Breakfast included w/stay, it was excellent Short walk from the resort to snorkeling off the beach There are 3 other resorts on the beach but it was not crowded. There is a large rock with a rope to climb up from where you can jump into the ocean

Fantastic location Food was better than expected

Pool was always used by divers with little opportunity for use. Not setup to use pool with sun beds.

The Hotel is situated in Tonote bay that has its own house reef and Buddha view Diving centre which is a 5 star Padi Idc centre. the location is quiet and away from every one else but only 8 mi uses away from town on a scooter. The restaurant was ok and the staff every where we're kind and helpful l.

There is currently renovation working going on but nothing to interrupt your stay. my biggest problem was the power sockets in the room that either worked but your adapter falls out or didn't work at all. reason for giving a 9 instead of 10.

Good location and probably the best bay in Koh Tao. Good snorkeling! The staff is great and very polite. If I go to Koh Tao again I will chose the same hotel but differ t room.

I did not liked the shared bathroom at the standard Bungalow. I did not realize that the bungalow I booked it has a shared bathroom! I also did not liked the missing place to store closes.

The location next to the bay is excellent if you want a quiet beach with some good snorkeling. We had one of the hilltop cottages with outside bathtub which was excellent with a lovely view. Our son stayed I’m one of the rooms which are also nice and spacious but just don’t have the same nice view. The beach is very clean and staff are attentive and make sure there is no rubbish lying around.

The cleaning of the rooms could have been better, they didn’t wipe the floor during our stay which would have been nice given that you can’t avoid bringing sand into the room. Food is good but the choice could be extended, in particular if you stay longer.

Location is great of course, right by a top snorkeling beach. Nice pool, ok restaurant. Diving school right next door. We had a superior room with AC, it was comfortable, rather new bathroom. Everything was very clean. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Leave a tip!

A bathrobe would have been nice, most 3 star hotels we went to had this. Be aware that the location is quite remote, you need a taxi/scooter to everything else you might want. We liked the quiet though. We were there over New Years, so the price was very high, even for the location and standard. But I guess that's the way it is in high season. Restaurant prices were also quite high, the restaurant next door on the beach was decently priced.

Great beach location where you can snorkel. Great size rooms with comfy bed. Staff really helpful and friendly

Felt trapped if you don’t hire motorbike

Stayed in a bungalow with a large comfortable bed and pillows. The room was serviced dạily to an excellent standard. The staff were all excellent assisting with all requirements during our 7 night stay. Nice swimming pool and gardens.and excellent snorkeling straight out the front of resort. Went fishing and the kitchen cooked fish caught 3 different ways,feeding a group of 10 for a reasonable price. Other meals we had at the resort were also excellent. Picked up from the ferry and dropped off to the ferry which was free of charge. Would not hesitate staying at Lub D again.

The only thing is the property is about 15 minutes from the main tourist area where the majority of restaurants and convenient stores are,on quite a windy road. We hired a motorbike so wasn’t a problem for us, but could be expensive if you were to use taxis 200 to 500 baht per trip.

Everything. The location, staff, accommodation, beach bar, food. All great. The proximity to the Buddha View Dive resort made organising dives really straight forward. The restaurant worker Kiat deserves a special mention. He went out of his way to learn our names and was always so helpful, kind and took time to talk to us. The food is a little expensive but really tasty. The all day breakfast is such a brilliant idea as we did quite a lot of diving and didn’t want to eat until we returned from an early dive. We had breakfast included in our room rate so that was still able to be used at any time in the day. The rooms are beautiful, huge bed, spacious room and hot shower with good power. Nice bungalows and so well built into the hill in amongst the trees.

The beach could do with more sunbeds and parasols. We asked about this and were told they had blown away in a storm - so that can’t be helped. Apart from that, nothing!

What an amazing spot, Tanote Bay is so special. I visited Tanote Bay 2 years ago and on my return to Koh Tao, was ecstatic to see that more accommodation had opened up at Tanote Bay. Montalay is an amazing resort with very friendly and helpful staff.

Everything was just awesome.
