Best thing about this place is the cleaners, they are very lovely and do a great job!! I appreciated that when I didn’t want the room cleaned they still left me water. A lovely touch! Thank you!!! The coffee at the restaurant is also excellent! All the staff are very friendly when you walk past reception on your travels. The room has a very cosy cave feel. I booked for a night and ended up staying around a week. Would definitely stay again!

It was close to the beach, street food on the beach front. Property had a restaurant/ cafe. Short walk to supermarket and lots of restaurants nearby. Taxi stand outside. Staff were very friendly and also the owners.

It doesn’t have a lift, not ideal for someone older or not fit / mobile to walk up the stairs. Bar needs to stay open till late and also the restaurant. At times it closed by 9.30pm. Please change the light bulbs so it’s bright as it’s very dark in the rooms and bathrooms. (Need LED lights)

Awesome location, 5 minutes walk from Surin beach. Even though windows face the road, it was not noisy. There are some nice restaurants around.

After taking shower the whole bathroom will be flooded so you will have to clean it every time. The locker didn’t work. Staff was nice in general. One day we had a tight schedule and planned to have breakfast at the restaurant downstairs as we were told they open at 8. Eventually they didn’t open until after 9 and thus influenced our plans. Why would you lie about this?

After three days at Benyada Lodge and after reading many reviews, I felt compelled to offer my own opinions since my experience here is substantially different and better than most reviewers. The differences might be due to recent service improvements and/or the fact I am staying on the 3rd floor (some reviewers complained about noise problems on certain floors, e.g.). Regardless, here's my take. First off, I have stayed at dozens of hotels in Thailand and this one deserves better ratings. At the time of this posting, average review on Google Maps was about 3.8 and I would say a 4.5 average review is more appropriate. I will explain in detail. Strong/fast Wi-Fi (a high priority for me). The hotel is very clean with excellent housekeeping and the room rates are very competitive. I'll extend my stay to 2 weeks and definitely return here next time I am at Surin Beach. There's a LARGE refrigerator in the room with beverages for purchase. You receive the normal 2 liter free allotment daily, and additional water is only 10 Baht ($0.27 USD) each. My room is very quiet with well-functioning A/C and a remote. Laundry service is available. The bed is very comfortable with a medium softness mattress and pillows. If you request no room cleaning, the staff leaves 2 bottles of water and a roll of toilet tissue outside your door (not usual in Thailand). There's well-functioning coffee maker. Check-in was a breeze after making my reservation via Booking.com. Hotel location is absolutely perfect IMO, with the beach a 2 minute walk and multiple services close by, e.g., laundry, mini-marts, restaurants, massage spas, taxi's, fresh fruit/produce stands, etc. The entire staff has been very friendly albeit most do not speak English fluently. There's plenty of space and shelves in all areas for storage. The shower-only bathroom has excellent water pressure and temperature control.

Surin is an expensive place to stay. This hotel was a bit more competitively priced and for Surin it was good. Our stay was okay. It is an okay place to stay. If you don't eat meat then the breakfast is not worth the money. We didn't take the breakfast option, luckily. But one morning we tried the continental breakfast. It was not that good. A small portion of Muesli with a tiny bit of yoghurt and a mini croissant, commercial fruit juice out of a packet. It was also expensive for what it was. There are a lot of breakfast options in town.

We had a fantastic time at this property! The host was incredibly welcoming and always ready to answer any questions we had. The place was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with comfy beds that made for great sleep. We also appreciated having bikes available to rent on-site. The location is a bit remote with some bumpy roads, but it wasn’t an issue for us since we had bikes. Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend.

To provide kettle and cups but no coffee or tea sachets seems a bit odd. To price individual items separately for laundry is something I’d never come across before and is way too expensive as compared to 1.4kg in a nearby shop for 60 baht. These two issues just annoy guests and could easily be addressed.

The property was beautiful, the room was great. Very comfortable. Great air con, wifi and bathroom facilities in room. The staff were lovely and always available if we needed anything. We were delivered water every morning. The beach was literally across the road. And was also beautiful. So it didn’t matter that there was no pool etc we will definitely be coming back to stay again in the future. Couldn’t fault it.
