I stayed in the hostel two times. The first time I got a double room and everything was fine. Breakfast is included in the price and the price is just awesome for what you get. That was also the first hostel in which they provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and bodylotion. Also the bathroom facilities were always clean. I chose this hostel because it is just a ten minutes walk away from the central bus station and also the shoppers is just five minutes walking away.

The second time I had a small single room. The room itself is alright, but I had bedbugs and that’s not okay at all! It would be also nice if the stuff could pay more attention if the covers of the pillows are really clean or not. In both of my stays I had to ask for a new pillow cover, because when I arrived there were yellow stripes in the cover. It can be that it doesn’t get out anymore but then you have to provide new covers.

Excellent center location. Good WiFi available. Fantastic hot abundant water shower provided with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Toilets provided a lot of tissue rolls. The roof spacious terrace with 3 sides of far away beautiful views. Breakfasts included. All the staffs are very friendly. Especially I have to thankful the receptionist Jones John is smart, kind, considerate, hardworking, very helpful, he carried my heavy luggages to the second floor, he can solve problems in every way. Another very good staff is Joseph, he guide me all the way to the museum amazing tanzanite experience, he also accompany me back to hotel at night time to make sure my safety. That what he done was outside his working hours. Therefore my stay in this hotel is happy, comfortable. I stayed a week longer than my 2 days original plan. Here this hotel has a very good atmosphere, there are many travellers stay here. So enjoy this hotel, Absolutely highly recommend this Arusha backpackers hotel!!!

Have WiFi. Excellent location right in the center. Hot and abundant water shower provided with shampoo n bath gel. The best shower in Tanzania. The spacious TVterrace with 3 sides beautiful far away view. All staffs are very kind, helpful, and friendly. Especially to thankful Joseph who accompany n guide all the way to amazing tanzanite experience, outside of his working hours. The whole hotel is very clean. This hotel has a lot of staffs, that means this hotel provides many jobs opportunities to locals that I am impressed. I stay more days than my original plan. Highly recommend this hotel.

I booked 3 times here because all the times I came I felt so good that I didn't need to look for something better than this. They held my big luggage in the free luggage room they have and this was very very helpful for me. I left it when I went for a safari and when I went to Zanzibar. I like a lot the rooftop and my rooms all the time were just perfect. All the hotel was very clean. The staff is incredible welcoming and friendly! Thank you for everything! I definitely reccomend Arusha Backpackers Hotel to anyone :)

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean public facilities and pretty small but neat private bedroom. Besides that very central location directly in the city centre. Taking the price into account it was really awesome :)

The included breakfast was a bit meagre with white toast, few fruits, porridge and cornflakes and there was no mosquito net, not even a possibility to install one I brought myself.

The property is well equipped with a kitchen, a pool, a rooftop bar, a lot places to hang out and lots of art around the whole building. The WiFi is good as well and you’ll always find a quiet place to finish some work if you have to. The staff is really helpful and tries to make your stay unforgettable. It’s also easy to meet other people at breakfast or in the evenings at the family dinner. The hostel is chosen by a lot of volunteers who work in and around Arusha as well so don’t hesitate to ask them for recommendations or join them for common activities.

It seems to be a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in town but keep in mind that you get a quiet place with a pool. So I reckon it’s worth the value

Ana the receptionist is very friendly and nice! She help me in going around the area and even assisted me to look for agent for my Safaru Tour. I stayed here in this hotel and decided to stay after my short trip to Kenya. Bed is good enough. Shared bathroom. No Air-conditioning but the room is well ventilated. Breakfast was basic with instant coffee available. View from the rooftop where the dining is located was superb! Supermarket and restaurants are available in the area.

Arusha Backpackers is a very nice hostel. We stayed there before and after the safari for 3 nights in total. It's not a luxury hotel but for the price you pay you get all you need. The breakfast is a little buffet with bread, spread, cornflakes, dates and watermelon as well as coffee and different kind of teas. The washrooms are clean and the showers have hot water. The rooms are a little small but clean and the beds are comfortable. They have a big terrace on the roof where you can buy drinks. The staff is very very friendly. The location is perfect if you want to explore Arusha or go on safari. They have a big luggage room where you can leave your bags if you go on safari. All in all this is a very good Hostel and I would recommend to stay there.

It was comfy, amazing location. Small room but you don’t need more. Clean always, except for the other guests toilet habits but it’s expected unfortunately in a shared bathroom but the hotel kept on top of it pretty well! A lovely staff member - I can’t remember her name but super welcoming and friendly.

It wasn’t that helpful on arrival. Didn’t tell me anything.

A great value for money. Quiet room with bed, desk and chair. Really liked the roof top bar. Nice staff!

Unfortunately I was slapped at the corner of the road when getting out of a car. Just slapped out of nowhere. I guess that could happen anywhere but one has to consider it is quite a busy area and not everybody there likes mzungus.
