Location: on the other side of Chao Phraya river, so suitable for family/kids as it is away from the other rather unsavoury distractions of the city (eg., Patpong / Nana, etc). Breakfast: Adequate continental options along with some local Thai dishes. Room: we had taken the river-view room and the views at sunrise and evenings were breath-taking. Our room on the 3rd floor faced the river on the east and so we enjoyed the lovely sunrise from our bed. Overall: All in all, it is a very good option in case you are travelling with family/kids. It is located on the other (western) side of the river. The swimming pool and eating areas had great views of the river and the riverfront on the opposite side. Ibis provides shuttle services to the nearest BTS - which is Krung Thonburi, making commute to the central parts of the city quite convenient. For quick bites, there are 2 7-eleven stores just a minute away from the hotel. Iconsiam Mall is also quite close by - 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes Bolt ride.

They did not provide room slippers, dental kits, etc. And I feel, given all the other amenities, Ibis should have given those.

We travelled with our cat and were all warm welcomed. We had a quiet room which I prefer. The size of the room was ok, not big, but not tiny either. The location is great, there's a 7/11 down the street and 10 minutes walk you reach the ferry boats on Chao Praya. The pool is amazing, it is big and has a view to the river. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options, Western and Asian food, also vegetarian options. The staff was very friendly, at the reception, at breakfast and also the cleaning lady. Very good option for Bangkok at a reasonable price.

It is good that there are different sections for smoking and non-smoking at the pool area and the restaurant, but I would prefer a non-smoking hotel because the smoke does still get in your nose and lungs.

This is a great hotel for exploring - right opposite the Sathron ferry terminal for easy access to the river. There are a number of restaurants within ten minute walk and further afield - 1/2 hour walk there are many more. Breakfast is varied and sitting outside overlooking the river is a great way to start your day. Pool is sufficient after a day of exploring. The rooms are a little small but they are as the pictures show, there are no balconies and the window does not open but not really a problem - the air conditioning in our room was spot on. Shower worked great and was pretty powerful. This hotel is one mile walk away from the massive shopping centre IconSiam which is really worth a visit. Would stay here again as it is close but also a quiet place.

Excellent location if you want to be near the river. It is a distance to drive to the city centre and traffic is bad at times but I preffered ending the day watching the boats go by as the city can be overwhelming sometimes. 7 eleven and a little mall, dining options nearby. Not to far from icon siam and asiatique. Thai massage on site as well as a tour agent in the lobby, both services that I made use of ans would recommend. We had a great stay and would return even thought the hotel does need a revamp.

The hotel is ageing. Its evident from the condition of the rooms. The wood is cracking, paint peeling of... however this didn't take away from the excellent, friendly and helpful staff as these issues are beyond their control. Most of the issues are aesthetic and don't affect your stay but a revamp is needed.

The hotel was well run, professional, helpful staff and it was great to have a pool to use. I liked the lobby area and the restaurant had enough choices of food and drinks. The river view is stunning and it was very pleasant to sit outside facing the river to eat and take in the view. I have not stayed in this part of Bankok before, it was fun to stay near the IconSiam shopping centre and take the sky train from not too far away from hotel. I would stay there again. The place was clean, well run and professional. Thank you for a good stay!

I did come during a very busy period and the hotel had many families staying there, it did feel quite hectic. No error on the hotel's part of course.. but as usual, families with young kids means a bit noisy, pool taken over by kids and balls and barely any free sun-beds. Corridors were a bit echoey and when people talk loudly outside you can hear it. I wish guests all over the world were more considerate of this and kept their voices down late at night and early morning. Maybe just one suggestion is it would be great to have a few more vegan food options on the menu & oat milk. Thank you.

I come here since they opened 15 years ago . Some of the staff is still there ! Location is fantastic , along the river so you can see the world go by. good value . I always book the river view rooms as it is wonderful to see the city and the river by night. Great bar area to sip a beer.

I have noticed a decline in the breakfast offerings over the years. The absence of green tea, especially in an Asian setting, is surprising, as only black tea is available. Expanding the tea selection would require minimal effort and greatly enhance the experience. Additionally, the removal of pancakes and waffles from the buffet is disappointing. The bread quality also appears to be industrial rather than freshly made. A more thoughtful approach to the presentation and variety of both Western and Asian dishes would significantly improve the overall dining experience.. /

Things that really matter: great bed and pillows, a kettle, a fridge, hot shower and lots of drinking water. Ibis provided all. Nice pool and garden area to hang out and watch the river boats go by. Super close location for BTS, IconSiam, lots of restaurants and services within 2 blocks of Ibis. Good buffet breakfast with lots of choice. I had a big salad every morning cause salad is hard to come by on the street. 😀

No electrical outlet near bed. Bring along a long extensions if you want to charge devices close to bed. Lots of slamming doors early morning from both guests and staff.

The room was excellent, Breakfast had a very good variety to cover all tastes. The pool area was good and with a bar adjacent made it very attractive place to relax. Staff could not be more helpful.

The location was reasonable. Close proximity to Icon Siam and a ferry across the river were handy. The access from the road was occasionally a bit of hold up but manageable. Distance to center of Bangkok was a bit more intricate to get to but was not a major factor in selecting the hotel. The bar inside the hotel often did not appear to be open as no staff appeared to be in attendance.

Perfectly located near IconSiam, stayed here a couple of times already. Hotel shuttle to nearest train station. Guarded parking free of charge. Large pool by the river. Heavy traffic towards IconSiam, especially in the afternoon and on weekends. If you don't mind walking in the heat, it's quicker than a taxi. River boat acces under the bridge, just 10 min walk from the hotel. 8/10 would book here again.

Ibis Riverside Bangkok is conveniently located hotel that unfortunately begins to show its age. Shower only lukewarm. If you get a low price it's good value for money. Breakfast not recommended as the restaurants outside offer better value for money.

We loved the location it was away from all the hussle and bustle of the city, but with plenty of places to eat and a 7 eleven at the end of the street. The pool was a good size, but the water was very cold. The outdoor area around the pool was lovely. Breakfast was adequate. We ate at the restaurant twice, and the food was delicious. Happy hour was 5-7pm, its a lovely spot to sit and watch all the boats on the river it was a beautiful view. I would stay there again it was very well priced.

The room and bathroom were clean, but it really needs an upgrade. The flooring was ripped and peeling, and air-conditioning was so loud and not working properly.
