Awesome place on a quiet area of the beach. Yes it’s in need of some renovation like some previous reviews has pointed out but if you’re ok with it not being a 5 star resort that’s no problem. Staff are very friendly and the owner super nice and helpful. The first day my girlfriend wanted some seafood from the menu but they were out. The next morning the owner informed us that he went fishing on the morning and now her request was available, that’s what I call good service!

For the price you hit moments of 5* luxury with more than what’s on the surface. 3-4 range all catered for various budgets.Regardsless you get a balcony in lush grounds and a handful of steps to extremely good and quite (September)might be busier in peak. Great priced massage service on the beach just outside. Bicycle hire 100baht per day. Plus they can do various priced scooters and tour booking also. Well priced restaurant by beach This and a bit of western I can go on and on I’ve already booked some time there for January

The staff was off the charts awesome. That all by itself just makes it all worth it. The rates and location were also awesome.

Neither the TV or the coffee pot warmer were working. But that's on me as I didn't bring it up. I am very confident if I did they would have fixed right away. I didn't come to Thailand to watch TV so that was easy and as far as the coffee pot...I just let it go. So I guess this doesn't really count as I didn't give them a chance to fix. Otherwise, they were very attentive to anything I might possibly want.

Marine Chaweng beach resort is simply amazing. The accommodation is just wonderful. The bedding is super comfortable, the rooms are clean, cool, up to date, modern and spacious. There is air conditioning and a fridge to keep yourself and any refreshments you may need cool in the Thai heat! I would choose to stay here again in a heartbeat, the experience is like no other hotel experience I've ever had before, it was that good! The walk from the bungalow to the beach is something that I will treasure for a lifetime the service at the hotel restaurant quite frankly rivals some of the best hotels in the world in my opinion. They also went the extra mile and transported us to the airport early in the morning, so that is something we were really grateful for as the owners work super hard to ensure the best experience for the customers. Clearly they can't do enough for their clientele! The views from the hotel restaurant are utterly divine and I'm already wanting to come back for an even longer stay next time!! I really don't understand why this place has any bad reviews at all, the place is an absolute gem of a hotel in Koh Samui close to everything but quiet enough to get a comfortable nights sleep. That staff were friendly and always happy to help. The food was amazing, especially the Thai options! The rooms were cleaned properly each day and the air-conditioning was a life saver on those particularly hot days! Loved chatting to the owner, he was very approachable, helped organise tours, teach about Thai culture and even drove me to the airport when I was leaving for a price cheaper then even grab was offering.

We upgraded our 2 person houses to a 3 rooms house on the beach ( like on the picture): a living room with good size TV, fridge, a sink , a shelf and a bar stand . There was only one king size bed in the bedroom but they kindly put two more beds for children. Then there was a dressing room with spacious built in wardrobe. It’s quite dated and we couldn’t use drawers there but we had enough space to put our clothes without using them. The third bedroom was a bathroom with a shower and bath, which I loved to take before sleep occasionally. A terrace with a bench and coffee table was facing the beach, the hammock area and the sea.

The sea was very shallow when we stayed ( second week of august), we could walk through 300 m to the island made of corals. We had to walk 15-20 min along the beach to find an area to swim with very few rocks.

Peaceful location on beautiful beach with safe bathing and scenery. Lovely English speaking owner and great service from his staff team. Value for money is 100%. I loved it. Had all my meals on the beach from the resort. Very nice food at very good price. Room had air con and room safe . Mattress was how I like them , firm. Shower not a power shower but ample. A lovely resort I could easily switch off and spend a month here it’s so relaxing. Find fault if you like but maybe that’s more about you and your expectations? Better to pay more and go for five stars if you’re not a hippy at heart like me. I will be back.

The resort is an absolute dream! You can walk right out from your bungalow onto the beach, there's a lovely reception/restaurant area right on the beach (the food that we tried there was lovely). The bungalows are great size, really good air conditioning and very comfy beds.

There's nothing to not like. Even when we had a problem (our initial bungalow lock was broken so we woke up locked in), the staff helped us straight away and switched us (to an even better bungalow!) in just 2 minutes! If you do encounter any difficulties or problems the staff are lovely and will help you out.

Small Bungalow by the beach surrounded by trees and plants was a very calm place to stay. Small islands that you can reach by rented boat were the highlight. A massage by the beach was also available. The bungalow itself was very clean and comfortable.

Everything was great, shower pressure wasn't that good but it was easy to not really mind that.

I loved this stay so much that four nights just wasn't enough- I stayed on for an extra two and could've stayed even longer! The location is absolutely perfect (seconds from the beach, yet also a few minutes' walk from the main strip of shops and restaurants), the price exceptional value for such a large-sized, comfortable and air- conditioned room, the wifi was excellent and reliable and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It took only a matter of seconds to reach the beach from my bungalow and I greatly enjoyed taking advantage of the on-site restaurant for breakfast and lunch while taking in the lovely view!

While the delivery of two small water bottles to my bungalow each day was appreciated, I don't think it's the best approach from a sustainability perspective- particularly with the huge plastic waste problem in Thailand. If the accommodation could instead offer a water filtration system/ cooler in the reception area, with large, refillable bottles (the 18.9L kind) where guests can refill their own bottles as required, this would not only be greatly appreciated, but highly admirable from an environmentally sustainable standpoint.
