My husband and I stayed at Ratana for three weeks. The staff was very nice and always happy to help. We loved the large bed in our room and the fact that we stayed on the 5th floor, as it meant no snakes or other animals could get into the room. There’s also a 7/11 just a three-minute walk from the hotel.

We didn’t like the gym because there’s no air conditioning, and the area has no ventilation, making it difficult to exercise. Additionally, only one treadmill was functional. The hotel could use some repainting, as it doesn’t feel fresh. The location is about a 35-50 minute drive from all the main beaches (Kata, Karon, Banana, etc.), but it’s conveniently close to Phuket Town and Central Festival, both just a 20-minute drive away.

Nice big room with balcony. Quiet in the side road. Good aircon. Good fridge and there was a hot water contraption. Good shower. One lady (in orange) very friendly and helpful and her English was better than the others. She rented us a moped at the hotel (250THB/day) and also arranged our trip to Koh Phi Phi. The pool was a welcome distraction and use of the toaster and microwave in the adjacent room was useful for lunch. No restaurant while we were there. Not touristy but we like to experience local life and we ate well at a small place nearby and we'd recommend the Steak Tonight restaurant too.

Not much in the way of bars or other attractions nearby so head to the Indy market / old town

Great value for money. Lovely staff, room clean. Lovely pool which is a great sun trap. Restaurants and a lovely park not far away. Short taxi ride to old town and the peninsula. A shout out to the lovely lady who sells pizzas about 50m south of the hotel, they were lovely if you fancy a change from Thai food.

Bit picky but taxi ride to get to most places of interest but that's the same with everywhere.

A really excellent stay. A top class hotel with great facilities in the room and lots of space, especially for the price. Room was cleaned every day and staff were friendly. Swimming pool was also very clean and a nice bonus to have during the stay. Plenty of chairs in the room and on the balcony which is perfect if you’re staying for multiple nights.

Our only downside is the location, as it’s not that central to the old town and other touristic locations. However there is plenty of parking for motorbikes, plus grab taxis are usually available fairly quickly.

All the staff working there made me feel most welcome. I booked 10 nights and each day when I returned after exploring parts of the Island my room was always wonderfully clean.

Just like the pictures, everything is clean, the staff is friendly, room service is excellent.

The bathtub is bad, too small to bathe in and too narrow to comfortably shower in, and slippery. The TV was in Thai and had some features locked, but thankfully I found the service code and fixed it.

Room was cleaned every day.

Receptionist not very friendly. Also I rent a scooter and had to leave my passport on reception for deposit and they've damaged it.
