I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The staff was fantastic and I left them tips in the tip box. The dinner was nice with a wonderful menu. That view from the restaurant was very much or I should say has very much adjusted my outlook on life. I am more calm these days 2 weeks on! I hope this continues or I will have to return for more good living from Royal Cliff. I also liked the fact that there were folks on hand that could arrange excursions to points all over the island.

the safe in my room did not work properly but we didn't need it. So for me it was not an issue.

Getting to the property is unpleasant but once inside the property gate, the experience is spot on. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It’s like we were home

The restaurant pricing can be adjusted to make more sales and make the hotel pleasant otherwise one would prefer bringing in their own water and food as they are priced 5 times more than normal price. X2 pricing is acceptable not X5 on everything you buy at the hotel

Excellent facilities and service. Perfect for couples and families. The options for lunch and dinner were lovely with lots of options for vegetarians. Exceptional service from Rashid and all of the team at the Royal Cliff.

The breakfast selection were limited but we love fresh fruit which was available all the time. If you prefer a bigger range of choices for breakfast the this hotel may not be ideal. dinner and lunch options were great. Lots of choice for vegetarians. There are no restaurants near by which you can walk to so it is important to consider this when booking.

We liked absolutely everything! They made our very early check-in hassle free and late check-out as well. No additional charges, no single word. From receptionist till the driver- just great! Restaurant, food, pool, staff great guys, doing their job absolutely lovely! Veryyy quite place, which we loved! Great place to escape. The area of the hotel made us fully relax.

Nothing. If you need to go anywhere, they will provide transport (additional charges), but- always available, which makes you always relax, since you are not worrying about anything. So location should not bother you

Our stay at Royal Cliff Zanzibar Hotel was truly exceptional—one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property is clean and beautiful, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. What truly stood out, however, was the incredible hospitality of the staff. Mwinyi at the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making us feel genuinely at home. Harun at the reception greeted us with warmth and professionalism, adding a personal touch to our visit. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable!

The staff are all so friendly and cannot do enough to help you and make the experience amazing. We came for my 50th birthday and wow did they spoil me. Beautifully decorated bed, table out on the veranda for dinner and a birthday cake and singing for me. Wow. They made a special birthday even more special. I was lost for words. The rooms are amazing. Huge and with lovely views very spacious. The pool is great...a fantastic sea view. The restaurant has amazingly tasty food all cooked fresh. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. If we ever come back to zanzibar...you will be our first choice to stay at! Thanks so much for an unforgettable experience.

The drive up from the main road to the hotel is on a very rural road. Don't worry though as when you arrive at the hotel the drive was worth it. It is amazing.

Tbh, so far this is the best hotel in Zanzibar where i feels like home. What can i say, everything is amazing, the ambiance, the staffs, the foods, the safety, the beautiful garden and peaceful private property. Its great for those whom wants to healing, enjoying the beauty of Zanzibar ocean. Special thanks to Salvina and Mwinyi, you guys are great. I already miss my room hotel today. 😄
