We liked the villa itself, was very nice to have free transfer to walking street, good breakfast with outstanding view. I think that design of this hotel is one of the best on the island!

The villa we were given was located next to reconstruction area. When u pay that amount of money u are counting on receiving the best views and top location. By the way as we arrived there were some empty cans from coca cola under the sofa next to the pool. Third thing we didn’t like was serving breakfast: as you come though there’s no anyone sitting nobody of waiters come to you. You have to wait at least 5-7 minutes. Then when you order they bring dishes in a strange way. For instance they brought us desert first (pancakes) and then omelette. That’s strange. I understand that it’s may be not a big deal but as i wrote when u pay enough money to get all kind of comfort u are counting on receiving it.

Lovely hotel design, great space and private beach. Plunge pool is excellent and food was really good.

Very expensive for what it is. Small details don’t make this a £600pn hotel. Yes it’s new and very upmarket for the island, but paying x3 for simple and non value add items such as drinks (eg why is a coke 3x the price of other areas of the island) and similar trips to other islands (again what’s the point of differentiation vs other operators). I also question some of the hotel maintenance - the main pool had green moss on the pool chairs (lack of flow or cleaning), and some of the buildings needed more upkeep. If spending that sort of money everything needs to be perfect not “ok”.

in general we thought staff was not up to the task for a 5star hotel, they were certainly friendly, but quite slow and their English is not very good which makes communication diffocult at times. When breakfast was ordered to the rooms they consistently arrived half an hour earlier than planned forgetting many items. When having breakfast at the hotel restaurant you need to plan for at least one hour, as it is not a buffet and ordering food takes a lot of time . When ordering from the beach they took half an hour minimum and often ignored the buzzer / the signs. Irene is an absolutely wonderful place and classy hotel, however, staff needs to match its level.

I checked both type of rooms, best take the room that does not have two floors, it feels a bit nicer and the pool is larger. Great location. Brand new very high end room in top quality with great private small pool on the beach with undisturbed view. Nice pool, great atmosphere. Nice staff. 7 minutes nice drive to walking street. Great beach and warm sea with beautiful colors. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. Absolutely book this rooms.

Food that is not Thai food needs to be seriously improved. Be careful of red ants. Need to improve training of staff. But do go to this place, I think it is one of the best in Thailand.

We booked a villa on the beach with our own pool. It was stunning, immaculately clean. other then a lack or storage space I couldnt fault the accommodation. It was cleaned every day and turned down every evening by very lovely staff. Breakfast options were good, took us a few days to work out you could pick and choose from the "Set" breakfast menu. For those that were worried by the "Day Pass" comments in other reviews, it didnt affect our stay, the hotel reserve beds for residents that are not given to Day Pass holders. There is a free shuttle provided by the hotel to "Walking Street" at certain times of the day, but if you miss that they call you a taxi and its there within a few mins for a few Bhat per person. We ate in the restaurant once for lunch and once for dinner, the food was okay, but preferred to eat on Walking Street. The staff cant do enough for you which was a real credit to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

They have an App which didnt work for us at all which was a pain. I think we would have had a better experience it it had worked properly.

We stayed for two nights in a Tree Pool Villa. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed, and feel luxurious. There’s a bathtub with a view outside, and of course, a private pool for a truly relaxing experience. ‏We asked to move to a villa with more privacy — if privacy is important to you, it’s recommended to request it in advance. staff was very kind and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel has an amazing private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a pool right next to the beach. The hotel offers a shuttle service several times a day to Walking Street. You can also order breakfast to your room and have it served on a floating tray in your private pool — a wonderful upgrade to the experience, offered at no extra cost.

Prices at the beach bar and restaurant are higher compared to the rest of the island, but in our opinion, they are worth it for the comfort of the private beach experience.

This hotel is simply amazing. It has a beachfront location on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been on. Each bungalow has a massive floor to ceiling window in front of the bed opening out onto the balcony and directly onto the beach. This felt so private and yet just a few yards from the most beautiful clear water and white powdery sand. We loved the room itself; the decor was amazing and we loved having a bathtub as well as a shower. Staff at the hotel were great and offered us complimentary transfers as well as complimentary shuttle bus into town each night. Even if you don’t take a shuttle; such is the location that you can easily walk into the Main Street on Lipe. The breakfast was lovely and was delivered to your room to have on your balcony at no extra cost. We loved this hotel; it’s one of our favourite hotels ever on one of our favourite islands and we would love to return here.

Lack of privacy! Resort can do more to reduced outsiders walking on hotel grounds. Also more can be done to arrnage luxury trips to neighbouring islands.

From the greeting at check in from Nadia to Irfan sending us off and everything in between was bliss. We had such a romantic relaxing and beautiful stay. If I could personally thank everyone by name I would. From the chef and the food, the service in rooms, the dining team and spa staff, everyone made our special trip seamless and extra amazing. We stayed in the sand beachfront villas and the room had everyone and beyond! The amenities were 7 star and all requests were accommodated with a smile. I’m a picky guest when resorts claim to be 5 star but the Irene team at Irene beach resort exceeded all expectations and were simply faultless. I highly recommend and will be back! Thank you again! 🙏🏻

Our stay at Irene was nothing short of perfect. The resort is located on the best beach of the island, and is so beautiful and new. The rooms are amazing, the staff quick and attentive and made sure at all times that we were taken care of. Loved also all the little details and comfort of the room and the possibility to have your breakfast there. We were staying for our honeymoon and the Irene staff made It super special for us.
