small family owned resort right on beach. You can take your towel and sit at the water. We ordered snacks and beer from the bar (closes at 5). Our bungalow was spotless, the aircon worked great, and it was serveiced daily. During the rain we could sit on the front deck and enjoy.... we rented scooters at a reasonable price direct from the resort. 200baht/day. This enabled us to explore the entire island at our leisure. Everyone had a smile for us and I have no complaints

I would say that the breakfast lacked inspiration. We only ate there once and quickly realized that there were many better offers around the island.

We looooved this place! The location is heaven. Being able to walk out of your room & be seconds away from a beautiful beach was a dream. We left Phangan to come back here. The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless (we ended up in 2 different types and both were great). Massages were great, breakfast simple, tasty & fresh. Staff were all wonderful. Just up the road is a 7 eleven, delicious restaurant (silver spoon) and money exchange (although not the best rate) If I ever come back to Koh Samui I would without a doubt book another stay at this idyllic resort!

Pool has quite a lot of chlorine so take off your jewellery & tie your hair up!

Great rooms (we had superior double) very large comfortable bed and nice patio. 2 min walk to beautiful quiet beach, nice clean white sand and very shallow clean ocean which you can snorkel in. There are some small rocks to walk over but there are a few places to the right where it's sandy. Didn't seem to have on site restaurant but plenty on beach and on road. We ate at the Silver spoon which offered a great menu but found a great Mexican place which served delicious food and very good prices, think it's called Tips Tacos. Would recommend this place and avoid the Bophut area, which we had to leave due to the polluted sea. But silver beach was so much better.

Food prices are a little high along the beach but you do get a nice view but can find cheaper great food along the main road.

Perfect beachfront getaway, lovely staff, lush pool, cute restaurant right on the waterfront which serves lovely fruit shakes. Room was very spacious with a cute balcony. Resort is close to 7/11 and a handful of other restaurants but is generally further away (~30 min walk) from the main Lamai hub.

Beach did get quite crowded in the afternoon (because it is so beautiful). Bit of a smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. Outsourced laundry service shrunk some of our clothes.

Elly at the reception is helpful and does her best to make the guests feel happy always! I have arrived with an evening flight the check in was smooth. I have informed through Booking the resort. Although they did not reply they have waited me. Position is amazing át Silver beach. Tuk tuk or taxi to Chaweng Lamai Bophut are available on the street. Vikasa Yoga is walking distance. Beach restaurant us good too. Waiters are friendly. I hope to return!

I read the commento about cleaning. Well it’s Thailand small tips can resolve the towel and bed sheet problems.

We got super lucky as our Bungalow was right next to the beach. No matter where one stay’s they will be walking distance from the beach. Just something to take note of: when swimming, swim on the left side as the right side is rocky. The room is big, comfortable and really clean. There is a balcony which is really nice to chill on and have a drink or two. Everyone is really friendly and helpful here. To rent a scooter it is 200 baht a day and you pay in cash when you check out.

Amazing location, moments from a 7/11 and beachfront! Rooms were spacious and bathroom was large and clean. Regularly cleaned rooms and provided water, fresh linens, and had very lovely and helpful staff. Room was very clean. Provided beach towels. Had a restaurant and the pool was very clean. Gorgeous beach (one of the best!). They do daily maintenance on the property (ie; trimming hedges, gardening, washing walkways).

Some linens were lightly stained.

Thongtakian resort is an amazing location for budget friendly users and in one of the best beaches on Koh Samui. The property is quite basic and old especially the beach bungalows however it’s perfect for the price and location. The staff is really friendly and the beach bar is cute for a coffee or juice by the ocean.

The property is a little outdated as mentioned. It also doesn’t provide scooter service and no room service or any kind of service during the evening. The last order for the beach bar is 7:30 pm which is quite early.

EVERYTHING! It was the most beautiful stay we had in Thailand. We had the bungalow with sea view and it was literally 10 meters from the beach. We couldn’t be more happy when we got there and saw the place. We spent 5 nights (we couldn’t book for 7) and it was just perfect. Would spend 15 more days if possible. Staff is great, rooms are super comfortable and clean. You get water and room service everyday. 7 eleven is one block from the hotel and you also have great restaurants options next to it. The pool is great as well, we used it every day in the afternoons. You can also rent scooters. We did it one day but the rest of the days we just stayed in Crystal Beach that is the most beautiful one in the island. We were so sad we had to leave. Would recommend 100%.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. We discovered it during a beach visit in our first week and were lucky to book it for our second week on the island. It’s literally right on the beach—perfect for enjoying every moment of your stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful, assisting us with laundry and a late check-out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's even a shower you can use after coming back from the pool or beach.
