Great staff and comfortable room. No actual direct safe way to the beach from rear of hotel. You’d have to walk all the way down the very busy Main Street to access the beach somewhat safely. Only other way Is to walk through another business restaurant.

View and location to the beach! Surin Beach is relatively uncrowded, clean and safe. Plenty of local restaurants along the beach. The rooftop pool was wonderful ( however see below). Staff were very friendly and helpful( some things a little lost in translation as not much English spoken but that’s one of the fun cultural aspects of travel!) Breakfast buffet style was provided in our rate— good quality but geared a bit more to the Asian diet ( e.g fried rice, stir fries, curry, salads etc) but toast, jams, coffee, tea, eggs were available.

The steps leading to beach are steep however and could benefit from sturdier handrails and some solar lights for access in the evening. While we understand the hotel was not built long ago it could do with some cosmetic touches e.g. cushions on balcony chairs, a mattress for the concrete ledge (day bed?) on balcony, attention to maintenance on poolside lounges and umbrellas, hand towels in bathrooms (only 1 towel & 1 pool towel per person provided)

The view and location were perfect! The facilities and room were clean, towels and beach towels as well as toiletries were provided. The breakfast was nice ned pretty big portions too plus a buffet. The staff was exceptional as we had a medical emergency and the staff was very helpful helping us organising help.

You won’t get a good night sleep. The AC didn’t really cool the room and was super loud. Adding to the noise was the AC unit just outside the bathroom window which was only divided by a wooden shutter so you hear the unit very loud all night long. Additionally, because of the bathroom window is not an actual glass but just a wooden shutter, we were getting lizard visitors - they nearly caused as a heart attack every time we went to the bathroom as you never know where are they hiding and they do run very fast and jump.

The hotel very kindly upgraded us to a room on level 3 which had access to an infinity pool from its balcony. The views across the beach and the bay were stunning, even in the rain. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel staff were excellent.

The bathroom was very narrow in parts so not practical for two people to be in there at once, although there was a jacuzzi bath in the main part of the room. The hotel is well located but be aware that you have to walk on the road for a short distance when you leave the hotel before you reach a raised foot path to head into town, so something to consider if you have children.

Stunning view from nice sized room with balcony over ocean and beach. The location was a relaxing beach experience with very friendly honest people even to the point we left a backpack at khun gaa seafood thai restaurant 7min walk (great food) and they chased us on a motorbike to return. It was a terrible stormy evening we arrived and the hotel has no restaurant except breakfast, Janet at reception was fantastic and organised a restaurant to come pick us up and take us home. Janet was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Surin Beach is a lovely low key beach. The rooftop pool was fantastic. Breakfast was great

That there wasn't an option to eat a meal in the evening. The 7min walk into main area is either along a main road or had to walk across rocks down to beach.

Great hotel, amazing location close to the beautiful beach, shops, restaurants and market. Easy access from the airport (even using public transport). Room was cozy and spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea! Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was great, I liked the wooden finishes and details. Everything was very clean. Staff extremely polite, especially mister working as a security/doorman! Very helpful and engaged man! Breakfast was always delicious!!! Lots to choose and always very tasty, menu changing every day. In the lounge area there is a tea/coffee/juice/water and cookies station. We also used swimming pool on the top of the building, lovely during evening to chill. Worth mentioning that some rooms have private pools! WiFi was good. You can also rent scooters from a family living next to the hotel, great people! Overall perfect stay!

Everything was great!

The views from the rooms are amazing and the pool is very nice. Few steps and you’re on the Surin beach so it was perfect! Good breakfast but nothing special. Also you can walk to beautiful laem sing beach from the hotel and it takes about 15min. Staff was very helpful and around 24/7 so if there was anything bothering us we were able to contact them any time of day. You can loan towels to the beach and pool which was nice.

The air conditioner in the room was moldy which gave both of us cough and flu and breathing problems. Also the room was a little outdated and dirty, we asked the staff to clean our terrace windows because they were super dirty, I ended up cleaning them myself because the so called cleaning was few wipes with water. When you asked your room to be cleaned everything else was cleaned properly, only sheets were not changed and ours had few stains and holes. It’s easy to access the restaurants by the beach but after 21 when they close the gates it’s harder and we had to take taxis or walk on a very busy road in the dark.

Breakfast was ok nothing special

The steps from the Hotel down onto the beach were very hazardous and work was being done so they were always wet and inadequate lighting of a nighttime not suitable for elderly or disabled guests.

Waking up to the sound of waves on Surin Beach was incredible. The view from the balcony and shower were incredible. Minutes walk to the beaches and about 10 minutes walk to the shops. The lobby receptionist told us to walk on the road down the hill to the nearest convenient store. But I wouldn't recommended to walk on the busy road especially we were walking against traffic on the way back up hill to the hotel. I would take alternative route via the beach and the market to be safer. They change their breakfast menu daily which was good. Room is serviced daily.

Ants in the room. But totally understand because we were halfway up on the inclining mountain facing the beautiful natural trees and ocean views.

As I was on my own for a few days I couldn't justify a more expensive hotel and this had everything I wanted at a good price - outstanding view, direct access to a smaller quiet beach but with a choice of food and drinks nearby. To be fair I couldn't find anything else meeting my needs within good distance of Patong/Airport so feel lucky to have found it. Check in was easy, the very clean comfortable room had a killer view. No sound from adjacent rooms. I'd definitely stay again as a solo or couple, not ideal for family. I only a required a basic breakfast so a couple of pancakes and some fruit sufficed. The bathroom size and layout is fine and larger than many European bathrooms. Personally I love a proper key to an electronic one.

Was desperate for hot shower (cold everyday after first evening) and a cup of (English) tea by night 3. (7/11 didn't have tea bags either). The beach is the main feature so the pool less of a focus. I only popped up there once and it did look like it needed some attention. I think in the off-season you'd need the backup of an updated pool experience and pool cafe or juice/mocktail bar (which I think is currently closed) as the sea can be a bit too rough for swimming.
