Good location, near enough to busy touristy area , but still peaceful as not in the chaos. Clean, great rooms, strong shower, strong AC. Look like there is parking although didn't need to use it. Cheap delicious food from food stalls in front of the property that you can eat in the homestay's dining area. Wildlife in the gardens, occasional monitor lizard, different types of fish and frogs in the ponds in front of the bungalows/rooms. Room was well insulated to keep bugs out and only in the gardens. Mango trees in the gardens. Good price. More than a 2 star, even though it's advertised as 2 star. Trips such as island tours can be organized by the hotel, although you can get slightly cheaper if you shop around yourself but not a big difference. WiFi was ok, intermittently strong and then weak. Perhaps not suitable for people who work online, digital nomads. Our unit was far from a smelly river that runs along the side of the property. I suppose would not be ideal if your unit was near the smelly river. Stagnant water, not the property's fault. Would have given Krabi Forest Homestay 10/10 had it not been for the lady who drove us to our room who could not manage even a quarter smile. So important when in the hospitality industry. She seemed to know her work in terms of showing the room but just couldn't smile. Surprising in the land of smiles. Also asked her about fish on the property because we saw photos from previous guests online but she seemed surprised at the question, and I eventually just gave up asking and explaining that I saw fish in reviews. There were actually loads of fish in the various interleaving ponds on the property. Goes to show, a potential 10/10 review turned into 8/10 because of one staff member who couldn't do the basic thing in hospitality, smile and communicate effectively.

Breakfast served à la carte, with a limited selection but tasty. The facility is located nearby the main street, but it was quiet and peaceful. The room was small but sufficient. Helpful and nice staff. Good value for money.

We had to wait for breakfast so come for breakfast earlier if you are in a hurry. You can hear voices through the wall, someone talking loudly or a baby crying.

Spacious, clean and comfortable chalet, wide double bed, spacious bathroom. Big fridge provided, not a mini bar. Good lighting: room could be brightly lit if it's one's preference. 2 chairs and a table outside to lounge about if desired. For the price asked for, it's a bargain. Only thing to fault is the underwhelming shower pressure, a pump should fix it marvelously. Good location off the main Ao Nang road, quietude assured. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Even has a massage place 250 THB for a ½ hour.

Nothing I could think of. Some guests said the reception area was cluttered and unsightly but I wasn't bothered by it.

The location is the highlight of it, 5 min walk from aonang and krabi market . Aonang Beach is also 5 walk, and the boats to Railay beach are just across the road. There is also a 7/11 2 mins aways from the hotel. The staff was very helpful, they helped book a day trip and the bus for the airport. The room was very spacious and clean, and the staff tidied the room every day. There was enough space for my stuff . And there was a big fridge in the room too. The Terasse was nice, but I did spend much time in it . And it was really calm at night, so that's a big plus.

No mirror in the room, only the one in the bathroom.

Great location, quiet and wonderful staff.

We got one of the non-updated suites. Which had it's pros and cons. Loved that it was it's own detached hut, beds were comfortable, a/c worked great, water was hot. Had a safe, water boiler and fridge. Was cleaned daily and we enjoyed the porch sitting area. The wood trunk decor made some of the shelves not very functional. And some of the stone work was a bit bumpy. But I'm sure they have plans to update it when they can, so it wasn't much of a bother. The staff was always checking to make sure we were comfortable. They even gave us free massages, not sure why but not complaining!

We are staying a couple plus a friend in two bungalows for 12 nights. Great location, close to center, beaches, night market but very quiet. It’s a treasure island in the middle of a vivid part of the settlement. We did not want to stay in a hotel but were looking for more authentic place with bungalows, this place is a very good value for money. It’s as if we stayed in a small jungle not a city, nice garden, ponds with fish. Staff is very nice, helpful. We did not book with breakfast as did not want to lock ourselves to a hotel. It’s not a high-end posh, fancy place but a neat, clean, nice place with nice staff. Wifi is also spotless.

Low water pressure but it is common as far as I understood. It is only a little bit inconvinient to wash my long hair but not a dealbreaker.

Location was brilliant, bang in the middle between Ao Nang beach front and promenade and Ao Nang night market. It was approx 10 mins walk to each destination. The staff were AMAZING!! Super friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of tips and advice. The hotel doesn’t have a pool but the staff called local hotels to ask if we can use their pool. So, we got in to another hotel’s pool ( about 15 mins walk) for 50thb each for the whole day- bargain!

Simply amazing. The staff is super nice and available. They have activities and tours, and set up everything for you (with discount). Extremely efficient and always available and happy to make your stay unforgettable. The position is super good, at 10 mins walking to Ao Nang beach and on the main street. However, the bungalows are into a small forest and the rooms are super quiet. Seems like being into a jungle. They clean the room everyday - not such a common thing in Thailand if you pay 25€ per day/double room. Thank you Krabi Forest Homestay, we spent such a great time with you!!

Nothing. Everything was perfect. The only thing I would like to suggest is putting a mosquito net over the beds. Since you are surrounded by trees, it is impossible to avoid mosquitoes entering the room when you open the door.

Wonderful peaceful location close to everything, food, excursions, motorbike rentals, night market, massage.. the offered us complimentary breakfast and a complimentary massage, plus a sizeable discount on the price of excursion. Room was comfortable e very large, new water bottles are provided each day. Breakfast a la carte is not fancy but has several options, both Thai and more Western, sweet and savory.

The bathroom is not entirely separated from the room as the wall doesn’t reach the ceiling. Consider if you’re at ease with this, depending on whom you’re sharing the room with. The lack of a swimming pool didn’t bother us and beach is really nearby, but some may find it a limitation.

The bungalows are set into a garden, with lots of fruit trees and regular plants. I was at 22; and it was pretty quiet. 2 mins walk to the front lobby, lots of restaurants, stores, and the beach is 10 mins away. Very convenient and lots of boats to take u to the other islands. I will definitely be back, highly recommended.

We get 2 bottles water everyday, even though I asked for them to drop it off in the mornings, most times they don’t until after 3:00pm. I make my coffee in the mornings, so I need my water.
