The hotel was conveniently situated in Zhongshan, surrounded by a vibrant array of restaurants and bustling shopping centers, making it an ideal location for exploring the area. It took us just a quick five-minute walk to reach the nearest MRT station, allowing for easy access to the rest of the city. We purchased Easy Cards, which made biking around town a breeze as we discovered various neighborhoods and attractions at our own pace. The room we stayed in was impressively spacious and impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere after our daily adventures. We particularly appreciated the generous size of the bed, with its plush, comfortable pillows that ensured a restful night's sleep. The decorations added a charming touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the room. One of the standout features of the hotel was the luxurious sauna experience on the 20th floor. This serene space offered breathtaking views of the city skyline, creating a perfect backdrop as we unwound. The saunas included both steam and dry options, complemented by invigorating hot and cold baths. After our challenging hikes in Alishan, this was the ultimate indulgence—what more could one ask for than these wonderful facilities to soothe the body and mind?

Exceptional service, very clean, good location with nearby shopping, food and transit station, very nice spa and gym room. Nice park a block away. Close Starbucks. Many spa’s in area for massage.

Crazy expensive bar and food prices. In USD about $30 for a room service pot of coffee, $50 pp for buffet and $100 pp for the Chinese restaurant. Hence to say we ate out at local places. Bar prices were about 50% higher than a nice bar in the US with a minimum tab of $20 pp.

The location was convenient to the places I wanted to visit. The check-in and check-out process was done efficiently. The wait staff was very pleasant, professional and helpful. The room was as shown. it was comfortable, clean and most things were easy to find. I didn’t have breakfast, but I had dinner sent to my room on the last night. The meal was good and worth the price. It’s a beautiful hotel and I especially liked the hallways.

Contacting the front desk was a task. Communicating with room service and house keeping were challenging because most of the staff didn’t speak or understand much English. Therefore, this is something to consider if you plan to stay here.

Okura has a great location, 1:1:15... its 1 mile, 1 block or 15 minutes by car to attractions, subway, amazing restaurants, boutiques and shopping, 24 hr laundry. You must wander the side streets in the area to find unique local spots. MRT/subway easy to navigate. Bring comfy walking shoes ! Bring bathing suit for rooftop pool.

The location is excellent. Extremely convenient to MRT. I stayed in a suite and it was great. I recommend booking a suite over their standard room. The quality of the suite is 5-star.

The sound at times could be heard from other rooms/hallway, etc... However, the corner suite I was given did an overall good job of reducing the sound.

The breakfast restaurant doesn't allow flipflops while crocs and similar open-toe slippers are allowed, I don't understand why. Also if crowd is expected, they restrict breakfast to pre-selected 1 hour slot only

The room was fantastic! The views were good and everything about the hotel was great. It was especially nice to be treated like we were important when being dropped off at the hotel, and upon entering/leaving there.

Our room happened to be on the floor beneath the gym, directly below it. As such, there was a bit of noise from that which for the most part wasn't unbearable, but also a bit disappointing.

The service of the hotel staff was superb! My wife misplaced one of her ear piece in the room. The housekeeping staff apparently found it and placed it on a visible area where my wife saw it the moment we returned after a day of outing. She was so relieved!

Was very surprised that a 5-satar hotel would charged me for a broken glass cup in the bathroom, which could've had a crack already.

Okura situates at excellent site with convenience to shopping, eating or going to other areas. All staff there are nice and very helpful. Room is spacious, clean and very comfortable.

I need to pay 3 times when using debit card. The first is used 3 days before check in, second is on the day of check in with deposit and the 3rd to pay at check out time. Though the refund of 1st and 2nd payments are quick on the same day after check out, I think to authorize 3 payments should not be necessary.
