I got the top room #6, very large 40+ sm, the thick mattress is a bit harder, which I like. Best internet connection I've had in town so far! I left my room every day between 11am an 2:30 pm. Each time I came back (even after just 2 hours) the staff was already done cleaning my room. A key sensor gives you 24/7 access to the building, the restaurant closes around 11pm.

So, you have to realize a guest house is not a hotel! Here are some points others might not like: The interior, furniture, bath room etc. - not fancy, but more basic. No lift, you need to walk up the stairs. No pool, no gym, no common rooms. No garage for cars or motorbikes (I had to shift around a bit, but could park my bike at the spot every night). If you can live without those amenities, go save yourself some serious money!

This was my first time staying at Hideaway. It's conveniently located near to lots of bars and restaurants on Soi Buakhao. It also has it's own restaurant/bar which provides excellent food at affordable rates. I ate either breakfast or dinner there most days during my stay. The staff are very friendly, and the owner, Andy, is a very helpful, customer-orientated guy. My room was large with a comfy bed and a modern TV with loads of cable channels. The room was cleaned regularly and to a very high standard. Hideaway provides excellent value for money. I would definitely stay there again.

I have always stayed around this area before and often had breakfast at the Hideway. It always felt very relaxed. Access to my room was good even when the restuarant was closed. The room was very spacious and always clean and tidy. Staff here are always welcoming and friendly. The price for my room was very competitive. You are not far from all the local bars and club areas but this is not a noisy area.

Be aware that there is no lift at this property.

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse, Andy the owner is very helpful and always says hello and makes you feel at ease. Room was amazing. Really big with lots of great additions like a British extension lead, kettle with coffee etc, good TV channels, decent balcony, comfy bed, 2 beach towels, big safe, large wardrobes with hangers! Location was great, right in the heart of it all. Bit noisy from bars below but I came home once they all closed so it was fine!!! Nice restaurant/bar as part of the hotel with great menu and service. Staff were great and Andy the owner was always on hand if there was any issues and even gave his number. Deffo my number one destination in future in Pattaya.

Friendly staff. Good size room with electric kettle tea and coffee water and good sized fridge. Bathroom is supplied with soap and shampoo. Tv comes with cable and a good variety of channels. Restaurant/Bar on premises serving a good variety of food and drinks with excellent service. Well located near soi Buakao with a fairly easy walk to Pattaya second rd. Easy entrance after hours when the bar/restaurant is closed.

The shower is more Thai style wet bathroom and fairly basic although there is a shower curtain that keeps some of the water from the bathroom floor.

I had a excellent stay here. All basic things were good and the location is perfect. I recommend this place and will return for sure when I'm back in Pattaya.

I have stayed at the Hideaway a few times. It is in a great location right in the middle of the city. The rooms are large and well equipped with everything that a solo traveler needs. The staff are very helpful. I particularly like the fact that the room gets made up when you ask for this to be done, and almost immediately.

The room is well sound-proofed and noise is not an issue on normal days. However, there are ocassionally big, very loud parties at the nearby bars. When this happens, sound filters in. This happened once in the five days that I was there. However, these are generally over by 1 AM

Property is great if you are looking for an independent stay. The rooms are big, really big! Also Andy is really amiable!

Only con may be for the guests who aren’t fond of the staircases because this property doesn’t have a lift.
