Nice little hotel on a hill side, all rooms have a sea view and a terrace, airco and a fan. The beach side pool and restaurant gave me an 80ties St Tropez vibe. The staff is very friendly and ready to help you out whenever they can be of assistance.

The hotel is located at the seaside at a hill with most rooms overlooking the ocean. It's very charming, quiet and has a lovely decoration. The rooms are nice and clean with minibar and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed and nice chairs on the balcony with great views. The garden is wonderful, and so is the pool area which is directly located at the ocean. Nice set up around the pool with loungers and umbrellas overlooking the pool and ocean, lovely music playing from the bar. Such a relaxing place. However, there is just a small beach that almost disappears at high tide. During low tide the water disappears completely. Therefore swimming in the ocean is not really possible. But we found a lovely beach just nearby: Crystal Beach. It's wonderful for sun bathing, swimming and great for snorkeling. It is recommendable to have a scooter or car to get around the area, you can also walk to some places along the beach or using the hilly road. The staff is overall very nice, especially the ladies at the reception counter. Only the staff in the bar/restaurant seemed quite unfriendly. Maybe it was only the language barrier but it is still a pity and did not motivate us to have our meals in the hotel.

A little away from the bustle of central island, Cinnamon Beach Villa is a perfect place if you like to stay in a quiet place. We wanted a chilled vacation and this is exactly what we've got making our stay a lovely one; we didn't mind that the hotel is isolated, at least a twenty minute walk to the main road where there are restaurants and stores. The staff is very friendly but at times it was hard to communicate with them in English; our favorites was Mee, she was always smiling, eager to help, we absolutely loved her, from the day she greeted us until our last day at the resort. The view from the room is absolutely amazing; we booked the penthouse on the last floor and it was pure pleasure to wake up in the morning, see the sea but also hear the birds chirping.

In terms of breakfast, I prefer the buffet type of breakfast- here it comes with the room and you have to choose one from the set menu. We had some arguments with someone in the staff- from her involvement in everything and her bossiness she must have been the manager: although she was present when we checked in, moreover, she was the one to tell us, if we want to book any trip, we will have a 10% discount from the villa- when we decided on a trip, she said there is no such thing, she never said that. She was also the one to give us a price today, and tomorrow, for the same service, charge us differently (her memory really doesn't serve her well).

It was lovely and relaxing - rooms were clean and large we had a lot of space.

There were over 40 steps down to the pool And restaurant that were not mentioned on the booking page. It’s fine if you don’t have problem walking or with steps but a bit more difficult for elderly people. This should have been included in the description. They also include a service chart for all food and beverages which is unusual for Thailand as most people tip in any case.

We spent 12 days in a Superior Deluxe room at Cinnamon Hotel and absolutely enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, clean, and free from any unpleasant odors. The air conditioning worked perfectly—silent and effective. The highlight was the million-dollar view from the balcony, which made our mornings and evenings unforgettable. The staff were amazing, especially the women at reception who always went above and beyond to help us arrange taxis or rent a bike. The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight, offering delicious food with the convenience of room delivery. The pool was lovely, clean, and well-maintained, providing a perfect spot to relax. The location is another advantage—quiet and peaceful since it’s not on the main road, yet only a 3–5 minute ride to Lamai. After our initial stay, we extended for two more days but had to move to a Deluxe room, where the experience wasn’t as good. The air conditioning was noisy and ineffective, the room had a slight odor, and it was noticeably smaller. Despite this, our overall experience was fantastic. If we return, we’ll definitely choose the Superior Deluxe again. Cinnamon Hotel is a great choice for those looking for comfort, excellent service, and a peaceful environment near Lamai.

The rooms were great, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Food and restaurant were okay.

