I really enjoyed my time there. The location was perfect, right in front of the beach. The rooms were well equipped, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. A special thank you to the incredibly friendly staff, especially the manager. He always asked about our well being and was really friendly and funny. When my girlfriend and I were sick, he took great care of us. We received tea, fresh lemons, and honey in our room. Additionally, it was my girlfriend’s birthday, and the staff sang a song for her and gave her a gift. A big thank you also to "Kan," who worked in the restaurant. He always had a smile on his face and was truly friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. We had a pizza, and I must say, I’ve rarely had such a good one. I will definitely return. I've been in Samui for over 20 years, but this is my first time in Chaweng. JALMIN, in northern Chaweng, is close to the nightlife but feels isolated from the party district's noise. It is only a short distance away from the bar, and it provides an ambience that is both warm and friendly. From the early morning to the late night, JALMIN provides authentic Italian-Thai "RICE" that is of the best quality and will savourily fulfil the appetites of all persons.

Although I only stayed there for a brief period of time, I must confess that I was unable to discover anything more suitable than to remain there once more and again.

This is the best budget hotel. Amazing staff you feel home with them and always willing to help. I have stayed in two different hotels but JALMIN hotel was the best. Best location for me 10 minutes walk to the night life. The bed was so soft and comfortable which is rare to find in Thailand. The room was so cosy and good size. My room had big bed and small bed but i have requested to have chairs and they managed to remove the bed and put comfy chairs with a table for me and they replaced the TV to smart TV so the conclusion they are willing to do everything to make your stay comfortable and i felt i am home with the room and hotel staff. Beach is across the road you can choose to sit in any hotel bar of your choice.

Nothing negative but no elevator so if you can't climb the stairs then make sure to request lower floor. The hotel has 3 floors plus the ground floor.

Staff are amazing! Property location is directly opposite acsess to the beach. But is hard to find on goggle maps as it is above a restaurant which was confusing on arrival in the dark. If you’re looking to party is it perfectly situated next to it all but due to being set back and above the restaurant I didn’t hear anything once. The restaurant gives discount to hotel customers and does great food and drinks. The room was spacious with a huge window looking at greenery. Some comments have complained about there being no bed frame and the bed situated on the floor, this didn’t bother me and the mattress was super comfortable. My only slight complaint was the room had a slight smell I believe due to the air con needing a filter change.

Nice staf, good location - close to everything (but the surroundings aren’t nice - abandoned buildings), good breakfast, big bed, provides water everyday

The room doesn’t have a hairdryer( you have to ask at the reception), loud in the mornings (some construction work close by) - even though you have your window closed. Big minus is the bathroom door - you can see through ( it s not a full door)and the window is not window (just a space with mosquito net) so you can hear loud and clear the outside noise

I was in a rush and read reviews and was concerned. I did not need to be. My instinct reading between the lines I knew they could not be correct and prob from non travellers. I had a cheaper room. It was very very nice , clean , fantastic bed , fab shower , secure , kettle , fridge , TV that has everything, . I could not want for more Friendly , helpful staff. And they hire quality scooters. There is nothing not to like ? It is in the main town near shops but madly close to the beach too. A short walk on an eve and your sat watching fire shows. Ideal place to stay and check the island out .

Can't think of not liking a single thing !

The deluxe room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, providing us with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel staff were exceptional, offering friendly and attentive service throughout my time there. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotel's restaurant. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, making each meal a delightful culinary experience. Additionally, the hotel's quiet location, within walking distance of the city center, provided the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.

For my opinion, the appearance of the shower needs a little refreshing according to the design of the room

The hotel is located at the end of the party street so it was quiet but it was easy to reach to anywhere. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The food in the restaurant was good. The beach is a short walk away.

There are no mosquito nets on the windows There was no elevator but the staff was helping with the luggage up the stairs There was no luggage room, however you could leave the luggage in the lobby/restaurant.

Lovely place, lovely room, bed was so comfy. Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, I was very sad to leave and would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, quiet but minutes walk from all the bars/beach and action. Also we ate here a few times and it was all really tasty, I’d say the best pad Thai on the island. Also get a discount if you’re staying at the hotel.

We stayed at Jalmin for 2 days and had a wonderful experience. The staff and their hospitality truly stood out- even before I reached the entrance, someone spotted me from afar and came running to help with my luggage. It was a last-minute booking for us, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful team. Highly recommend!
