Love this boutique hotel with Japanese culture influences. Staff at reception and porters are polite and helpful. Love the welcoming drink made especially by the staff. We were upgraded to a large room which is spacious with luxurious facilities. A welcome card was handwritten by the management. Walking distance to Nimam Street, which has lots of specialty coffee and food. Hotel breakfast is absolutely a surprise. Unlike the buffet breakfast in most hotels, here the chef cooks for you. You can order as much as you can. I felt like eating brunch at the top restaurant.

Hotel Sensai is 10/10 we had a swim in room which was fantastic with its own little jacuzzi, joined to the pool. The pool is heated just right so very pleasant to swim in. The all you can eat à la carte breakfast is excellent in which you can sit out by the pool. We also used room service and the bar which were both good. We enjoyed the happy hour at the bar and the cocktails were delicious Kotetsu will make you any cocktail not on the menu we went with a spicy margarita. The room is a great size and clean. We had a turn down service every night with a small gift which is a lovely touch. The hotel itself is in a great location with lots of food choices and some really great coffee shops. I would recommend Hotel Sensai to anyone looking for a great hotel in a great location in Ghiang Mai. I can’t wait to come back and stay again.

The only problem we had was the temperature in the shower going hot to cold so you were always needing to adjust the tap.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff that go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. From the delicious welcome cocktail over the small gifts with traditional stories they bring to your room every evening to the wonderful pool and breakfast, you truly get a five star experience. Restaurant and bar are both extraordinary and definitely worth the slightly higher prices. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and provide everything you could possibly need including some complimentary snacks and drinks. I would definitely recommend staying in one of the rooms with pool access.

At night bars and cars from the adjacent street can be heard as well as an occasional plane. Additionally the hotel plays lounge music in the Café/ Pool area which can be heard in the rooms. However, most noice stops at midnight and earplugs are provided in your room.

Among all the 5-star hotels that I've stayed in different cities, this one was one of the best in that its service, hotel management, location, price..everything was good. As I'm a sensitive person, it's hard to be satisfied, but hotel managers and staffs definitely know what they are doing. Here are some good points: 1. They provide good quality amenities(Harnn) and snack bar for free. Around 5 cans of beverage, and 4 snacks. 2. I guess they always listen to customers' voices. There were 2 things I found uncomfortable: mosquitos and noise from outside. They provide ear plugs as amenity and when I called them for help due to mosquitos, they offered anti-mosquito spray and plug. 3. Breakfast is order-base system, and it's so tasty. 4. Staffs are always so kind and welcoming. 5. There's a bluetooth speaker, and I enjoyed using it while doing my makeup. It felt so good. 6. Although the pool is small, it's beautiful and cozy. And a staff gives you a cup of ice water whenever you chill in the pool. 7. They give you daily gift with storytelling. I'm not gonna spoil this, as this should be a surprise :D This service is so cute. 8. Even after checkout, they escort you to the taxi, and help you with your luggages. These are the things that I found really satisfying while staying. I'll definitely revisit this place. Thank you Hotel staffs :) You made my holidays !

You can tell that a lot of thought and care goes into maintaining this hotel so that every guest feels like a VIP. - Careful touches to the room made it feel luxurious. - Room was huge with great amenities and personal touch so you feel well taken care of. - Friendly staff that make you feel welcome the moment you enter. - Pool/surroundings were lovely This is the first place I’ve stayed that I can 100% say you get value for your money. I would love to stay here again!

One male staff member in the lobby (he was mainly standing by the front desk during breakfast) kept staring at me. It made me uncomfortable when I just wanted to enjoy my breakfast in peace. I think all staff should be culturally and ethnically aware so they don’t stare at guests who look different than them. He was the only one who did it. The rest of the staff, especially my check-in the day before was perfect. Professional staff who explained everything to me when he brought me to my room and friendly smiles from the women.

Hotel Sensai is a place that strives for perfection in every minor detail and comes pretty close to achieving it. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Chiang Mai. The neighborhood is full of things to do for tourists and everything is within walking distance.

The downside of a very central location is the noise. Sounds from a neighboring bar kept me up for a couple of nights. Everywhere in Nimman, you can hear the airplanes due to the proximity of the airport. But this is not the fault of the hotel and affects all Nimman properties to some extent.

10/10 - A Perfect Boutique Experience We had an absolutely delightful stay at Hotel Sensai Nimman in Chiang Mai. This beautiful boutique hotel is a true gem, boasting stunning decor and exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, catering to all our needs and ensuring we felt truly cared for throughout our stay. The pool area is breathtakingly beautiful, especially in the evening when it transforms into a serene oasis. The bar and restaurant were also outstanding, offering a great dining experience. We were upgraded to a Sensai suite, which was a lovely surprise and added to the luxury of our stay. In-room massages were of high quality, providing the perfect relaxation. Breakfast was a highlight, with an all-you-can-eat option from an à la carte menu, offering a wide range of delicious dishes to start your day. Although we didn’t get the chance to try it, the hotel also offers a Japanese evening tea service, which sounds like a unique and intriguing experience. The location is perfect for exploring the vibrant Nimman area, yet not too far from the historic Lanna/old city, making it an ideal base for discovering Chiang Mai. Overall, this hotel is a must-visit for anyone seeking luxury, charm, and exceptional service in Chiang Mai. Absolutely 10/10!

The staff were all attentive, friendly and professional. They all made our stay very comfortable. The room was spacious, very well maintained and very clean. A lovely bathroom provided a large walk-in shower & good quality bathroom products. There were excellent lighting options throughout all areas of the room/ bathroom & terrace. Every night we received a small gift to take away with us. It was presented by housekeeping together with a fairytale type story to read about ancient Thailand - such a lovely thing to do for the guests of the hotel. The WiFi worked very well with no problems. Our terrace had pool access and a jacuzzi - so lovely but not private as sun beds located directly opposite our room. Breakfast was served to you and the choice was a bit limited but all food ordered was delicious and we certainly had enough to choose from! Location is good and there are lots of shops, restaurant's & bars very close by, plus a large indoor shopping centre (although we did not know this until Day 2 of our stay). It is a bit of a distance from the Old Town but we enjoyed the area for the start of our stay in Chiang Mai and the staff were all so lovely and made us feel very welcome and looked after.

More information on the local area would have been good during check-in and definitely a map! We really considered moving on our arrival day/night until we stumbled across the busy part of Nimman (curtesy of a taxi ride home from the old town) and decided to stay. We had 3 lovely days in the local area and really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Sensai was the best hotel we stayed in during our travels around Thailand. The staff go above and beyond here! Upon arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome drink and were told our room had been upgraded. The room was absolutely amazing! The pool is heated and so nice for relaxing. The breakfast as well as the lunch/dinner food here is incredible. The location of the hotel is also perfect. You can walk to many things and both tours we booked, picked us up right in the hotel lobby. I can't recommend Hotel Sensai enough!

Absolutely nothing!!

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. No other hotel has come close to Hotel Sensai. Every hotel I stay in, in Thailand, I compare it to Hotel Sensai and no other hotel is as good. From the second you pull up in your taxi, your 5 star service starts! The staff are so beautiful and kind ! Hotel is so pretty and the rooms are amazing!! The breakfast in the morning was so tasty. We only stayed for 2 nights but I wish we could of stayed for more.. It is a small hotel but it has everything you need and is designed very well. Would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Chiang Mai and will stay there again when I come back to Chiang Mai.
