There isn't a lot of choice when it comes to resorts in Taipei and they are on the pricier end. We have stayed at Nikko in HCMC and Osaka so we knew what to expect. Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Great breakfast buffet options. Location was a short walking distance to shops so was convenient. I must say the concierge staff at the front door are very kind.

The pool on the roof top was a little tricky to get to but nice (and small). Probably doesn't suit the rest of the hotel, needs a bit of a face lift. But it's was nice to cool down from the heat. While it's a nice stay, I'm not sure it's value for your money. We opted for the additional breakfast since it was a bit tricky to find something that our kids like (also a lot of places don't open before 11am) but it was pricey.

Since the hotel just got renovated, everything looks nice & well presented. The room is nice and clean. They offer a wide range of breakfast food. There are plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. The staff are professional and friendly. The hotel also gives a bag of goodies for the guests who stayed over the New Year.

Walking from the MRT station with a young toddler is a bit of a distance, but we managed. What makes it more difficult is how crowded the area is, especially around peak hours & festive seasons.

Everything about this hotel is five star except the price. Although the lobby with its small size was a little underwhelming, I soon found out the staff and service is as good as any luxury hotel. They make a point of always opening the door when you enter and that's just the start of it. I loved the location too. MRT is 5 minutes walk away, and also Taipei Main Station is within walking distance at about 15 minutes. Everything is nearby from luxury shopping to breakfast and dining.

I found the breakfast option expensive so I didn't take it. The neighborhood is packed with places serving breakfast so it was not a loss.

The staff were polite, and the room was clean and cozy. The strong heated water in the shower and a wide TV channel selection—including YouTube—added to the comfort.

I was a bit disappointed by the lack of basic items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors—especially for a hotel that positions itself as upscale. Having to be contacted multiple times to bring my own wasn’t ideal. Also, breakfast at the restaurant didn’t impress—most of the food was too salty.

the hotel was undergoing renovations at the time however this did not interfere with our travel plans. The staff were so polite. Our room was a little older however it was a great size, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Location was absolutely perfect for getting around. A short walk to the train and bus and was so easy to get to rainbow road. Lively at night, easy to shop as hotel was in centre of it all. Once in rooms, you could not hear any noise. Was great!

The Nikko is very centrally located on a lovely boulevard with easy access to subways. The hotel staff was very attentive and helpful. We found that the room was reasonably large and well-equipped, with a comfortable, large bed. The bath was fairly normal in its layout and facilities.

Maintenance in the room could have been a little better, with a little mold behind the sink and a door that barely closed. The blackout blinds worked fine, but were a little tattered. Although we enjoyed our stay, the hotel was a bit expensive.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Royal-Nikko Taipei. The staff were extremely courteous and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around the city. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable jHighly recommended for a pleasant and hassle-free stay in Taipei!

We checked in early before rooms were ready. When we came back later to pick up our room cards, the front desk person, who was NOT the same person who checked us in, knew who we were even before I could tell him my name and he had our cards ready to give to us before we got to the front desk. My wife and I were very impressed. Rest of the front lobby service was equally impressive with door persons opening the main door as you walked up and a door person helping to hail taxis, even screening taxis to make sure you got a more comfortable ride. Our room felt very clean and comfortable. Overall, an excellent value for the price.

I like the bathroom . Enough space in the shower areas and the basin area. I like the nightgowns given to guests . There was more than enough space for luggage in the room and the furniture was well arranged.

Nothing much to complain at all.
