The hotel is beautiful and very modern. The view was exquisite and the location convenient and more quiet than Stone Town. The menu had a bit more options but no alcohol and the food was decent.

Breakfast needed variety & a change each day . More fresh fruit, different cereals , were great . Location of view of the sea was spectacular. Staff were very accommodating & friendly. My grandson was pleasantly surprised when they wished him happy birthday at breakfast on the 25th & treated him to a birthday song & a lovely cake. Thank you Golden Tulip for making him special, Thanks for unlimited wifi & utube , DSTV in the rooms. Extra TV sets in the bedrooms & lounge, everyone was able to have their privacy & choice on viewing their TV. Rooms were cleaned well & smelt great.

It’s a really nice please to stay, great location with proximity to the airport and town. Easy to connect to all the beach areas. The rooms were quite spacious and neat. The staff were very amazing special shout-out to Jacqueline, Nahda, Modesta, Cast and pretty much everyone at the restaurant. Amazingly beautiful view from the rooftop restaurant. Would definitely visit again.

I have a case of food poisoning at the hotel and the manager wasn’t very helpful. Whoever the manager is needs to do better. Internet wasn’t so great, kept going off at different times. Got stuck in the elevator severally cos the electricity kept going off. And there was no mirror in the room I stayed in.

Cosy Hotel Just Outside Stonetown A hotel with beautiful people and great hospitality. From Mr Ibrahim at the front desk to Mr Collins and Mr Mandela at the dinning area, all the staff were always smiling and ready to help. Not only did we enjoy a variety of options to partake of for breakfast, but also had enjoyed a clear view of the ocean. A cleaning swimming pool and lounging area that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine and breathtaking sunsets. We wish the hotel and their staff a happy new year and all the best for 2025

As a South African Muslim our standard of cleanliness is very high, therefore I suggest that the hotel pays a little more attention to the finer details. There is also a South African flag on the property which is upside down, I did bring it to the hotels attention and hopefully they change it around. More water in the room would be appreciated due to the heat.

This hotel will need investment in maintenance or renovation. Many small things, to give just one example: The room doors should close by themselves, but the mechanism only closes the doors almost but not completely.

We had a great stay! The staff were very kind and always ready to help. The highlight was the stunning ocean view – you can enjoy it directly from the pool, which made the experience even more relaxing. Breakfast was also good, with a nice variety to start the day right. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The location wasn’t ideal. You need to take a taxi pretty much everywhere, as there’s not much within walking distance. Also, swimming in the ocean was not possible due to a difficult entrance with sharp corals and strong water flotation – definitely something to consider if you’re looking for a beach you can enjoy easily.

I have said this and will say it again, the friendly and always helpful staff is top notch, especially Jacqueline at the reception, Joyna and Maryam at the restaurant (and one other lady, i forgot her name), we really appreciated their smiles and unwavering help throughout our stay at this property

the late check out policy is a rip off.. the information provided is not what’s actually on the ground at the property.. we ended paying more for checking out late than what we budgeted!

Beautiful ocean view. Great aircon cools the room very well. Sunset dinner in the top floor restaurant was beautiful. Very professional staff. Exceptional food (best I've had on my stay). Breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of variety. Super comfy bed! Lovely big and clean shower.

The windows were stained from the ocean spray, so you don't have a clear view with the windows closed. Not facilities other than gym, swimming pool and restaurant - would appreciate something to do at the hotel. Sunset in summer boils the top floor restaurant. Too frequent room cleaning was interrupting when we were relaxing.

Excellent service.. Staff were very hospitable and often asked for feedback about our experience. They value guest satisfaction and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The location is perfect, close to town but not in the thick of it, allowing a more relaxed atmosphere. The sea view was breathtaking: music selection exceptional. Their best feature for sure is the food. We were treated to scrumptious mouth-watering breakfasts every morning we always looked forward to. Our lunches and dinners at the restaurant were also delicious. I would recommend this hotel very highly and would stay here again when visiting.
