Queen room was large allowing me to spread out and repack after safari. Clean flip flops made my stay. Wi-fi worked fine in the room. 120 V electric outlet is in the bathroom. Reception lounge was spacious and had a different wi-fi but same password. Early morning breakfast was basic but good. Cooked buffet looked tasty but I had to leave for my flight so I couldn't partake. Best of all the staff was excellent - reception, concierge, wait staff.

The bathroom is dated but ok. The hotel has an old fashioned feel which was fine for me but is not for everyone's taste.

I could advise friends to go in this hotel. But I will probably never come back to Tanzania. Becaŭse of the cost of the travel and it's footprint

Overall, for the price and location, New Safari Hotel was a great place to stay for 2 nights in Arusha. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of museums, city center, market, cafes, and restaurants. We ate in the hotel's little casual cafe/pizzeria twice - can recommend the pizza. Service can be slow but food and fresh juice was good and prices very reasonable. Note that they don't serve alcohol if that matters to you. The free buffet breakfast included fresh fruit, bread, juice, coffee/tea, and a few hot foods. You could also request cooked eggs on order.

There were some issues, including the first room having a non-working air-conditioning unit. So we were moved to a second room that had a working A/C but had an issue with the key cards so we had to be let in every time we left the hotel and needed to return. COVID has no doubt been hard on the hotel with lack of visitors, but the hotel definitely needs to sort out these sort of things.

I would say it's strategic location is a plus,

If one is looking for a comfortable, strategically located and value for money place to stay in Arusha town,then this is the place,it is one of the oldest hotels and did not disappoint

Mary and Jackson were incredibly nice and helpful! They even helped me switch my room to the quieter side of the building, and Mary got me a huge pineapple for when I returned to the hotel after my safari. Although the hotel is a bit older, it is clean and kept up well. Also, the free breakfast was nice - lots of fresh fruit, and a variety of other dishes. I was very pleased with my stay.

The bed is a little hard, but that's only my preference. Everything else was very nice.

Mary from Front Desk was Amazing! very accommodating and always had a smile and a kind word whenever she saw me pass by reception area. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the hotel was nice and quiet which is EXACTLY what I needed for a work trip. I usually work until late into the night and the night reception personnel would still print my documents for me even late at night! I loved that even after I had checked out on my last day, I finished my last meeting late in the evening, I went back to the hotel and asked to use their WC to change into something more comfortable for my flight and they were very gracious and let me use their guest toilets.

Good place for short stay. The hotel is old but clean and ideal for those who stay 1 or 2 days in Arusha.

Please bargain with the taxi drivers even if the hotel call the taxi for you.

The location is good. We did not have any problem accessing it and moving around. There are things you need around the hotel, like airlines office, supermarkets, cafe and restaurants.

The shower room is very small. Needs renovation.
