Hotel is located centrally at Zhongshan MRT, just a 3 min walk to exit 3. Would recommend those with luggages to take exit 4 instead as it is just a stone’s throw away from exit 3, but with escalator and elevator. Hotel is also right next to 3 huge departmental stores, two big drugstores and lots of great food options. Zhongshan MRT is also just one stop away from Taipei Main Station via the red line and 3 stops away from Ximending via the green line. Initially, I was a little skeptical about the lack of a ground floor lobby as the hotel actually occupies the 8th - 11th floor only and the entrance looked more like an office building entrance but overall it was safe. Also to note that this is a no frills hotel so don’t expect a gym or swimming pool, and there’s no proper drop off point for taxis or private vehicles. Room was clean, the single couch was great and bathroom was standard and clean - no complains at all.

We booked the family room for 4 and felt that the room was a little small. Would be more worth it if we booked 2 rooms and paid a little more.

This hotel is a few steps from Zhongshan MTR station exit 3, which is one stop from Taipai main station. with lobby on floor 8. The street entrance is not immediately obvious but look for a sign with two feet and that is it. I have stayed here many times and like it for longer trips because it is simple, clean and cozy with no pretentions. It is also very good value, but the cheapest room have no windows. A simple breakfast is also available.

The internet is intermittent and slow.

The building itself is nondescript, but the hotel is actually located on the 8th floor. Passing through the lower floors, you’ll notice a spa and a bakery/grocery, which felt a bit unusual. But once you reach the 8th floor—what a pleasant surprise! The hotel lobby is modern, and the room has a real wow factor - spacious, clean, with a large bed (actually two double beds combined). The bathroom includes a bathtub. The smoking area, however, is just a makeshift can placed a couple of meters in front of the building. I doubt this is an officially designated smoking area, but the locals use it—so, when in Rome… Overall, an amazing experience!

The pillows are the worst, but the overall positive experience cancels this out. @Royal Inn, if you could do something about the pillows, it would make the guest experience much, much better.

Breakfast was good. The rooms are rather big and comfortable. Location is good. The MRT station was just a very short walk from the hotel. There were many other food choices around the hotel and shopping malls opposite it. The hotel does not give bottled water, however, there is a water dispenser at the lift lobby so you can use the water flask in the room to collect water. Great for those who usually consume water.

The self-service laundry - the washer capacity is small around 6.5kg and the dryer takes about 3 hours to dry the clothes completely. However, the hotel lets you use it for free.

Big comfortable room. Huge bed. Room had everything we needed. Price was good for the quality in a capital city.

Entrance from street was a bit dark and messy, but seemed to be in the process of renovation so it may improve. You have to take lift to 8th floor to check in.

Service was exceptional. Staff were super nice and polite and helpful. Location was good. Rooms were cozy in size but sufficient. Modern styling and generally clean in the bathroom areas. Hot/warm/cold water dispensers on every floor and lounge area on lobby floor serving tea, coffee, and ice all day to relax outside of the room.

Elevators were slow. Building is definitely older. Shower was too short, I couldn't stand straight up, not to mention try to wash my hair ABOVE my head. Carpet and some corners were old, dated or showed stains.

Overall it was a comfortable stay. I like their sustainability efforts such as providing room slippers and toothbrush kit only if you need it. Perhaps it’s just me but I would like to specially mention that the shower head water power is strong which is a plus point for me! Most hotels have pretty weak water pressure. Not to mention, this hotel is conveniently located

in the heart of Zhongshan stn many shops and restaurants .MRT exit 4 has escalator 100 m from exit 3 is which is the near but sharpe stair .one stop from Taipei main.breakfast is varity. my friend make a stain at the towel on the frist time (her eye liner)they just warning and the second time ( unconscious from her hair color on the pillow sheet). hotel want to charge 500 TW, I want to pay 250 TW which they approved. but finally they don't charge any money which is very impressive.

It's location is perfect! Walking distance from Zhongshan MRT and the shopping district. The hotel's lobby is super convenient for families who like taking coffee/snacks in between meals (they offer their coffee for free to guests) The breakfast is also good, with options for those not used to Chinese cuisine. The reception staff were sooo helpful. They knew exactly what to do in all situations. We were assisted so well and their communications is very clear.

The rooms aren't sound proof. You can hear people chatting in the other room.

Located extremely near zhongshan mrt station, or a 15 min walk from Taipei main Station if you're up for it. It's on level 8 of a row of shopping so might be slightly tricky to locate look out for signages overhead. the bed is large and comfy, and the room was spacious. Staff was accommodating and helped me with receiving a parcel, as well as quick to respond when I had an urgent enquiry.

The aircon remained cold even though we tried adjusting it. We switched it off eventually.