Location is isolated and the beach is not ideal, as swimming is not possible at this location

This hotel is a hidden gem. A little bit of a walk (15 minutes) from the main area of Lamia (where shops like 7 Eleven, Pharmacy, Muay Thai gym etc are) but next time we will hire a motorbike (as we now know our way around) as roads are safe and people are very respectful and this would of made a difference for us. But, I would book here again in a heart beat. The place is just magical. We had a beach villa and it came with our own bath and outside shower. Beds were really comfortable, hard but that is expected in Thailand. 4 bottles of water a day, tea, coffee and infusions. Good small fridge that kept our sons insulin cool and small freezer incorporated for ice packs (for when we travelled from island to island to keep insulin cool). Clean linen and beds. Lovely smelling body wash and hair shampoo!! Drying rack for drying clothes. Absolutely gorgeous terraces/ outside area where you can enjoy the views and listen to the birds. Breakfasts were to die for (this was included in our stay and served from 8-10.30am and you have 8 different choices of breakfast to order) apart from croissants, toast, traditional pancakes, fruit, tea, coffee, ovaltine and fruit juices! Presentation, taste and service, always with a smile. They offer a happy our on drinks from 4-9pm. Buy one drink, get another free. Strawberry daiquiri was delicious. We had dinner at the on site restaurant the day we arrived from our long flight. We paid £60 (2,400 TBHs) for fresh Margarita pizza, lemon grass soup, fresh burger with crinkly chips & coleslaw, chicken satay with salad, x1 spring rolls, x1 chicken pad-thai, x1 pineapple milkshake, x1 chang beer, x2 coke zeros & x1 orange fanta. Not badly priced for quantity of food at the hotel compared to prices back at home, however on the more expensive side for Thailand prices, however the quality was fantastic and the convenience of eating at the resort was welcomed. The pool was fabulous and clean. Right next to the beach.

if you're looking for quiet and relaxation, this is the perfect resort for you. The rooms are as described, the pool is small but very adequate for the number of guests. if you rent a motorbike (300 baht a day) you have the freedom to travel and check out the other resorts. It's worth noting, if you need coffee to start your day off, they only offer instant coffee, although if you pay more you can get a 'machine made' coffee, but even that is not great. The staff are lovely. The beach is not great for walking, bring your beach shoes, but there are gorgeous beaches nearby. There was one day there weren't enough lounge chairs for all the guests, but its not a big deal. It is a charming resort. Yes, the pool and restaurant are beach level and there are stairs. but the stairs are not treacherous. Staff are friendly and at times apologetic for hidden costs. Remarkably few creepie crawlies and mossies, but there is bug spray handy. Wifi is a bit iffy but i would imagine that's an island issue, not the resort's. Hot water is a bit hit and miss as well. You dont really swim in the ocean tide is pulled way back but you can walk to the rocks and get great pictures. We had a great stay.

The fitness room consists of a boxing/punching bag (but no gloves), ropes, small handweights and that's it. The lack of coffee was unfortunate as well.

For me, this place was a hidden gem. Im at the age where Im inbetween needing a little something to do, but relax in the peace and quiet of a nice setting in the evening - it nailed it. Its right on the beachfront and only a 25 minute walk into the local town. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained, and I thoroughly enjoyed having a daily breakfast right on the beachfront. The staff were excellent and helpful, and arranged quite easily the trips I wanted booked. The room was large and had character with traditional solid wood furniture and provided an excellent view of the bay, I was lucky enough to have a couple of small lizards and a preying Mantis come and sit with me on the balcony for a while - awesome !! The restaurant menu was a variety of Thai and international cuisine whilst also carrying a well stocked bar Loved this hotel, already considering coming back soon :-)

The view over the bay was exceptional and eating our meals next to the ocean was very relaxing. I loved the room we had, the pool area was great with plenty of places to sit/lie back and relax and the staff were super kind, friendly and very helpful. We were provided with free bottled water every day in addition to our regular room supplies.

I didn't like that there weren't any screens on the door for the mosquitos or a mosquito net for the bed, so we used air conditioning more than we wanted to. It's not suitable for anyone with severe health issues as the steps to climb to the pool and restaurant are steep
