We stayed for two nights in a pool access room. The Malika Hotel is an oasis of relaxation in Phuket Town. The pool area is lovely and relaxing and the pool very refreshing in the heat. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town - although there is a shuttle bus than operates three times a day. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable with good outside seating space. There is the opportunity to purchase beers, soft drinks, water etc although there are also many 7 Elevens relatively close by. There is also a breakfast option - with your choices and we utilised this on the morning before we left to get our ferry from Rassada Pier - which was only a short Taxi/ Grab journey away. I would recommend the Malika Hotel to anyone staying in Phuket Town.

We loved almost everything from the beginning. The best thing is the great and normally deep pool where you can greatly relax. The hotel can cook food for you for a very reasonable prices, or you can order with Grab. For some people the location might be a bit far from the center, but honestly, its about 25 mins walk, which is not that bad if you like to walk. There are couple restaurants literally behind the corner with a great variety of local food. There is 7/11 about 5 min walking. You get to the main road and it will take you to the museum of Phuket Town, no need to to turn anywhere, just straight. The room was bright and very spacious, which is great. The balcony is huge as well, you can sit there and chill. There is a safe as well. AC is good and can chill the room very quickly. We were at the 1st floor which is good, cause the last floor is a bit hotter due the sun shining on the roof. The water pressure is great, toilet is fine and basically the whole bathroom is completely OK. They give you water and change the towels as many times as you need. Very friendly and helpful staff! I can truly recommend to go there. The hotel is new, you can see it on the outside and inside as well. By the pool is the toilet and small shower. By the reception you can find pool towels and coffee and tea during the all day basically. There are some fridges with beer and some crisps as well.

As I mentioned the room was spacious, but quite empty honestly. We did not have the place apart of the floor where to put our luggage. A small table for the luggage would be quite helpful. There is 1 chair and that is it. But on the other hand you want space, you do not want the room be filled with a lot of things, so I guess that depends on the preference. But overall magnificent!

Great location in the old town, close to a beautiful Chinese temple and a 7-11. Great looking pool and nice overall atmosphere in the hotel, spacious rooms.

The air-conditioning unit in my room was leaking, constantly dripping water onto the floor and the hotel couldn’t get it fixed, they also didn’t offer to replace my room. This was not a major inconvenience but still one nonetheless. Also be aware that if you plan to go to the infamous Patong area, it is quite far from the hotel and with traffic will take up to 50 minutes to get there, which would be around 600 baht in a taxi.

The room was large and airy,the bed was extra large and very comfy we had a large balcony overlooking the lovely pool area which was well maintained,the bathroom was very clean and modern fixtures.The hotel don't do any catering services but provide free of charge toast coffe/tea and banana in the morning.The stairs can be quite steep and we thought a handrail would be useful,the location is quiet but a bit of a walk to the old town..around 25/30 minutes (were not young)we also didn't find many restaurants close by.All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend Maliki hotel.

The Malika is a 30 room hotel with large comfortable rooms, a huge swimming pool that gets sun most of the day and lovely, helpful staff. The location is nice and quiet, in a residential neighbourhood, away from Old Town, which is only a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride away. There are a number of small local restaurants nearby and a grocery store and night market all within a 15 minute walk. The staff are extremely helpful and very kind. We had a ground floor room with easy access to the pool.

It didn’t bother us, but there is a school behind the hotel that plays the Thai national anthem at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. every week day.

Pleasant stay here for a few days. Room was adequate however smelt quite bad which didn’t seem to go away. It was cool having a room with the pool right outside. Staff always at reception and very helpful and friendly with any queries we had! Pretty quick to drive a scooter into town and not too far to good attractions such as elephant sanctuary and monkey view point.

Was very quiet and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Walkable distance to 4 Michelin recommended food vendors. Great friendly staff and good value for money.

Be aware The Lack of lifts to the top floor might be tricky for older people but we managed fine carrying our suitcases up.

Clean, fresh, available pool, bikes available, quietness, amenities clean and well maintained. Overall I’m very happy with all the things. Pretty much everything was spot on and better than other objects of similar price. And comfy beds - we had great sleep.

There is no elevator :) but there are only 3 floors so that’s fine, consider this additional healthy excersize xD I was completely happy with that but obviously it would be a problem for ppl with limited mobility.

The room was spacious and clean. The lady at reception helped me with carrying my luggage to my room. The hotel is not too far from old town. There is a nice pool.

They charged me before my arrival as if they were in a hurry to secure the business. I felt it was not good value for money after trying several other hotels before them. The 2 star hotel in Phuket was better. They have no lift. So I had to carry luggage to the 3rd floor. They have no breakfast options and there was no cafes or restaurants around either. The hotel is in a location close to a residential area and a school (get ready to be awaken at 8 am by a sudden loud music and announcements).

I liked that the hotel was clean. It was nice to sit beside the pool. There was free coffee and tea in the reception and you could drink it at the pool. They also sold snacks. Supermarket was only 2 min walk away. Old Phuket was 10 ir 15 min walk away. Every one was very friendly. Good value for money.
