The hotel was so close to the sea it was lapping the restaurant floor Our room had stupendous views and very roomy and comfortable The staff bent over backwards to help The gardeners took great care of the establishment

Considering we booked in July, and asked for ground floor because we are 73 and have difficulty climbing steps( sent message through booking.com) we were told they only had second floor left, also all sun loungers were occupied by towels, every morning even at 7.45am even though the people were not around, out of 9 days we only managed one day, the alternative was a bean bag, sorry we are 73, and can’t manage that

The most amazing sea view from the room, great balcony with comfy chairs, clean. The area is quiet. You can rent a bike from the hotel.

There is no real beach and this area is not swimmable, so you kinda need chairs at the pool if you wanna chill around, which is nearly impossible because guests „reserve“ the pool chairs very early in the morning by throwing towels on them, and during the day some of them are gone for hours but leave the chairs occupied. The hotel should act on this and put up the sign or something. Breakfast is a bit pricey. Otherwise all perfect.

Our view and room were breathtaking. The biggest and nicest room we stayed in during our 3 week trip across 2 countries. Lovely property with a nice beach front pool.

You’re at the tip of Lamai area here, which meant a 10-15 min Uber to get to actual Lamai beach that was over 30 walking distance if that’s what you’re looking for. The beach is also not one you can swim in, as it’s too shallow for 1km or so. If swimming in the ocean is important to you, staying more central in Lamai may be better.

I stayed in the front villa (room 42) overlooking the pool and beach. Absolutely loved it - great value for money! The room was clean and the pillows were fabulous. Bed is not as hard as most Thai hotels but still very firm! The staff were lovely too - it’s always difficult to communicate when English is not their main language but they were helpful wherever they could such as taking my luggage to and from the room.

There were small ants but they didn’t bother me, nothing out of the ordinary for Koh Samui - it’s an island!

The sea view from room is beautiful, more so at high tide. The rooms are large and have sofa and dining table. Reception staff very helpful. Pool lovely but could have a few more shade covers. Restaurant serves tasty, reasonably priced meals and fruit drinks from 1pm. Free use of kayaks. Good price for these facilities and service.

Many people have mentioned the distance but relative quiet of the hotel location. I agree it’s not bad because it’s so quiet and chilled there. But what should be mentioned is the sea water level. It never gets deeper than 1m and at low tide it is a mudflat. I wasn’t expecting that so was disappointed. Main Lamai beach and Chaweng beach are regular depth, going above one’s shoulders within a few steps. So if you want to swim in ocean, stay at those bigger beaches.

The ocean splashes onto the steps of the restaurant. They make the best garlic shrimps on request. They have the friendliest staff of all our hotels in Thailand (we stayed in 7 hotels). The bathrooms are newly tiled and modern. They have a nice spa and reception orders taxis and trips on your demand. The aircons functioned well. The rooms were extremely tidy and clean. Private beach is quiet and the ocean water is very warm, bordering on hot springs.

the steps to the beach need a railing. With all the rain they become dangerously slippery. Need smart TVs in the rooms. They dont have a lift.

We had a fantastic week working remotely from Koh Samui, and Palm Coco Mantra turned out to be a great choice. The value for money is excellent: spacious rooms, big terrace, and staff that seemed to care about our wellbeing. The internet was super fast—essential for us—and the breakfast buffet, while modest, had good variety. Special requests were easily accommodated (thank you for the unlimited tuna sandwiches!). The pool was never crowded, and being open until 10PM was a bonus. I loved the location. Quiet and away at the end of Lamai, right near the Banyan Tree, which says a lot about the quality of the area. The beach directly in front isn’t ideal for swimming due to low tides, but you can walk along the shore—either to Lamai in 30 minutes or all the way to the rock formations in about an hour. The kitchen cooks fresh to order until 10PM, and the smoothie selection is fantastic. We practically lived on them! For a more private stay, the property also has villas, and they are cheap. Overall, this hotel offered the best mix of space, reliable internet, quiet location, and good pricing in Lamai for us. A bike rental would be helpful if you’re not working full-time as we were—it’s the easiest and cheapest way to get around.

1/ A real coffee machine would be amazing—many of us like proper coffee during the day, not just the instant one in the room. 2/ Smoking spots near the rooms weren’t ideal. Ours was close to one, and when someone smoked weed, the smell got into our room. Please keep those areas a bit further away. Maybe downstairs only?

The staffs! The front office to housekeeping to the cooks. All the staffs were super lovely and very kind. The front office ladies were all so sweet and super helpful. They were always so keen to help us and made sure we had a good time. They went out of their ways to make sure. Location is little but tucked away and in a very quiet street and have access to the beach. It is also very well maintained and the pool is super clean. We resented a scooter so travelling to the street for food and beach was of. I problems. The hotel also rents scooter out so super convenient. We felt like the staffs treated us like one of their own. Love Samui because of the hotel staff more than anything.

The location was perfect. Right across from the nicest beaches in the area and steps from the night market with lots of food and free entertainment. Pool area was very nice. Could use a few more loungers and umbrellas right next to the pool though. Breakfast was good. Staff went out of their way to provide me with secure WiFi that I needed for work.

There is no restaurant other than the breakfast buffet. There is no bar. The gym is in a glass "fishbowl" in the lobby, which made it too uncomfortable for me to use. The AC in our room was either very cold or very warm. The comfortable setting was elusive and it blew directly on our bed. Other than that, the room was comfortable and the balcony had a nice view of the ocean.

The hotel complex is a great place to relax in good weather. The balcony and loungers on the ground floor offer a fantastic view. This stretch of beach is only partially suitable for swimming at high tide (for a person 1.78 m tall). The pool is open until the evening. The breakfast is perfectly adequate and fresh. Lunch and dinner are delicious. The staff enjoy their work and are extremely courteous and friendly. The scooter rental was fair and everything was in order, even though they only accepted cash payments. P.S A small gecko lives on the top right balcony. His name is Godzilla and he's happy when the light comes on.

Carrying the garbage upstairs shouldn't be done by the service ladies; there is certainly another alternative.
