The room was spacious, equipped with everything necessary. I really liked the Executive lounge option for executive type of rooms with free snacks, drinks, comfortable dining area, sofas, TV etc. I cannot say much regarding location of the hotel, it is business area, with nothing to see, however the subway is near and there are some restaurants to go (tried a few, nothing great though). The breakfast was mostly asian style, but you can surely find some European option to eat.

The dining area for breakfast was very cold. And I didn't like the dinner there (buffet style).

The spa is satisfactory but the cost for massage is very expensive.

The room for the breakfast is at the basement without any view to the street or garden, etc. I think that it is was the worst position. Also, it was very smelling and when I return to my room all my cloths were smelled. Although the food might be good, the smell and that it was very crowded all the time are very negative points! The executive lounge was not very friendly. It should be opened all the time with more variety of wines and more warm food should be served.

The breakfast was excellent as there was so much variety and freshly made. The Japanese restaurant was superb as was the Chinese restaurant and the club lounge food was too. All of the staff were excellent. They could not have been any more helpful. The view from our room on the Executive floor over the little park behind the hotel and our over the city to the mountains was lovely.

It would have been good if there was barista made coffee rather than coffee machines. The food in the executive lounge was good but more variety over the week would have been appreciated.

1. It’s in a good location in the city centre with tube station and bus stops nearby within 5 min. 2. Room is clean, comfortable and quiet, with nice room cleaning service. 3. Staff is always available and helpful when you are in need. 4. With the all the above in mind, the price is reasonable for hotels of such level.

The only minor flaw is that the staff at ground floor welcoming people obviously have a much nicer and warmer attitude towards Japanese and middle aged man consistently across my 8 night stay there and this was what I felt as non-Japanese young woman.

We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Metropolitan premier Taipei for a work trip, and overall had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. What truly stood out was the thoughtful gesture at the end of our visit. We had a very early flight, and to our surprise, the hotel staff had pre-prepared takeout breakfasts to us. This was the first time we experienced something like this, and it truly made us feel cared for and valued. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and attention to detail. Your efforts made a big difference and left a lasting impression. We really appreciate it!

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from February 13th to 16th, 2025, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The hotel's modern and sleek design, coupled with its impeccable cleanliness, made for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always eager to assist, making us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and clean.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower water pressure was powerful. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable stay.

When I booked Hotel Metropolitan Taipei, I booked it for its location. I had very little expectation of the service and did not realized they were the first JR East hotel outside Japan. It explains the amazing hospitality, and the happy hour and snacks at the executive lounge are to die for. Amazing staffs and hospitality. Special call out to Heiko Chen, the Lounge Manager for his professionalism and personalized service. Not to mention, the overall care and concern by the front line staffs at the lounge. We felt very much at home.

The only thing i didn't like was the breakfast hours, as the food was kept at 10am sharp. Perhaps the hotel can consider to allow a 15min grace period before keeping at the food on the dot at 10am?

Extremely clean hotel operated by JR East ( Japanese hotel), located very close to subway stations. If you like to be away from the touristy area, this is a good choice; It is located midway between the 101 area and the main Taipei train station. For those with a longer stay, a 24 hour coin operated laundromat is conveniently located on a side road of Nanjing Road, directly across from the hotel. This hotel offers good price value for a 5 starred hotel. Most of all, the staff is very efficient and responsive - excellent service.

The location is a bit away from the tourist area amount more local businesses. I would have like to be closer to urinary area where there are more clothing stores nearby.

We loved the service! All the staffs were very nice and accommodating especially the ones helping us load up the strollers in the car and carrying some of our stuff out of taxis. The room was decently sized and the location couldn't even be better, a few 7 elevens around and multiple food spots.

One minor observation was that there was a bit of rust in the bathtub but nothing major.

This is a great hotel! Wonderful location with 2 MRT lines one block away and many buses 1/2 block right in front of the building. There are so many nice restaurants close by. Safe neighborhood as well. Good room size, very comfortable beds. The bathroom is big with shower and big tub. The staffs are very friendly and nice. We stayed for 18 days and requested a quiet room. The room we stayed was facing the side and it was very quiet! We don't hear any noise from the street. The only noise was someone else slangs the door across the aisle. I will go back to this hotel again!

I wish there are more drawers to put in clothes. The gym can use some upgrade - no elliptical machine. The pool is functional but the tiles can use some cleaning.
