My experience there was amazing. When we arrived, they were very sweet and gave us some dates and amazing roses drinks. The room was really nice and comfortable. the bathroom was incredibly pretty and fancy, we loved it. There were some Turkish sweets and fruits in our room and the staff was helpful and showed us everything in the hotel. The spa was terrific, the pool was cool and had great massage jets. Both saunas were amazing, and the wet sauna has some cold water so you don’t get too hot while inside, and the dry sauna was really cozy. Plus, you can also take a shower in the spa. The concierge also helped us a lot, by making the reservation of some restaurants. The hotel restaurant was amazing and had a beautiful view of the city. They had this amazing buffet with many different options for all kinds of taste. My daughter has food allergy to nuts and the staff were really nice, giving her nut free pastries. In our last day, they gave us a delicious chocolate cheesecake at breakfast. My stay at the hotel was really perfect. At check out, they gave us beautiful little bowls and homemade Turkish sweets. We loved the place and everybody helped us a lot! Now we’re wanting to go and see the hotel in Capadócia!!!

We recently had the pleasure of spending 6 unforgettable nights at Ajwa Sultanahmet in Istanbul, and it truly exceeded every expectation. Nestled in the heart of the historical district, this hotel is an absolute gem, offering a rare blend of authentic Ottoman elegance, modern luxury, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home. They were exceptionally attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. What touched us most was how wonderfully kind and considerate they were with the kids, treating them with genuine warmth that made our stay even more special. One of the standout experiences was breakfast at Zefren Restaurant. Perched at the top of the hotel, it offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Sea of Marmara and the old city. The food was equally spectacular. Fresh, beautifully presented, and a perfect start to each day. The hotel’s location is second to none. Just a short walk from the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar, and within easy reach of the metro tram, we found ourselves ideally positioned to explore the magic of Istanbul without any hassle. The facilities throughout the hotel, from the spa to the lounges, were top-notch and maintained to the highest standards. In every way, Ajwa Sultanahmet embodies the spirit of Istanbul. Rich in culture, history, and heartfelt hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning one day.

The gym could use an upgrade.

Our stay at AJWA Sultanahmet was truly exceptional! Every detail, from the beautifully crafted furniture to the warm ambiance, made us feel like we had stepped into a luxurious Ottoman palace. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the amazing staff. They were always attentive, kind, and incredibly professional, ensuring that every moment of our visit was perfect. A special thank you to them for making my mother’s birthday unforgettable—not once, but three times they surprised her with a delicious cake and candles, making her feel truly special throughout our stay. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference! Another huge plus is the hotel's location—absolutely perfect if you want to explore the best of Istanbul's historic sites. Being in the heart of Sultanahmet, we were just a short walk away from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar.

We were particularly impressed by the care they showed for food intolerances: the staff made sure to prepare gluten-free crepes and pancakes for our daughter, who is celiac. Another highlight is the location: right in the heart of the historic district, within walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. We stayed at Ajwa hotel for 5 nights and this hotel fully exceeded our expectations. Having visited Istanbul a few times, this was the best hotel we have stayed at by far, probably throughout our experience of travelling to different countries even! We loved everything. The decor and layout of the hotel was exceptional and so inviting. Its exactly what you would want a Turkish hotel to look like. We felt like we were stepping into a Sultan's Palace. The bed was comfy, they even had a pillow menu! Bathroom was glamorous and the room had plenty of storage space. We had a lovely partial view of the sea. The windows also had good soundproofing and muted the noise from streets outside. We loved the blackout, button-controlled blinds! The pool, hamaam, sauna and steam room facilities had a peaceful ambience and the showers were beautifully designed. It was quiet when we went. And despite what others say in their reviews, we were very appreciative of the separate timings for men and women, in respect for the Turkish culture. The breakfast area had a breath-taking panoramic view of the sea and the service at breakfast time was exemplary. It ran very smoothly and calmly. Of course, any hotel is only as good as its staff. And I can only say that every single member of staff was so gracious and genuine. They were eager to be of assistance from their heart. We were staying with my poorly father, and I cannot say how much I appreciate how kind and caring all the staff were. They truly exceed Turkish hopsitality values. To mention some of the names I remember, we would to thank Ms. Halima, Ms. Mari, Mr. Alp, Mr. Nirvus, Mr. Hassan and all the breakfast staff and housekeeping staff. You are all wonderful. We were even presented with gifts upon checkout. Thank you Mr. Hassan for all your helpful information and help to sort out taxis etc. Thank you Mr. Alp for having patience and assisting us during the night.

The tiniest thing, the bidet pressure and sink pressure was a little low in our room. But the bath and shower were fantastically powerful.

Great breakfast, excellent location, friendly and very helpful staff

Nothing we did not like - it's a lovely and very well run hotel. We completely respected and understood the no-alcohol policy. It did stop us having dinner or spending more time in the hotel because we do enjoy a glass of wine and a cocktail around dinner but there are so many restaurants close by, it was not an issue. One disappointment was the regulated hours by sex for the gym. As regular exercisers, it was tough to make this work and a little frustrating when no access was allowed but the gym was clearly empty.

The location is wonderful, especially for those who would like to explore the historic city. It can be a bit crowded for those who prefer to take a taxi; however, many attractions are within walking distance. The staff were super helpful and friendly, I would like to thank them all for the memorable experience, specifically Mostafa and Lori. I do not remember the names of the reception staff and the tourism desk, but they are all super professional. The restaurant has a great view towards the blue mosque and the sea, the food is delicious and of good quality; the price might be considered high by some compared to other countries; however, compared to Istanbul, I find it acceptable.
