Location: 10 minutes by walking to National Palace Museum. 5 minutes by taxi to Miramar shopping center. 15 minutes by taxi to Shilin Night Market. Facilities: Tall ”sky well” study-room setting on the fifth floor with views of an elegant sky garden. Huge rooms with twin bed, very clean, modern, and functional. Mountain Views are seldom as compared to those in the city. Cultural atmosphere without business pressure - A very nice hotel for getaway emerging in ancient treasure of 5 thousand years of history.

Taxi is somewhat difficult to call by 55688 during the traffic hours. Was told to ask front desk to call taxi for faster response but didn’t try. Off traffic hours were fine.

The rooms, including the mat, are very clean. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into the cleaning as soon as you step into the room. I didn’t experience any nasal allergies during my stay, nor did I detect any moldy odors. I tried both Western and local meals, and I have to say both were excellent. I was particularly impressed with their Egg Benedict! The wooden design also adds a pleasant vibe to the space. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a truly relaxing stay.

My second stay here. Perfect location to visit Palace Museum. Large room with comfortable bed, a proper desk to work and read. Beautiful scenery out of the window. Great shower room too. I love the fitness room with weights, treadmills, and also good view. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of selections. The staff was very kind and helpful. Lovely stay and would come again. Family mart close by.

The hotel location to the National Palace Museum is fine. MRT is about 2 km away, but there are many bus lines going to MRT Shilin etc. Even the Yangminshan mountains can easily be reached with one of the bus lines. The room size with more than 30 sqm is fine, on the 6th floor guests may easily use the washing machines, dryer etc. There is a good individual choice for breakfast. For Bus and MRT transportation it is recommended to buy an EasyCard.

Everything was perfect. Lovely, spacious room with comfortable bed & pillows, with complimentary minibar, good bathroom amenities, excellent housekeeping. Front desk staff & at breakfast were attentive and mindful. The hotel is away from the busy city but close enough to the night markets. You can walk to the National Palace Museum. Bus stops are a short walk.

Yusense is special because the original materials which were of exceptional quality have been retained as have the classic hospitality values both in service and accessories. Our room faced away from the road, had a "mountain view" and was quiet. The room felt spacious in an old fashioned kind of way (a little empty and impersonal but on the other hand not artificially and tastelessly over-styled as in boutique hotels these days). The bathroom was luxurious with hardwood tiles and mother-of-pearl mosaic. The accessories were good quality and we especially loved the perfumed glycerin soap. The breakfast was real and very delicious, not a buffet. We had each our rendering of Eggs Benedict, one with ham and the other with smoked salmon. Even the cappuccino was handmade and excellent. The location for this particular visit was perfect and we walked over to the National Palace Museum (600m) in a break in our schedule. Always amazing! The front desk personnel and dining room staff were both professional and very friendly. Their attitude and smiles were genuine, not put on for the job. Last but not least, the hotel was decorated with original art pieces including a very large, Chinese Chi inspired tapestry by an American artist hanging in the high-ceilinged 3rd floor lobby space. This must once have been a very fancy hotel for foreign guests coming to visit the Palace Museum! What more can one ask for?

Actually, though it was a good double bed, especially my wife found it too hard - as is the culture here in Taiwan. It would be nice with a bidet toilet seat - that was missing. For some the style of this hotel maybe a little old fashioned, but that's exactly what gives Yusense it's niche and quality, through and through.

Loved the entire ambience of the place! It was clean, peaceful, and the staff were all generally very helpful. We stayed as a group of 10 and it was a pleasant experience to stay with elderly as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Best part of the stay was the complimentary breakfast at the restaurant area, you could select from an entire menu and it was healthy and tastefully prepared.

Location of the hotel wasnt great in Taipei, not convenient to move around via public transport unless you had a car.

Staff is very friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. In quiet neighborhoods.

Breakfast is a bit weird to my tasting. Bathroom showerhead doesn’t function as expected - water would splash in all direction, and if water splashed outside the tub, the water would flow across the floor making the entire floor wet. The AC in the room a bit difficult to understand how to work on adjusting to the right temperature. Also cannot turn off the fan in the bathroom.

Great hotel with a sense of feeling home, beautiful feng shue energy. Very comfortable bed, room with view of the green and a bathtub. Service minded team. Breakfast is also high quality. Loved everything about this hotel! Will always stay there when coming to Taipei

Nothing, all is great!

A charming and with a flair of its own, close to the National Palace Museum and Shilin Metro. Nice peaks around it. One can also buy tea selected by staff. Wake up in the morning to the calming view of the trea forest. Big and spacious rooms. One can take a great bath at night, instead often usual sad shower. That’s comfort and indulgence.
