I stayed in a king room and it was better than I expected it to be! The room had a small sitting room and a separate bedroom which was lovely. The bathroom was a decent size and the bed was very comfy. Also, all the staff were extremely welcoming and kind: every day they would say hello and ask how I was. They also have a couple of cats in reception which are very friendly and cute! They offer free water to guests which is always great (bottled and refill). The hotel is also in a great location, it’s very quiet and just down the road from Stamps Hostel which is a great place to meet new people if that’s what you’re looking for! Overall this is my favourite hotel I have stayed at during my time in Thailand and I would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and comfortable, was able to sleep well. The AC in the room is good, though the hotel is close to hostels and bars we couldn’t hear any outside noise (except the first night of a festival when someone let off fireworks in the street, but earplugs were enough to handle that). Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, it was a welcoming place. I would recommend and return!

Lighting in the room is a little dim. Bathroom is a wet room with electric shower but the water pressure and temp was fine every time I used it.

Location, very nice people, helpful and friendly. Free bottled water available anytime. Good AC fridge in room a plus cute room but just enough for one person at least in the standard room. Good price almost the same as a hostel.

The shower on the ground floor is moldy cramped and the ceiling in the room is a little lower so the room feels smaller, not suitable for 2 people. It is small for even one person or let say just enough. I felt close phobic in that room there is 2 windows one open up in the alley and one is kind of blocked also There is a laundromat right outside the room. At night there was the usual sound of washing machine. I requested to change my room to 2nd or third floor, they did change the room and it was way better. The third floor is better than the 2nd I think the ceiling is higher. And there was no mold in the bathroom. I would request third floor everytime I stay there.

The room is spacious and the location is only a few minutes from Thapae Gate and other attractions in the old town . The staff speaks English and are very helpful. I was into taking a Thai cooking class and the staff made some recommendations and confirmed with the cooking school if there was any vacancy. If there was not, he gave an alternative based on my needs and checked again. Finally, I had a wonderful cooking experience.

The water volume of the shower was a bit unstable, but acceptable. Not a major problem at all.

Close to the key parts of the old towns including shops, restaurants, bars and temples. It is also a good value and the on-site laundrette was useful. Breakfast was delicious. Free water was very convenient. 24 hour front desk.

Simply not hanging the “do not disturb” sign doesn’t get your room cleaned. You need to hang out the sign that states “clean my room”. Thick pillows. Bikes zooming outside in the early morning - but that’s because I am noise sensitive.

Very comfy bed. Free water. Decor Thai style. Netflix on tv. Central in old town. Great restaurants just opposite especially for brunch. Walking distance to most sights Inc night bazaar. The staff kindly ironed a dress for me. Someone’s worked very hard making the place look nice with all the painting on the wall and wooden wall art. Staff were helpful and helped me resolve a problem with the booking quickly. They all work very hard which is evident to see :)

Some noise from road and lobby but not late at night which is good. Shower gets the toilet wet but not a big deal.

Very friendly and helpful owners/staff, combined with a lovely private room, made me glad I'd booked this place. Lodge is just north of The Phae Gate and set on a quiet street, so it's a pretty quiet location. I slept incredibly well in the room which had comfortable bed, great linens and a mini fridge in which I could cool water. There was also a flat screen tv in the room, should you want to turn in early and watch Netflix! On site there's a vegetarian restaurant (closes at 4pm). The people who work there are extremely friendly, one speaks fluent English and they can't do enough for guests. I'm very glad I chose this place to stay.

It might be nice to have a communal space somewhere there for people to meet each other - there is a lobby, but it's not a place you would want to sit for too long (no air con and not designed for socializing). Other than that, it's great.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly, we stayed just under 3 weeks here and they made us feel at home. The room itself was small, but it had a TV with netflix and a strong WiFi connection. It was cheap to stay here, would definitely recommend for people travelling on a budget. They also have a menu at the restaurant, which we used quite lot. It is all Vegetarian, where the majority of meals if not all can be made Vegan. They have 2 very cute, friendly cats that hang around in the lobby which you can pet and play with. The water cut off one night due to workmen in the area cutting the watter supply, and Vlodge got us a room at another hotel at no extra charge. They also offered to take other guests to another hotel to shower, if they chose to stay at Vlodge. One of the reception staff also let us use his adapter charger, as ours wasn't very good. They also let us take a set of cuttlery from the kitchen, when we ordered food to the hotel via delivery. They also provided us with painkillers when we wasn't very well.

The only thing to fault at Vlodge was the shower. The shower is not separated from the toilet, as it is all open. So when showering, there was no way that the toilet wouldn't get soaked with water. However, after a few days we got used to it, and it was just a normality by the end of our trip. But don't let this stop you from trying this amazing place, you will definitely enjoy it!

The bed was very comfortable. The lobby cats are so sweet...I miss them already. My room was wonderful.

I have to admit that initially I had no idea that the V in Vlodge was short for vegan or vegetarian. That's on me...I am clearly neither. The location is a bit difficult for me to navigate...no sidewalks.

Absolutely lovely modest hotel in a wonderful location. For people who like Vegan/ Vegetarian Food they have so many options. I wish I could go back & taste everything they had to offer on their menu. Also walking distance to many wonderful locations. The staff is absolutely lovely. They have two beautiful cats to put a smile on your face when you arrive. My room was ready early. The bed was very comfortable & the wifi was amazing. Everything nicely set up.
