I’d like to give a big shoutout to the wonderful staff. Although they didn’t speak English, they were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my stay. When I was checking in, I noticed one of the staff members with a bunch of fresh lychees. Curious, I asked her where she got them from, but she simply shook her head—so I assumed she either didn’t understand or didn’t want to share, and I let it go. To my surprise, when I returned to my room later that evening, I found a bag of fresh lychees hanging on my door. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made my day. Aside from this sweet experience, the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The care and generosity of the staff really stood out and added a special touch to my stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Companion — it felt more like a peaceful, private retreat than a typical hostel. The entire property is beautifully designed and well maintained. For a shared environment, it was incredibly quiet and serene. I didn’t see any other guests throughout my entire stay, which made it feel unusually calm and restful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shared kitchen was clean and well-equipped, with a fridge that had cold bottled water — a thoughtful touch. The freezer wasn’t even in use, so there was plenty of extra space available if needed. I did hear some noise once during my first night, which let me know there were other guests, but I never heard anything after that and never saw anyone else. The location is great — there’s an incredibly affordable fruit market just a short walk away that I highly recommend. The only other minor issue was that the microwave in the kitchen stopped working on my last day, even though it had been working fine before. Overall, it was a really lovely stay. Despite a few small issues, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

On checkout day, the cleaners were speaking very loudly while cleaning nearby rooms. My one complaint is that they should be more mindful of their volume — some guests might still be asleep, especially if they're checking out at noon. Another area for improvement is WhatsApp communication. Messages weren’t answered promptly, which can be inconvenient when you need assistance. I needed to store my bags after checkout, and it took some effort to get a response. Eventually, someone came after I called and kindly allowed me to keep my bags until about 5:45 PM, which I really appreciated

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism, immediately making us feel welcome. She was incredibly accommodating, answering all our questions and offering help whenever we need. The hotel itself was spotless. The common areas were impeccably clean, and our room was no exception. It was spacious, well-maintained, and had all the modern amenities I could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. One of the standout features of the hotel was its game room. Me and my friends were able to play PS3 and had a great time. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness, helpful staff, and top-notch facilities made for a fantastic stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

For the price it was great. We had a private room with bunk beds and curtains for privacy. Bathrooms just for us. It was clean. Only a 5ish minute walk to the metro. Plenty of stores and food nearby. Laundry across the road. Nice kitchen and hang out area available. Lots of books, games, bean bag chairs, and big TV.

We were on the 4th floor so lots of stairs. No elevators. Got plenty of exercise though! Each bunk had its own light but not all of them worked.

The location was perfect. Close to BTS and several convenient stores and a laundromat.

1. The trash bin in the toilet was smelly. It should have a lid to lessen the smell. 2. The stairs have small steps. 3. When I booked the room and checked the facilities, it says "Private Bathroom" and "Ironing Facilities," but the room didn’t have a private bathroom, and the ironing facility is nonexistent.

- the rooms are good size & super clean - the beds are really, really comfortable - good infrastructure around with various supermarkets, food options (great indian food around the corner), massage studios etc, plus mrt station - we liked the area, it’s an authentic, rather non-touristic neighborhood - the common area is nice, has music instruments and board games; the kitchen is well-equiped - the staff are friendly & the communication was easy

- we liked the fact that it’s non-touristic neighborhood, however this means that you need a metro/grab ride to go anywhere - which of corse takes time and money. so, if it’s your first time in bangkok and you have limited time, you might want to stay somewhere more central. but for longer stays it’s a great budget option ;)

Management was very responsible and responsive. They left informative instructions for us to self check-in in the evening hours as they close at 9pm. Very clean and minimalist place. No clutter. There's some nearby local eateries away from tourists which was great if you're into trying out local food without the influence of tourism. The subway line is literally 3 mins walk away. Takes about 20 mins or so to get to the heart of Bangkok. We met a group of fellow countrymen on the same floor with us during our stay. Great minds think alike. This is a nice accommodation if you want cleanliness and a place to chill after a long day out in the heat. Management allowed us to keep baggages there after checking out. This gave us more time with Bangkok without the burden of baggages before we caught our flight out later in the evening. Thanks Companion.

The hostel is really conveniently located. The BTS is so close. There is a grocery store, 7-11, and a TOPS Daily very close by. There is a laundromat as well. There are coffee shops too. The hostel is clean. The hostel is not loud.

There are bugs you have to watch out for. Do not leave food out, even closed. The bugs will find a way to get inside.

What’s not to like? The bedding was the softest we have ever experienced and had the pleasure of sleeping in, it was like laying in a cloud. The room was light, bright and airy with high ceilings. Located in a great area, spoilt for choice of food and drink, shops and laundry. A short walk to a BTS station too. And the staff were a delight!!

The curtains let a lot of light in but that’s the only negative!

Spotlessly clean with the perfect configuration for our group. We had a private bunk room with two showers, two toilets and a communal sink. Plenty of storage for gear and the air con could be cranked to sub-Arctic for my kids who were suffering in the heat. Not cramped, lounges to hang out in with a PlayStation.

My kids moaned about walking up four flights of stairs to our room but quickly got used to it.
