We loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the beautiful surroundings. The hosts were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home, and the location was perfect for relaxing and exploring the area. Plus, the fact that you can let the kids enjoy the play area with a nanny watching over them, giving parents a bit of quality time, is just perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

Honestly, it’s hard to find something we didn’t like. If I had to mention anything, it’s probably that our stay felt too short – we just didn’t want to leave!

We’re a family of four from the UK with kids aged 12 and 14, and we had a fab stay at Maya Resort from April 7th to 19th in Villa 3. We picked this place because it’s super close to Fisherman's Village, and there’s a 7/11 just across the street – so handy! The villa was absolutely gorgeous and really well-kept. It’s got two blocks with a nice pool right in the middle, all secure with a tall fence with sliding gates. On one side, there’s a big double bedroom with its own bathroom, plus a kitchen/diner and a modern living room area with a large TV. The kitchen had all the essentials – loads of cups and plates. The only thing we couldn't find was a pair of scissors. We didn’t really use the oven or stove, but the microwave came in handy. There’s a big fridge/freezer that was perfect for keeping our drinks and food cold, and the mini bar items in the fridge were priced pretty reasonably. On the other side of the pool, there were two large bedrooms with a shared 'jack and jill' bathroom in between, which was just perfect for the kids since they had their own space. In the middle of the villa, there’s a nice pool with easy step access and a covered seating area with fans to help keep you cool. The fans even helped keep the mosquitoes away. There were a few tiny ants around, but they were really small and didn’t bother us at all. The villa was cleaned every three days, and included changing the bed sheets and towels, which was great. They provided us with eight pool towels, super handy for our daily swims! Now, about the location - it's in the best spot, just a 2-minute walk from the main Fisherman's Village walking street. If you turn right out of the village and take a left down a little track, you can get into Fisherman's Village that way too! There are a few bars and restaurants on this street that are easy to miss if you don't know about them.

Kitchen would benefit from having some scissors. The drain in the bathroom could sometimes smell, but fine once the water started running.

The resort is nice and welcoming for children, with 2 pools, a sandbox, a play space with a babysitter, and more. The manager and the staff are so nice and helpful with every little request. There is a resort loving cat, Zoey, a calm dog, and even a turtle. The 3 bedroom villa is beautiful and the pool is great, clean and beautiful. It is important to take into consideration, though, that it is actually 2 different small houses - one with a bedroom, kitchen and living room, and the other with 2 bedrooms connected with the shower. The private pool is between the houses, so there needs to be a lot of attention in case you have young kids. The location is great, 5 minutes to bophut fishemans village.

There is no parking

For a family with children, this accommodation is paradise - a large indoor playroom with a restaurant, 2 swimming pools, an outdoor playground, a small enclosure with hedgehogs and turtles, toys available for borrowing everywhere and strollers available to borrow (which came in very handy for us in the evening when our younger son was tired and we didn't have to carry him). All the staff were lovely, the apartment was nice and clean, and overall we all really enjoyed our stay here. Above all, the proximity to Fisherman's Village and our beloved CoCo Tam's was amazing.

If I have to say something.... Waiting for food in the restaurant was often longer, but since the children were happily playing, it wasn't a big problem at all. Restaurant was closed in the evening, children were often sad, that they could not play there after the day-trip. There were quite a lot ants in the apartment, but nothing that would surprise us in Asia ;). The apartment keys were terribly large and bulky.

Nicely sized rooms, pool right outside. Breakfast area right next to the kids club. Super friendly staff. We will return to this very nice and cute resort.

The entire street had a powerout, all the facilities including shower, sinks and toilets were also down due to the use of electrical pumps. We just landed after a long flight with young kids and could not shower or use our toilet, and did not have any backup light except our flashlight. This is not the hotel's fault at all but it ruined our first night. After a few hours electricity was back on (we were already asleep), air-con and everything worked great. In the morning we enjoyed our stay very much! We will return!

We loved Maya, it felt like a second home , every single member of staff were an absolute delight. Genuinely wonderful staff , they are the heart of the resort. We miss them already! Maya has a Wonderful kids area with sweet fun staff, so much for your kids to explore around the resorts it even has a bikes and a sand area with a tree house! Rooms were clean, one of our air cons needed an extra clean , when we told the front of house they straight away arranged for it to be cleaned the same day, ( thank you Aunj) we really appreciate the efficiency and the genuine care they have for their visitors. The location is fantastic , me and my husband took it in turns to get a massage as it was only 5 minutes away. Food was great, they were so accommodating , we are honestly so grateful for this as my son is a really picky eater and they were always able to accommodate a HUGE THANK YOU.

We had the 3 bedroom village and it was fantastic. Rooms big , clean , Netflix ect The man in reception uncon -sorry if I’ve got that wrong , was so lovely and really helpful. Our room was ready for our arrival and he accommodated at late check out for us. Super happy guy. He also arranged pick up from the pier for us. Location across from fisherman’s village and 7-11 perfect . Thank you.

The price of the restaurant is very overpriced. It’s basic food but double or triple the the Price and it’s inside a kids soft play area , no other restaurant. Mini bar was again triple the price . There is a 7-11 across the street so perfect .

The kids club was great and the location was good. We liked the facet that we have mini kitchen so we can have our baby eat at the room

The beds wasn't comfortable at all and the acoustic was horrible, it was a party Sunday night that we couldn't sleep and it was two babies on the rooms next door that we could hear all night.. The next day Silvia the owner upgraded us to a room by itself and it was much better

Very good playground for kids, lots of toys, kid friendly environment, the room had facilities for kids (baby bath etc.). Full time nanny in the playroom was very friendly with kids. Big 7Eleven just across the street.

The pool is very small and there is no kiddy pool. When we reserved the room, we got a deal for 10% off all food and drinks and we had to argue with staff to give us a discount every time. When they cleaned the room, the sheets (and all the room) smelled really strongly of cleaning products, our baby (and us also) barely slept that night.

Very family friendly resort. I'd recommend for families with kids under 8 though. The staff are so very helpful and breakfast is basic but nice. They have two trampolines. One which has some holes in broken springs, so for younger children wouldn't recommend. Good walking distance to the market and shops etc.

The pool is pretty small, and is great for the small kids, but if you want to do swimming yourself there are no options. We stayed in the unit with one separate bedroom and another queen sized bed in the living room which was great. Just FYI the bed in the living room is a sofa bed that has been converted so may not be as comfortable as a real bed. The actual room itself was very basic, with some finishings not complete from the build - but it did not deter from the usage.
