The room was exceptional! I really loved the Plunge Pool Room because they were working on the other places in the resort so we were able to dip in the pool at the room. Keep in mind, housekeeping comes in the evening around 5 and not in the morning! Staff was really friendly and we got breakfast in the morning which was really convenient! I think the best part is that it’s literally a 2 min walk to the beach and a 20min drive to view the sites! (we had a rental)

Unfortunately, they were doing construction so we weren’t able to enjoy all of the resort!

The plunge pool that was part of our suite was often dirty, and we had to call reception to have the jets turned on which never happened no matter how many times we called. Very disappointing.

Loved everything about this place. Great value for money! We stayed here for 6 nights over the Songkran holiday period. The staff here were exceptional. This place is right across from the beach, the main pool is huge, they also sell have a fun kids pool with a little water slide. The breakfast buffet is lovely and fresh, great mix of tourists stay here. Feels like the perfect location at the Northern end of Karon, close enough walk to all the Karon restaurants but just out enough where it feels less busy. When we come to Phuket again we will definitely come to Karon beach and book Holiday Inn again!

We got the family room with the bunk bed for the kids. The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pools were amazing and the kids absolutely loved the slides. They couldn't get enough of it. We spent plenty of time lazing around the pools while sipping on a drink. The breakfast was simple yet filling. Overall I would come back to this hotel again! The staff is very welcoming and very helpful. We needed to get a PCR test to get back to Japan and upon inquiry, they promptly arranged for a nurse to come and get the tests in our room! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and we would definitely come back. TIPS:- While the food at the hotel is delicious, it is on the expensive side, hence if you are feeling a little adventurous I would definitely recommend a little gem of a restaurant we found 5 mins from the hotel. It's called Sabaijai.. their food is absolutely amazing and much cheaper than the hotel. Be however warned that it gets very busy and they take their time to prepare the food, which is well worth the wait. There are other restaurants nearby, however, I can't speak to them. The hotel will also arrange tours for you, but again, it comes at a much more expensive price than if you would walk to the tour agencies(~20 mins walk). I got the PhiPhi tour for more than half the price they were offering.

1. The bathroom had a see-through glass pane facing the bedroom. Since it is a family room, it's not really a great feature of the room! I would strongly recommend the hotel provide some kind of curtain for that glass pane. 2. Crossing the road to go to the beach is always an adventure. It would be great if the hotel would have someone help hotel guests cross the road. 3. I don't usually carry my credit card on me while I spend time at the pool, so I was surprised that the barmen asked me to pay for what I consumed on the spot as opposed to charging it to the room. I later learned that you need to leave a deposit if you want to charge your consumables to the room, which is unusual to me since this is normally blocked by hotels on the credit card you use when you check-in.

Staff The employees are courteous and competent. Location Karon beach is good for family tourists, clean, not noisy, shops and night market on weekend just 5 min walk from hotel, beach is less than 2 min on foot. Cleanliness Our room was cleaned every morning. Kids There is kids world club in the hotel where the staff take care kids, organize different programs with kids... movies in the evening so that my kids could watch movie outside of our hotel room while I was taking conference calls quietly( good internet speed ) After our staying in 5-star hotel in Patong beach, we prefer Karon beach and highly recommend this hotel Destination Resorts Phuket Karon Beach - SHA Extra Plus that will exceed your expectation and money worth. It will be your best choice in Phuket.

Prime location right across from Karon Beach. Relaxing environment, ideal for families with small children who want to avoid noisy areas. The kids' pool area was a highlight, though extending pool hours would be appreciated. The staff exhibited the typical Thai warmth and empathy, which we found very welcoming.

We were initially given the wrong room, which was quickly corrected, but after a long journey, it was a frustrating start. The room had a lingering odor, an issue mentioned in other reviews, yet seemingly unaddressed. The hotel’s decor felt outdated, with the building resembling a sterile, all-white government office. The translucent bathroom partition in a family room was uncomfortable; a motorized curtain option would improve privacy. Bed sheets and furniture had visible stains, and rust was present on bathroom fixtures. The breakfast menu was repetitive with no variation during our week-long stay. Poor drainage in the bathroom led to water spilling onto the floor. The absence of a balcony clothes stand and a bathroom towel rod were inconvenient, particularly for a beachside hotel.

Great place, traveled with a family and had a fun time. Not many people in the resort but we were a big group so it didn't bother us. Various pools with the main one even had a poolside bar with great service. The service was incredible. Only wished I had got a larger 2-floor villa to have an even better time with the kids.

The roads were dangerous to walk on outside the property. They really need to look into a better way of moving around outside the resort such as free transport or similar and not encourage guests to walk by themselves.

Staff were amazing! So friendly and accomodating. Kids loved kids club and kids slides and pool activities. Walking distance to Karon.
