The property is in a perfect location. You are staying about 30 meters from the sea. When you open your window, you can hear the waves. The most beautiful beaches of Nungwi are 5-10 minutes away by foot. Everything that came out of Zava's kitchen was very, very nice in terms of both taste and presentation. What made our stay perfect were the valuable people of the Zava team. Many thanks to the chef and his team who prepared the wonderful flavors in the kitchen. Many thanks to Godfrey and Wesaka who prepared us amazing cocktails behind the bar. Many thanks to Aisha who served us with her smiling face and kindness, and to Victor who never left us alone with his warmth and conversation. Many thanks to Joel, one of the managers of the facility. And most importantly, endless thanks to Liza, the head of the Zava team, for her patience, sincerity, kindness and support in every situation, for giving us this unique holiday experience. This huge team has only one goal: to make you happy. Hakuna matata 😊

There is salt water flowing from the fountains in the rooms. But this is not specific to the facility, it is a general problem in the Nungwi region. We did not worry too much, I am just writing this for your information.

Dear Liza and Zava team, What a joy it has been to stay with you for the week. It came after a weeklong safari mainly on washboard roads and your location and service was a beautiful follow on…. Our experiences at Zava were second to none. Anything we were not sure about was sorted out, Scuba Diving and in my case a local Barber…We also found as a family that the attention to detail was so thought through…being able to wash your feet, so as not to walk sand into you accommodation. A basket to bring your things to the beach…. The food was perfect, great choices and all that we tried over the week was delicious. The views from the restaurant both downstairs and up, extraordinary. I very much hope that we get the opportunity to visit again. The whole team made us feel very special at all times.

We had an amazing time here. The Hotel is right on the beach. They have their own sun beds we could use for free. The breakfast was great! There were multiple options, and you can enjoy a beach view while eating it. At the reception Grace helped us with every question we had. She can also arrange boat tours or other activities if you want to. She was amazing! The staff, e.g. Witnes and the guys, are also very professional and wonderful. We even played some Beach Tennis with them. The room was nice. There is enough space to put our luggage and there was warm water coming from the shower. They also have a generator during any power outages which was very helpful! We would recommend you staying here!

After reading all the high score reviews we were hoping for a good stay. Zava exceeded our hopes and expectations. It’s right on a gorgeous beach (no low tide issues). With a great flip and flop bar area (bean bags , long low benches, dining area, views upstairs and downstairs of the sunset,simple well cooked food free lattes for breakfast. Rooms are air conned fresh water tea coffee, soft salt water showers (good for healing) not sticky. But the best is the staff they want you to be happy and will do anything todo so. If you show them respect they will give back in droves. One of the few places we’d be happy to return. We are well travelled and in our 70’s

The staff were super kind, attentive and willing to help. The location is 10 out of 10! Not too crowded but with great beach access. The fact that it's right on the beach was a huge bonus for us. Rooms are separated from the restaurant and quiet. Guests have a refill drinking water station that's available 24/7 and the room had a kettle, tea and coffee. Good wifi reception.

The water in the room (shower and sink) had salt water and low pressure which was unfortunate... maybe that's a normal thing in Nungwi, we would've just liked to know about that in advance

This is an excellent location—close to everything in Nungwi! You can easily walk to Kendwa or the Nungwi Lighthouse. Even though it’s near the business area, the atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet. The property is exceptionally clean, with a lovely beach area and sunbeds. The beach is cleaned every morning, which we really appreciated. There’s also a security guard on-site, which adds to the sense of safety. The food was absolutely fantastic—delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Nungwi!

The only downside was the water pressure in the morning, which wasn’t very strong. It wasn’t a major issue, but worth mentioning.

I stayed at this hotel with a group, and we had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the beach. The rooms were very clean, and the staff really took great care of us. There’s also a restaurant right at the hotel – the food was always fresh, tasty, and nicely prepared. A big thank you to the hotel manager. A few days before we left, I got sick. She went with me to the hospital, stayed with me the whole time, and even helped with the medical bills. I’m very grateful for her support.

One of the best part of this hotel is it's right by the beach. The staff is really friendly and helpful, really warm and always with a smile. The food here is exceptionally good infact one of the best that we had in Tanzania, the seafood is really fresh and cooked well. The breakfast spread is good and filling really loved the avocado toast. Everything that's cooked here is from fresh produce. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Overall an amazing stay by the beach with the best staff in Zanzibar.

Everything was amazing. Thank you for our stay! Fantastic location, 30m from the ocean. Very tasty restaurant. So nice and lond staff, especially Pami on the reception and mrs. Lisa were so helpfull. Fresh water you can have 24/7. Everyday housekeeping, the girls are cleaning the whole area for the whole day. When we come back to Nungwi, we will definitelly stay at ZaVa again! Thank you!

Salty water in the shower was little bit uncomfortable, but it is not a mistake of the accommodation, just the speciality of whole this region :)

I liked the location the most it’s very practical especially for a vacation as u can easily walk straight out of ur bed to the beach and even have breakfast with an amazing view alongside the sound of nature and birds chirping around (it wasn’t annoying the sound tho lol) the staff are super friendly and accommodating to ur request and needs also the food is great and delicious honestly it felt like a 5 star restaurant bc the effort they put into the design of ur place and taste is just chef kiss

Nothing really I can think off it’s good for its price maybe the locals that approach u allot which is fine but I can’t really help everyone and ur there to relax as well but other than this I am grateful and happy with everything.
