I initially booked for one night, but after being offered a Safari, I decided to extend my stay by another night following the Safari. The staff was extremely friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable. The Safari was excellently organized — we were picked up early in the morning and returned to the guest house afterwards. We could conveniently store our luggage at the guest house during the Safari. It’s worth mentioning that the Safari price was cheaper than booking online, but that’s a different story. The food offered in the menu and the breakfast options were very good and delicious. The beer at the bar was priced so reasonably that there was no need to buy it from a store.

It should be noted that our room didn’t have any mirrors at all, which was quite inconvenient, especially for my wife. She mentioned this every time we talked about our Safari experience :)

The staff was so nice, we arrived late with a bad looking rental car and a last minute booking, and had lost our way. They were very understanding and showed us different rooms we could choose from. The room is really good for the price. Had a big bed and an extra big bunk bed. They gave us a generous late check out. Had a good laugh with both guys - funny and polite - and they helped us to have some pizza delivered and had a drink at the bar. The bar area is nice and has swings. Breakfast area is good too, food was OK. Nice common area in the mail building. They were also building some new and tribal looking huts. Good looking but close to each other. So main building is fine! If you cannot find the place, please ask at the mall on the mainroad. Sometimes there is no electricity, so no wifi. They have a generator. This is not something they can do more about then they already do. This is just an Arusha area thing.

Things like: a small bed side lamp that was lacking and some firm more darkening curtains..however, did not have that anywhere on a 3 week Africa trip, so I know it is not so common...The bunk bed had a small cosy light however!!

My partner and I stayed at White house hostel for 4 nights. We absolutely loved our stay and felt like home! They helped us with organizing daily tours, prepared delicious barbecues and meals and made our stay absolutely perfect. We had the feeling that all employees are happy and satisfied, which was very important to us! Stella, was our favorite, she was always there to help and so friendly. We will come back!

The rooms are nice for a very good price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The place itself is great, with a lot of different areas with palet beds to relax and chill.

We liked the fact that it's a bit further from the city center therefore less busy and more quiet, but one should take this into account as this mean less commodities around and some Tuktuk or taxi might try to charge you more for a transfer from the city center (except if you book directly with the hostel).

The White House of Tanzania was a wonderful stay - the space is gorgeous and so much relaxation room! Abu and Stella made us feel at home and looked after us the entire time, meeting them was a highlight of our trip for sure. We're excited to come back again and couldn't recommend the place more!

Fantastic accomodation! We really weren't sure what to expect with such a low price, we are regular visitors to Arusha and have stayed in great places, we'd definitely come back here when taking Safari. It had everything we needed, super comfortable bed, warm shower, wifi, clean, great breakfast and friendly atmosphere.

The hostel looks good, clean and the food is tasty ! Joe was really nice and helpful for everything. I booked one night there and i decided to come back in that place some days later after my safari :)

Nice and simple hostel with good rooms. The pool table is amazing and the dinner they offer is great and cheap (buffet style). The lounge beds, music, bar and dog all helped with a very nice vibe.

There was an annoying Danish party group of teenagers. On a Thursday they only shut down their music at 00:30 while rules say till 22:00, also they came back at 5AM being super loud rude and playing pool. Where was the hotel staff to tell them to respect other guests?

Junior and Richard and Lucy were awesome- so nice and helpful and cool. they set me up with a GREAT safari company and it was perfect. They r undergoing major construction and I would love to see how it looks when they r done. I would come back in a heartbeat. Asante Sana!

The staff, especially Stella, were so friendly and helpful. The hostel had a nice laid-back vibe and excellent outdoor space, including a pool table. The included breakfasts were delicious.
