We really really really loved staying at Nana and Brian’s! the place is amazing, magical, one of a kind. The garden by itself, rich, curated and full of beautiful plants and flowers would be enough to make your jaw drop, especially in the afternoon when you can chill in the shade sipping on a cold drink. We also had a chance to visit all the rooms that are huge and homey ( more like small houses) , and noticed how all of them have a customised decor, and how all of them received a special touch from the owners - who are the real specialty of Cattani’s Home! thanks to them, you really feel at home and your stay at theirs is going to be a vacation with friends. ( ps: Nana’s cooking is the best! the most delicious home made food we ever had in Thailand )

To stay here is a privilege. The secret is in its name - the Cattani family’s HOME on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. It is not a “hotel”; it does not have “staff”; of course it is “clean”. It’s a real home where the charming, interesting, caring family live, and you are invited to share it with them. Set in a landscaped Japanese garden designed by Brian, the Riverside villa is a perfect creation of a Japanese home, full of original art and artefacts, beautifully appointed, and entirely private. Nanna manages everything and creates delicious dishes- there’s no “menu”- you are just enjoying the food which she loves to make for you. A couple of shy dogs have wheedled their way into the family, which includes Jonah, one of Nanna and Brian’s sons, who so charmingly and discreetly keeps his eye on everything. The hospitality of Nan has been fantastic. I had the feeling of being at home. The accommodation is cute, and the garden is really beautiful. The resort has direct access to the river. Nan arranged for me a great trip around Ayutthaya by boat, on my first day, and a Tuk Tuk to go visit the historical sites on my second day. I strongly raccomand this place because the owner makes the difference.

It is difficult to find something I didn't like. But if I have to say something, I would like to suggest changing the lamps in the room. From cold light to warm light. A so nice room deserves a romantic illumination rather than a lab one.

We had such a lovely time at Cattani’s. You should stay here too. The location, the home-like vibe, the Cattani family and the food; a perfect combination! Spacious rooms, set in a beautiful, peaceful garden. Next to the river and a Wat. With superfriendly owners and staff. We enjoyed everything: the talks and laughs with Nana and Brian, the super tasty food (breakfast, lunch and dinners!), all the useful info and the provided tuktuk- and boattours. Brian played the guitar the last night, which was great! Last but not least: suited for children. Everybody was so kind to our daughter of 1,5 years old.

Staying at Cattani's Riverside Home was an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by nature, the lush garden is home to a wide variety of plants, creating small peaceful corners where you can truly relax. The rooms are warm and welcoming, offering the comfort and coziness of being at home. What truly sets this place apart, though, is Nana’s incredible hospitality. She is a remarkable woman, full of insight and vision, embodying the generous and kind spirit of the Thai people. From shopping at the local market to preparing dinner herself, every meal was a delight—especially her handmade desserts, which were a real treat. The location is ideal for those seeking tranquility. It’s just the right distance from the bustling center, with a nearby park perfect for exploring by bike. The archaeological park, a must-see, is only 20 minutes away. Cattani River offers not just a stay, but an experience. Highly recommended!

Although not too far away from the archeological site, it’s best to arrange your transport to and from the property in advance, as taxis can be hard to find in the area.

The hosts Nanna and Brian are kind, welcoming and generous people. Our first night there Nanna cooked us an amazing meal for free to welcome us to her home. The guest house we stayed in was clean, comfortable, well appointed and the Japanese theme was beautiful. The garden - grounds that have a security wall and border the river are beautifully serene and calming, I enjoyed my morning coffees in this amazing setting. Nana and Brian were also extremely helpful in guiding us on places to see in this incedible city, and provided contacts to organize our itenerary and complete our holiday on Koh Lanta Island. I plan on spending future winters in Thailand and all holidays in this amazing country will include time at this beautiful guest house!

We were a family of 3 and stayed 2 nights at Cattani Riverside Home, though in all sense of the word it felt more like an intimate resort. There are 3 well appointed rooms set amidst a very lush and manicured garden, looking over the river. We had the Japanese themed room, the standard room and vey well put together. A lot of effort and details had gone into making the stay comfortable - from the fluffy towels, to the soft linens to the extremely comfortable bed that we didn't want to get out of. We had the best sleep. Nana and Bryan were just the perfect host, generous with their time, advise and even food. Nana couldn't stop trying to feed us.....We had Thai food in their restaurant on the first night, Needless to say the food was great. I saw the pork rib she put together for a huge crowd the following day and they looked amazing too.

Large comfortable chalet with all facilities in beautifully kept garden, next to the river, and very quiet except for the birds. Only 3 cabins altogether in the resort. The couple who own and run it were wonderful, and meals provided were excellent and good value. Could be used as a base to visit Ayutthaya but is 5 miles away.

Very little to see in immediate vicinity outside, though not a problem for us seeking calm and relaxation. We had already spent 5 nights in Ayutthaya city, sightseeing.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Villa was very clean, with beautiful japanese style, best-quality interior. The Owner Nana was very supportive and super friendly, while still repsecting our privacy. We felt the love the owners invested to create this awesome location. It was very relaxing to spent time in the evening on the quiet terrace with view on the river. Also the garden was very impressive with various exotic plants. Once we had a flat tire on our motorbike the owner directly jumped in and called a relative, who repaired our bike in 15minutes for a very very cheap and fair price. We definitely would spent another night here, when coming back to Ayutthaya. ♥♥♥♥♥

Cattani's Riverside Home is truly like a home away from home. Peaceful and beautifully landscaped grounds on the river, super comfy bed, AC blows very cold, neat eclectic collection display in my room, meals were homemade and delicious, but by far the most exceptional aspect of Cattani's is the host. I especially enjoyed morning talks over coffee with Naana. Naana and Brian both treat you like a returning friend. As a solo traveler doing a month-long trip all over Thailand, Cattani's was my favorite place to stay. I would return in a heartbeat.

Have nothing bad to say here! Only thing I can think to mention is that the location is away from town and "the sights" by maybe 10 or so minutes tuk-tuk drive. I personally liked this tucked away aspect and initially picked this place in part because of location. There's an ornate temple right next door as well as a park just across the street with a neat monument that I enjoyed walking. Even if you are the type to always be in the midst of town center, I would still highly recommend this place--more than worth the few minutes extra drive!
