Great hotel, comfortable large room, bed and bathroom, balcony, pool etc great breakfast and restaurant meals....staff from reception, restaurant and room service....all friendly and helpful...couldn't fault them....they will look after your bags if you're off on safari....great .

I will have a gripe.....theres a couple of things 1. Africa can be cold in the morning and the restaurant has no door....and can be cold ...bring a jacket on cold mornings 2. Water pressure in shower pretty low 3. Especially for western and other guests utube a must on the television... However despite these these things its a lovely hotel worthy of the 9/10...

Its lovely hotel, fantastic friendly helpful staff, large comfortable room and bed, great breakfast and 35 mins walking to middle of town....they gave me a free upgrade...great..Food in restaurant not bad.....

1. It can get cold in the morning and at breakfast you can sometimes need a hoodie or jacket at breakfast....there is no door on the restuarant and wind comes through....2. and it would be great to have the room tv Internet connected for utube etc.....theres not much for English speakers except France 24.. 3.internet wifi goes in and out a bit...

We stayed at this hotel both before and after our Safari trip, and it was an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff left a great first impression with their friendly, professional demeanor. It's worth noting that all staff members speak English, which made communication smooth and easy. Aurelia, the manager, stood out with her warmth and professionalism, ensuring we felt well taken care of during our stay. The entire staff consistently maintained a high standard of friendliness and professionalism, which contributed greatly to the overall positive experience. Breakfast offered a delightful variety of both traditional and Western-style options. The highlight for us was the coffee — we thoroughly enjoyed the espresso and cappuccinos, easily the best we've had in a long time. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!

We enjoyed our stay so much we rebooked again for a night after our safari, the staff are so welcoming the rooms clean and comfy, we never got to try the food in the restaurant but it smelled lovely, we also found a really lovely spa 3 mins walk away that was much needed after a 3 day safari Indulgence spa and Sauna Arusha, we also ate at the ribs restaurant a minute walk away which was delicious. If ever I find myself in the area again I wouldn’t think twice about rebooking to stay at this hotel. 5* for every staff member we encountered.

The hotel is conveniently located at Old Moshi Road with approximately 2 km walking distance to the Clock Tower. Also there are some shops nearby (next to the gas station down the road). The premises are well-protected and clean, also it is quiet. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, especially in the restaurant (they even teach you some Swahili). We found the bed to be super comfortable and can only agree with the many good reviews for their food.

Sometimes (but not the whole time), WiFi was not working so well in the room.

Breakfast was nice. My story about the amazing helpfulness of the staff was that when I needed to pay and their system was down, one of the managing staff walked across the road with me to go to the ATM and withdraw cash over concerns for safety. This is somewhat typical for Tanzanians who project a culture of helpfulness and solidarity, but was still a really nice thing to do. The room was great, clean, water pressure and heating was good, It was too cool to use the pool but I would have enjoyed a swim if it had been hotter, it looked clean and inviting.

Some of the cooking could have been better at the hotel restaurant, I had an Indian dish and it didn't feel very convincing given some of the other food I've had in Tanzania. And although I know the wait staff meant to be helpful, they needed to learn how to hang back and leave guests to eat, not ask at every turn how things were and assist with silverware etc. A bit of waiting to be asked and then responding hefpfully would be great.

The place was exceptionally clean every corner of the hotel was spotless and well-maintained, making it a truly comfortable and relaxing environment. What stood out even more was the staff; they had hearts of gold. From the moment I arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to every detail. Their hospitality went above and beyond, making me feel right at home.

Very warm welcome before we even checked in, there was luggage assistance, chocolates offered and refreshment drink at the reception. The receptionist was very professional. There was no hassle during check-in, and she was kind enough to give us options to choose a suitable room. The beds are comfy, clean and views from the room balcony are spectacular!. The housekeeper was kind and provided all we needed. The breakfast buffet had quite a number of selections from hot dishes to pasries, fruits, and live cooking station, the restaurant staff are kind and professional too. The pool area is well maintained and not crowded. Green side hotel exceeded my expectations, and their value for guest is top-notch!

Great hotel, with place to eat and drink close by if you wanted a change of scenery, on the first night we went to have roof top drinks at Gran Melia hotel as they have amazing views at sunset, we also had a massage for $20 close by. I did ask the hotel how much a taxi would be from the airport and they said $35 which was a lot for a 25 minute ride, in the end we booked a bolt and payed £4.50. So download the bolt app if you haven’t already done so.

The service at this hotel was exceptional. We expected a basic service as it is a 2 star hotel, however the service and facilities (and staff) were at least 4 stars. The hotel goes the extra mile with for example snacks before dinner which makes it very personal. I would definitely recommend this hotel - the staff (Rehema, Emmanuel, Jackson, Vincent and others) even taught us basic phrases in Swahili.

Everything was excellent.
