We stayed at La Vida for 10 nights and it was fantastic. The location is right near the busy Chaweng strip which has lots of restaurants, bars, massage places but still quiet enough at the resort so you aren't disturbed by the hustle and bustle. The room was a good size for two people. The resort hosts a small number of guests which creates a lovely, relaxing environment. There are a few pools and the beachfront is lovely (although there was lots of rubbish for a couple of days after new year's eve parties) and feels very private. The staff are wonderful - helpful, cheerful, and efficient. Breakfast was included - it is a good spread for a small resort and the lunch and drinks menus are also varied and decently priced. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at La Vida and cannot wait to go back and recommend it to friends and family.

Since each room has a small garden area in front, there were a lot of mosquitos that entered our room which wasn't great. It is only a minor inconvenience.

We had a lovely time here. It’s in a good location which is walking distance to the main chaweng street & markets. The various swimming pools are really nice. There are plenty of sunbeds & having the canoes & paddle boards was a big bonus. The staff were all friendly & helpful. The breakfast is good as were the other meals we ordered from the restaurant. We will definitely be back. It’s not overcrowded at all.

It’s in a bay so you can’t really swim in the sea when the tide is low & there is a lot of weed & coral. You can walk to the main beach to swim in the sea but it is quite far & then no sunbeds when you are there. No real shelves/drawers to unpack clothes into & the bathroom in the deluxe room is quite small but it was fine.

Stunning beach view hotel. Comfortable and clean rooms. Very chilled atmosphere and always sun loungers available on both beach and pool. Lovely breakfast. Would return 😃

Great location on the beach. The pool was fantastic. The rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean. Staff were very friendly. We had a lovely, relaxing stay.

Location, it’s situated in a protected bay. Beach is wide enough to walk south even at high tide. We loved the small connecting pool design and jacuzzi jets. There were large beanbags to float on in the circular pool. There are a good choice of sun beds on the beach and facing in different orientations around the pool for sun options across the day. The staff swept the property. Thank you for the complimentary voucher for a welcome drink; including red wine after 5pm. Breakfast under the sail was airy. Check in was swift, there are no porters but there is a lift to the second floor. You can walk to the main, lively strip within 5 -10 minutes south. There are beach and street massage options close by. WiFi is good. Thank you for providing body lotion. The mattresses and light duvet were comfortable. The room has a torch, canvas bag for the beach and umbrella.

Even better if: More and/or larger coffee machine(s) at breakfast- coffee service was slow Reduce use of plastic- individual plastic yoghurt pots are unnecessary Rake the beach either side of the hotel - properties either side are disused post pandemic and unsightly rubbish is building up Instal towel hooks in the bathroom- hanging wet, long towels above a toilet cistern doesn’t work! The odd numbered properties facing the garden have a much better outlook- the even numbered balconies are disappointing in the main building Please provide two pillow options rather than having to use cushions as a second Be aware as Koh Samui returns to normal there are still disused, derelict buildings close by and opposite the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, modern and clean throughout. Very boutique feel, right on Chaweng beach. Perfectly located close to the airport and the main part of Chaweng! Would stay again for sure, the staff were all friendly and helpful especially the receptionist.

The building opposite is derelict so when you come out the hotel you see a run down building with graffiti, although this is not down to La Vida but it is a shame.
