the mattress was to soft for us, we would recommend to choose a medium-hard mattress so it’s not super soft and not super hard - knowing that mattress tastes can be very individual :)

Comfortable and spacious room at a great price. We had the window room with lots of natural light - the rooms without windows might have felt a little dark and cavernous. The bed was comfortable, the shower and bathroom were great, and we had everything we needed. It was nice they had a shared kitchen and laundry available for use in the lobby area - we didn’t use them but appreciate these kinds of facilities being available.

The hotel is down a quiet street - nice for sleeping, but within the building you hear the clanging of doors open and closing. The room was clean, fresh and modern, but could have benefitted from a bit more artfulness.

The receptionists were very helpful and friendly. We had a 3 am check in and Alex helped us check in very fast and smoothly. Its just a 10 min walk from icon siam. This hotel was the perfect stop before our krabi/ phuket trip. The bathroom was spacious and had good water pressure. There was a dryer & washer available for use as well.

Hallway noises from other guests can be easily heard from your room. I wish the rooms were more soundproof. Since there were a lot of late night check-ins, i wouldn't recommend this to people who are light sleepers. Or make sure you bring some ear plugs

Lovely accomodation! The rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We arrived at 10 in the morning, so check-in was not possible yet. The staff gave us a room upgrade for free so that we could take a nap and so we didn’t have to wait. Amazing service! The location is perfect, close to several forms of transportation. We were also able to leave some stuff that we bought in Bangkok there for the upcoming weeks because we will stay at varmtel again when we leave Thailand. Perfect that this was possible!

There is no breakfast. For us no problem but maybe keep this in mind when booking :)

The hotel was beautiful inside, exceeding my expectations. It was also close to everything, literally walking distance, like the Iconsiam, BTS and nearby MRT/train stations, the Chao Phraya river, close to convenience stores and other shops, etc. It is accessible as well The building was clean with a minimalist look but aesthetically designed. Good value for money, too. There was an effective elevator that actually performed like a 5-star hotel kind of elevator. It wasn't slow nor too tiny compared to the other hotels we've been to. The room was spacious enough for the amount we paid and despite being a small hotel than other big hotel chains, and the toilet was also big and shower had a nice hot water. The bed was big enough for us and it was so comfortable, we slept soundly and the staff would routinely clean the place very well. One great feature as we liked was the fact that there was a laundry machine at no extra cost, with free powdered soap and they allowed guests to use it and hang the clothes at the rooftop. We also had the chance to chill at the rooftop at night. And the main treasure of the hotel are simply the staff, specifically the beautiful Alex, who was so accommodating to us and made us feel like family. She was great managing the place and attending to the needs and enquiries of the guests. It felt like home away from home. I will definitely recommend this place and would come back to this hotel on my future trips to Bangkok! =)

Currently they don't serve breakfast but they do have a dining area to eat your takeaways/orders. Grab Eats would easily find the place and also there are nearby shops/restaurants and the popular Iconsiam just a few minutes walk, where we usually went to every time we were hungry.

I liked everything about my stay at Varmtel Hotel in Bangkok. As a solo traveler, i felt really safe. I even felt like home. The Staff was so kind and had much understanding as I had planned a complicated itinerary in Thailand. I was staying at the Varmtel Hotel for a total of eight nights, but in between, I was traveling for five nights outside of Bangkok. However, I left my belongings at the hotel before returning to Varmtel for the remainder of my stay. The Hotel is really clean and close to everything you need. The Hotel has a shared kitchen where you can cook and consume Tee and Coffee every time you want. They also have a laundry corner. I really recommend Varmtel.

I liked everything

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved the location of the hotel which was on a side street and away from the main road. Bedding is comfortable, service is warm and rooms are quiet. There is a row of stalls located on the same side street (just as you exit the main road to walk to the hotel) that are actually very good. The first stall sells drinks and we only realised almost to the end of our stay that they do good drinks. The stall owner even speaks decent English. There is also a fruit stall vendor on a motorbike that sets up in the mornings if you ever need fresh fruit. Love the Thai tangerines. There is a 24 hour convenience store at the entrance of the side street that's well stocked and with an ATM for cash. Many more food options on the side street directly opposite (across the main road). Icon Siam is an easy 5 minute walk away but the ground floor food court is too expensive and crowded. Food offerings are better in other shopping malls. Shopping is great though.

Deeper knowledge of the local area for sharing would be appreciated - where to get great local food at various odd hours of the day, which nearby stalls are good, etc.

This was another surprise package for me. Discreet from the outside, almost underselling itself online, everything about this place was fantastic. The rooms are tasteful and gorgeous, and spotlessly clean. The building is charming inside. There is coffee and tea available at all times, a kitchen area, washing machine, and a lovely area for sitting near reception. But the staff really made it for me. Absolutely delightful people who were discreet but incredibly helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this chic boutique hotel.
