For us, the location was excellent — within walking distance of where we needed to go. Parking for both a car and a scooter is available. The room was clean and spacious, even comfortable for a family of four. The bathroom was large, with the option of a bathtub or a shower. Breakfast was sufficient for a guest with basic expectations.

The first thing we noticed was a bad smell in the bathroom, which spread into the room. It went away after a few hours, but came back the next day, though not for the entire time. What bothered me more was the position of the bed facing the air conditioner — it blows directly onto your head and can't be adjusted to avoid that.

We stayed at the hotel for one week. It had a good location at about 15min walk to the clock tower and 10 min walk to the Saturday night market. We first had some difficulties checking in, but they ended up giving us an upgrade in no time. The room had a big table that came in handy when we both worked on our computers. The breakfast was amazingly good and very variable. All the staff were extremely friendly. They always answered promptly to all our needs. The value for money was excellent. If we were to return to Chiang Rai, we would definitely stay again at Baan Pordeedin.

The staff is really kind and helpful. They gave us suggestions about tours, they booked for us a taxi when we left and they cooked for us some delicious vegan food for breakfast as we are vegan. We really appreciated that! Our room was on the second floor. It was clean and sunny.

The WiFi was weak in the evening. During our stay, the internet speed was about 30Mbps download and 15Mbps upload. It takes 20 minutes on foot to go to the city centre and to the Bus Terminal Station 1. The hotel offers bicycles for free, but they are not in good condition: they are rusty and dangerous to cycle.

Really pleasant en comfortable hotel! Rooms were big, shower had hot water & new water everyday! Free use of bikes was really fun! A lot of natural daylight in the room was also very nice. Beds are comfortable! & peaceful and quiet environment, 10 minutes with the bycicle from town but that’s a plus for me!

Staff were loud in the morning (moving, shuffling things, loudly talking and laughing…), not really respecting the guests who like to sleep peacefully until 9AM. But this has nothing to do with the hotel. The room itself was perfect.

An amazing place to stay in Chiang Rai, our favourite accommodation in Thailand so far! It’s extremely clean, the beds are super comfortable, it’s quiet and beautifully decorated. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The best part was the all you can eat breakfast though! There was a great choice of Thai food, eggs, salad, fresh fruit, coffee… We felt so much at home that we were sad to leave. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Chiang Rai.

We loved everything

Quite area, spacious, simple but decent breakfast provided, and on one of the days that I woke up late, they waited for me to eat before keeping the food (which I found really thoughtful and kind of them, as it shows how they recognise each guest) The staffs were really sweet, and they have bicycles for you to use to cycle to the town or to a park nearby. Location was good, not too far from the city center. Room was provided with the basics, water pressure was weak, but decent enough. Mosquito repellent provided, and they do provide water every day too.

Might be a little small for 4 large luggage, but somehow we managed. The bunk bed mattress might be a little firm for some, the double bed was a lot softer. Other than that, there's really not much to complain about

We stayed at Baan Pordeedin 4 nights and overall it was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, communication was fine even though the lady we spoke to most only spoke a very small amount of English she tried really hard to help us out. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfy. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location is a little out of town, maybe a 20 minute walk but it's quiet. Overall good value for money and I would recommend and stay again.

The hotel was simply amazing. The whole vibe is so serene and peaceful, with lounges and tables. The room itself was spotless and had every amenity required. I mean, the place smells freshness all the time. The breakfast had hot dishes and vegetarian options. It was very tasty overall. I even extended my stay because I loved it Just to know that you need a five minutes taxi to the centre but it's not a big deal. I would like to thank the whole staff and the owner for this experience. Keep on the good job

Friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. A really good selection and choice. Quiet and peaceful area. Comfy bed. Allowed us a wee bit extra time on checkout day. Cute wee garden area immediately outside our patio doors. It had a relaxing zen feeling about it. Nice to look out onto.

Shower head slightly dribbly, however plenty hot water. There were 2 very shallow steps down into the shower room. Caught us out a few times!

Our stay at Ban Pordeedin was hands down our best accommodation for our whole Thailand trip! The owner is lovely and took very good care of our family and made us feel most welcomed. The rooms were very clean, and beds were super comfy. The included breakfast was very tasty. Loved the complimentary bikes which we rode around town. Location wise, is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle,, but close enough to amenities like local restaurants and convenience stores. My wife got sick one night and the owner helped take her to hospital and offered to wait around for us whilst she was seen by the Doctor- much appreciated!

We couldn't find a fault- the whole family enjoyed Baan Pordeedin.
