The Brother hotel has nice rooms and several nice restaurants (I like the one on 2nd floor with Dimsum). Bed was very good; I slept excellent there, The bathroom good; I had a room with bathtub and plastic curtain; which for my European taste is a bit old-fashioned. The personnel is very good and friendly; they solve any issue or question quickly. Chinese type of breakfast with some European style stuff as well is at the 13th floor till 10 am; alternative there is an option at 1st floor open till 11 am, European/USA style. The location is excellent; the MRT (metro) is next door and from there you can reach many locations in Taipei easily. From and to the airport with the Express train and only one change at Central Station. I do all the traffic with a Easycard which you can buy and charge at the airport (and any MRT station). A tip: I always buy a SIM-card at the airport and put it in an old phone, using that as hotspot for my regular phone; cheap and easy; 15 euro for 10 days.

I would appreciate if the breakfast at the 1st floor (European / American) style would offer more choice. It is now a kind of set menu where you can choose which type of egg, toast or croissant, coffee or tea. A more open / free choice with stuff like yoghurt, milk, cereals, fruits (like banana, apple) etc or a small buffet would be appreciated more.

Location is good. Room can be a bit more specious ! Breakfast is good , but could be improved a bit with the spread of Fruits !! Room service and the cleaning staff was superb and helpful. so as the technical staff .

it is bit difficult to communicate with some of the staff members, due to their poor English knowledge. at times some staff members at the reception could not provide accurate details on Metro service etc.. but some were knowledgeable and helpful .

The location of the hotel was very convenient close to everything and the staff were also very helpfu they spoke fairly decent englishl as well they attended to our bags and even let us use their spare iPhone cable and called a cab for us.

The hotel itself is rather dated it could use a bit of a face lift. I could tell my room has had some renovations but still feels like it's coming from the 1980s/90s. The breakfast buffer was a bit lacking in taste or sessioning. All the food served there was rather lack luster and the presentation of the food and the room felt rather dated and un organised. Might be worth shopping around a bit more considering the price i paid.

Really convenient location with two Metro lines right outside the hotel. The staff are so kind and helpful, letting us check in early to one of the rooms. They also packed us breakfast for our last day as we had to leave for the airport very early. Our rooms were modern, spacious, comfortable, and clean; bonus points for the bidet in the bathroom. The lobby and restaurants may be old but I think that adds to their charm. Breakfast was also varied and sufficient!

A minor detail but not all staff members could speak English

This property is conveniently located close to the MRT Nanjing Fuxing station. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. My room was a little small, but as I was a solo traveller it wasn't an issue. The room was very quiet which I really liked.

Only area for improvement was the breakfast. It would be nice to have a few more western options.

It was a proper 4-star hotel with the service you expect. The staff was very polite and helpful. A wide range of breakfast options, for Europeans also enough to choose. Parking under the hotel (from the backstreet) and validation at the service desk was easy. Nice bakery and restaurant in the hotel.

A smart thing to do before you want to park your car; check Google Streetview and check out the route / entrance. Taipei has a lot of one direction streets so check out how to get to the hotel car pak entrance.

This is an excellent value for money hotel. Location is just adjacent to MRT (Taipei Metro) stops - right outside the door which is super convenient. I received a room upgrade for free and stayed in a double room which was very comfortable and super welll equipped. It also had a really nice view across the city. Staff were friendly annd helpful.

The breakfast was basic - mostly chinese food with a small choice of western/continental options. Other than that, there's nothing not to like.

I had multiple options for breakfast, which was really good. I expected it to be a small hotel, but in fact, it was pretty big and offered excellent rooms. Since I used the MRT for traveling in the city, it was pretty accessible as well. You can directly exit the MRT station and to the hotel. The staff were super friendly and catered to my needs.

Check-in time was really late. But it wasn't an issue for me because I arrived late, but it might be an issue for other travelers. The price is a bit on the higher end in retrospect, but it does offer a lot of stuff.

After my room was changed because of an air conditioning problem all was fine and my new room was excellent. I note that others also report bad air conditioning so this is a problem the hotel is clearly not addressing. Hotel is right next to the MRT. The Taiwan food restaurant in the hotel is excellent, mainly patronised by Taipei residents.

Air conditioning initially. My booking promised a view but in the original room that was a view between the hotel and the building next door. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in both places it is offered

The Chinese breakfast was very good. The western style breakfast was just okay. The service throughout was generally first-rate.

The room was a little claustrophobic. There was only a very tiny window which could not be opened. This is an annoying design thing that a lot of hotels are into. What's the big problem with letting folks crack the window a bit to get some fresh air?
