There’s a lot to like about the Anantara Riverside. The hotel is kept at a very high standard of presentation both in the public areas and rooms. The staff are as good as I have experienced in stays around the world - a genuine warmth. I think the hotel strikes a good balance between resort and the city/sights. Use the hotels ferry and the public transport both River and land is excellent. We always get a Rabbit Card for the BTS when we arrive and makes the train travel easy (you need your passport at the station when you buy the Rabbit Card).

Although my room size wasn't huge, it had everything I needed and it was all very thoughtfully arranged. I absolutely loved my stay; the pool was fantastic, and there was a nice deep section in addition to the more family-focused end. Great food and dinner entertainment that was different every night I stayed there. Everything was beautiful, and having the boat right there was convenient for exploring the city and its surroundings. All staff were genuinely pleasant and very accommodating, got a 2pm check out without a fuss.

The spa was beautiful but expensive. Spa music would have been nice.

This was our third stay as a family at Anantara Riverside. We have stayed for a further 5 nights this year. We love the large pool, the location on the river with its handy shuttle boat, the restaurant options and quality of the cuisine. Staff are attentive and kind.

We didn’t know before booking that they were having renovations to the main restaurant, which was disappointing because the large outside dining terrace is one of favourite aspects of the hotel. This fact also meant that breakfast was being served in two locations. The alternative breakfast buffet at Trader Vic’s restaurant just didn’t work, it was crowded, loud and an unpleasant experience. We chose instead to eat at the Brio in the morning, but the choices didn’t appear as wide, but at least it was calm and pleasant. Although the food was still excellent in both and this problem will be resolved soon enough.

Fantastic hotel unlike many others. I honestly loved pretty much everything about this place including breakfast, gym, pool and the room. The coffee shop is nice and we enjoyed the bar as well. And, unlike some other reviews, breakfast does include European-style pastries. The property is also directly attached to a small which is very convenient.

The only thing we didn't like was the TV, which was too small and didn't work well as it was constantly reloading. The hotel is also a bit far away from common tourist locations, but that wasn't an issue for us.

Our room overlooked the Bangkok River so there was an endless parade for us to watch. Staff were exceptional and breakfast would make the fussiest eater weep. The breakfast staff were top notch and up for any request no matter how ridiculous. The free shuttle ferry to civilisation was great as were the concierge staff for whom the most menial request was handled faultlessly.

The Elephant Bar. How can any supposedly intelligent manager of anything advertise a happy hour then only offer drinks that even an alcoholic wouldn't touch whilst price gouging guests on everything else. We all expect to be ripped off in 5 star hotels but they shouldn't kick you to death in the process. No wonder the bar was empty more often than not except for business travellers on bottomless expense accounts.

We stayed for 3 nights at Anantara resort Bangkok our way back from Europe, the resort is lovely and had everything you need without leaving the resort. The room was large and the bed comfortable, the breakfast was good and a huge variety. It was approximately 45-50 mins from the airport by car. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. We had 2 wonderful appointments at the day spa and it was 10/10. The Italian restaurant was our favourite, the food was some of the best Italian food we have eaten we would highly recommend eating at the Brio restaurant, the staff are so attentive and we had a lovely piano player whilst we ate. The wine was very expensive though when converted to Aus dollar throughout the resort. The Thai food was nice at the pool and in the bar area. They had live music / bands every night at the bar area and this was a real highlight.

The wine prices are very pricey. We had a not so nice view from our window which was disappointing, room 732 overlooks a concrete roof and you can such see the river in the distance. A rooftop garden could fix this problem.

as advertised, the luxuriant und spacious garden amidst the cramped and traffic-busy Bangkok feels like an oasis. The location along the Chao Praya and the hotel boat service are invaluable assets. Breakfast buffet offers lots of choices, with an view over the serene river. We got an upgrade to a junior suite and early check-in. Got to mention that there was a construction site in the neighbourhood but it was not that bad. With the speed they work in Thailand the works should finish soon.

Not really anything there. Maybe it was sometimes messy to find your way around in the hotel due to the fact that there are two buildings for the rooms and the lobby has two levels. A schematic plan to help with orientation might be helpful. But again many guests may not want to bother with studying the plan. And getting a litte bit lost allows one to explore a bit the hotel.

Breakfast was good. Lot of continental, Thai , Chinese cuisine spread. Loads of fruit options and beverages. However i would suggest if the Indian Cuisine served could have a little bit of more better options. Cold paratha was a bit of disappointment. Overall great taste and good food. Staff was very humble helpful and eager to serve. Check in and check out was superb. Front desk staff absolutely amazing. Taxi service was great. Location is in south side very peaceful and calm. IconicSiam was a superb shopping paradise nearby to the hotel. The hotel had another inhouse shopping Plaza which was very nice. The shuttle boat service was 10/10. All the in-house restaurant had such unique decor and theme. Swimming pool at its best. The Housekeeping staff was very sweet. we loved the property so much that will be visiting again very soon.

Nothing to complain as such. Everything was really good.

We were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite. The room was GORGEOUS. We had a view of the river, and at night, it was fun seeing all of the water vessels lit up. We had stayed at the resort on the first two days of our trip, checked out, and then returned for one night after a stay in Chiang Mai. If I were to return to Bangkok I would stay at this resort again. I highly recommend it. Also, I lost my passport on day one of the trip. I dropped it in the taxi as I was getting out of the taxi going into the resort. The staff were SOOOOOOOOO helpful in trying to get my passport (and camera) back to me. Unfortunately, I was not able to get them back and I had to go to the US Embassy to get an emergency passport.

We had a lovely stay at this resort. The location was perfect — convenient yet peaceful. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a wide variety and fresh, delicious options. The room was clean and well-maintained, though it did feel a bit smaller than expected. Overall, a great experience with friendly service and beautiful surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay — truly nothing to complain about. The resort is serene and lush with greenery, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. We personally loved that the location felt tucked away from everything, though some might find it a bit less convenient depending on their plans. The view from our room was amazing, and everything was clean and well-kept. The room did feel a bit smaller than expected, but it was still very comfortable. A lovely getaway overall!
