great mix of local and international options, all of which were fresh and well-prepared. The quality and variety made every morning a treat. Location-wise, Le Méridien Taichung was ideal for our trip, making it easy to explore the city with my partner and family. Whether it was shopping, dining, or sightseeing, everything was conveniently accessible. What truly stood out was the hospitality—we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. It was a wonderful experience that made our time in Taichung even more special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, whether for leisure or business. We’ll definitely be back!

Better hair dryer, but it is just me nitpicking

Luxurious, clean and modern. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. I stayed at the classic queen room which comes with 2 double beds the room was SO big, even the bathroom was huge and well designed. The shower gel and shampoo line provided were also very good and felt super luxurious. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to nice place to relax. Around the corner of the hotel, you can find Family Mart, many breakfast spots, souvenir shops for Tai Yang Bing, and Miyahara.

This was exceptional . I wish we could have stayed a week. We live in USA but we are a Taiwanese family so we will be back to visit family and the homeland and plan/hope to return to this hotel next time we come here! We have stayed in luxurious places all over the world but this was one of the best. And the food at the restaurant was some of the most beautiful gourmet chinese/taiwanese food we have had anywhere in the world. I was here with my husband and my mother in law who raved about it and said out of 5 stars this place was an 8. She said “I stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and this room was nicer than any of them.”

The only thing that could have been better is staying longer!

The room was spacious and ultra modern. There was enough space for luggage and sitting room .

The dark interior was a bit confusing too elderly people. Mu husband was disorientated after visiting the toilet and let himself out of the room..not one but twice !!! Quite worrying. Never happened in all our travels before. The busy black and beige carpeting did not help much too. It was ultra modern and suits the younger people ; not old travellers like us.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, it exceeded all expectations! The room is huge and luxurious with an amazing bathroom. The staff were very helpful, allowed us to check in early and happily kept our bags the next day. The whole hotel is immaculate, the spa/pool facilitates are sparkling, and there are the best views in the city. The location is perfect, we walked everywhere from the hotel, arrived on the bus and left on the train. Would love to come back!

Room was clean and comfy, with a modern, inviting deco. Location was convenient as a starting point to explore the area. Facilities were fantastic - gym equipment were quite comprehensive, they clearly know what people look out for when working out in the gym. Small details such as small tables to place our belongings on were present. There was also a pool and sauna / steam rooms - thumbs up.

Not much. Would have been great if there was a laundry room available on premises, but I guess that is really an additional request.

We live in Taichung and have watch from the start of the development of this property. The opening was impacted by Covid and delayed for a few years. I am glad that the Marriott group stayed the course. The hotel is in a part of the city that is going through the process of Urban renewal. The hotel is a statement to the commitment of city of Taichung. I do hope they survive and become more in tune with value of their property.

Unfortunately, the property is overpriced for what it turned out to be. It is a wonderful hotel. But it is not at the price point currently offered. The room we had was roughly $ 300/day. It had a nice bed but, the other furnishings were cheap, not functional and uncomfortably. The table that served as a desk could not be used as a table or a desk. The layout lacked a practical design.

Hallways emergency exit doors with ugly dirty walls not in keeping with the overall design. Of corridors to the rooms. Poor in room written communication materials: 1-Room service breakfast menu did not say if it was for use in dining room or in room. Confusing. 2- Your sheets have not been changed message card next to the bed made me really uncomfortable. Poorly worded and I’m still not sure if I was sleeping on the previous visitor’s sheets!

The size of the room was good for a family of 3. There were baby cribs available. The location was good. There was a shopping mall nearby Free parking Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was good although repetitive The staff that delivered the baby crib took off her shoes before entering the room- good hygiene

The housekeeper cleaned with shoes on. The floor had carpets, would be more hygienic if there were no carpets Would be nice to provide baby essentials like kid toothbrush, bottle steriliser and baby tub for families

Super clean and brand new. Very large rooms. All there what you need and expect. NESPRESSO Machine with Crème. Great bathroom, fully loaded minibar, restaurant with impressive wine list and decent food. Great breakfast. Super helpful, cute and discreet concierge. Will make this probably my new hub when in Taichung. Will try one of the suites next time.
