Wirason Residence in Lamai is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to all the local attractions. Conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from Lamai’s vibrant center and the beautiful beach, it offers a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the crowded areas. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with comfortable beds for a relaxing stay. My room featured a Thai-style bathroom. I initially experienced a water pressure issue on the first day. However, after reporting it to reception, the problem was resolved within a few hours—credit to the staff for their swift action. I stayed in a first-floor room with a large balcony, offering a stunning view of the pool and the beautifully maintained garden. The pool and garden area are truly fabulous, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere that adds to the charm of this property. Breakfast is available at Wirason, with a choice of cereal and yogurt, Thai or American-style options. While the American breakfast is the same every day and might feel a bit repetitive, it’s still tasty and satisfying. The staff at Wirason Residence, including the receptionists and cleaning team, are incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. This “little piece of paradise” is a place I’d wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. I’m already looking forward to the day I can return!

Everything was good. Food was good at the hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Family rooms downstairs were good and spacious. Double rooms upstairs were significantly smaller with very small bathrooms and shower over the toilet.

Location was a bit of a walk from the centre and up a hill through a dirty street. Was a mission to cross the main road to get to the main area of town with fast traffic and no pedestrian crossings. No parking at hotel for hire cars. Pool was quite small.

The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, and really gives you the impression that you can ask him anything. Also all hotel staff is very nice, polite and makes you feel welcomed in this hotel. Breakfast offer is very tasty, but each day the same. Pool was very clean and we liked the fact that it was private. By private I mean, that we were almost the only ones who used it. And this hotel is definitely a very family friendly place. Wi-fi was super fast at second floor, but at first floor was only ok.

At first floor ants come to visit us, but that is almost at every hotel, so that is normal. At heavy rain whole bathroom was wet, because in a place of large window area is a fine mesh.

A great place to stay at. The owner Sebastian is very nice and accommodating. Family room is big with a lot of space and all the facilities you need. The garden and the pool are fabulous and we loved that the place was about 200 away from the main road so that you had a quiet night but close enough that you could get to the action in 5 minutes.

Breakfast is very good but it's the same option every day and that was a bit repetitive. Would grade higher if you could choose between at least two different options. Breakfast could also use some vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber etc. A local staff member did not understand what hard boiled egg meant which is okey but what is not okey was that she became a bit rude when we very politely tried to describe how we wanted our eggs. A minor thing but unnecessary friction.

Thank you for our stay. The position of hotel is good, quite location, in beautiful garden. Walking distance to the beach - 10-15 minutes (a lot of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, massage around). Or you can take a tuk tuk. staff was really helpful and kind, Sebastian gave us the information where to eat, helped us with rent a car, exchange money. Breakfast was perfect, you can choose American breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon) or Thai breakfast (fried rice with eggs), than there is fruit plate, good coffee, juice. Good value for money.

The location of the Residence is very good, to walk 10min to the Lamai Beach. The staff was very friendly, although not everybody speaks good english. The rooms are big and the ac is working good. The breakfast was very good, you can choose between thai or american breakfast.

The bathroom is very small and the shower is directly next to the toilet (open shower). Some space to put our stuff onto, would have been nice.

Very kind and friendly French owner provided a lot of useful advice on check-in, including a map of the local area and recommendations for what to do. Room is spare but comfortable for the price.

As a single woman traveler, I found the area a little seedy - I was looking for something quieter.

Joe and Ann were there to greet us the moment we arrived with a welcome drink, followed by a relaxing check in. They upgraded us to a large room and arranged some very good bike hire for us which was all completed within half an hour of us arriving. Joe could not do enough to help and advise us on locations and attractions around the island going far to make sure we felt happy and comfortable. he actually drove us to a restaurant on our first night which was a great recommendation. The residence itself is very relaxing and cool we felt home after 1 night of our 12 night stay they have a resident dog who is great and all of the staff are lovely. We Would highly recommend a stay here for 1 the Wirason residence is great and 2 laimai is well worth a visit.

We feel it would be ideal to be provided with or have access too drinking water however there is a 7/11 down the road which We used for large bottles.

The double room we had was stunning. The room and bathroom were massive, as was the TV, the dining table, and the makeup table. The beds were super comfortable and huge. It also looked out onto the pool and was easy to access. The single room we had was less spectacular. It was on the second floor overlooking the jungle (ish) behind the resort and had a background noise of roosters in the morning, although the balcony was quite nice. The bed was a Thai bed through and through, which was not a big deal, as I have grown quite fond of them. And the bathroom was a traditional Thai bathroom (shower splashes on the toilet, again not a big deal). The staff tidied up our room every day and replenished our bottles of drinking water. Breakfast was free and delicious (included tea/coffee, fresh juice, sausage, bacon, pancakes, toast, and eggs). Also, the French man (owner I believe) was very accommodating in allowing us to sleep 3 people in a room booked for 2 (one was a surprise visitor), and we appreciated it immensely!! He also allowed us to keep all of our things in the lobby area, as we arrived way before check-in time.

The single room was not quite what we expected, but still very nice compared to many of the other places I have stayed in my travels.

The pool, breakfast and staff were all excellent. The room was large but kinda empty and Bathroom was very small. Staff helped with recommendations, taxi's and more.

The AC was not permitted to run while away so the first 30-60 mins back you needed to cool down the room.
