Room need more lights. Room kind small cause my luggage is won't fit but its ok with me since I am alone.

We had a really great experience at this hotel. We arrived early and they were kind enough to let us check in before the usual time. On top of that, they upgraded one of our rooms to a much bigger one with two bedrooms sea view— completely free of charge! The breakfast was honestly something else — very delicious, fresh, and different every day. We really looked forward to it each morning. The staff were amazing. Every single person we interacted with — at the reception or in the kitchen — was friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their customer service was excellent from start to finish. Whatever we needed, they were there right away to help. They also let us do a late checkout, which was really generous. We checked out around 7 PM at no extra cost, and that was a huge help. The location is perfect too — just a short walk to the tram, close to Sultanahmet Mosque and all the main sights. You can easily get anywhere from here. If I come back, I’ll absolutely choose this place again. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting!

The staff was very friendly and helped us arrange a dinner cruise with a traditional Turkish show and dinner. The breakfast was served between 07:30 and 10:30, ideal for early people and longer sleepers. The breakfast was varied, healthy and overall good. The room was clean and had air conditioner. Overall you receive what you pay for, compared to other places in Istanbul.

The furniture might need an upgrade, as it is quite older. Also, the chairs at the restaurant were a little torn out, and the staff could clean up the tables faster to make more space for the other people eating breakfast.

it was in my price range, the whole staff cared about their customers' needs, other than English I speak Arabic as well so they had someone on they're staff's member's named Bircan, spoke Arabic as well and he was able to help me communicate with the other staff's members that didn't speak other then Turkish. I would like to thank Kerim for always helping me out to find the right tours and recommending the good restaurants and shopping stores and going out of his way to make reservations for me, and on my last night in Istanbul, the ATM machine retained my debit card. As soon as I contacted the hotel, he was there within 5 minutes to help out figure out to solve the situation. And I thank Hakan and Mazlom for accompanying me to some outing at night. Again, I thank all of the staff. Starting from Manager Umit, Kerim Osman, Bircon, Hakan, Mazlom Daoud, Hakim, Delera, Mahmood, Farida, and Delara and sorry if I forgotten any of the staff names or if misspelled their names as well.

I really didn't like that Hamam, and the workout room and Terras weren't available, but it was understandable I went to Istanbul off seasons time.

Everything about the hotel was remarkable . First off all the location, city centre is 10min walking, tram station 3min, metro station 5min, place for shopping, places to eat are all over the city anyway. When it comes to servise and stuff, we just didn't have to worry about anything. They are extremely helpful, polite, generous at any time of the day. Also praise to the wonderful guy David who works as a waiter in the hotel buffet who made our coffee and tea drinking at the end of the day to be a pleasure. We just happened to do that at the evening which is in his shift so I wouldn't miss the opportunity to thank and give gratitude to the other waiter from the first shift whose name I didn't remember, but who was also magnificent and professional. All in all what else to say rather than we highly recommend the Sunlight hotel and we can't wait to come back. Greetings from Crna Gora ☺️☀️

The hotel was clean, friendly and comfortable. The bar was welcoming and the man who ran the bar was friendly and kind. The rooms were maintained well and the location was central for many sights such as the grand bazar and the blue mosque but was not noisy at night. The included breakfast was exceptional and the view from the restaurant was priceless.

We booked a quad room for a family of 4. There were 2 rooms. Unfortunately, the pullout double sofa bed used by our kids, prevented the door from closing. The spa, although discounted for guests, was at a significant additional cost.

Cannot fault this Hotel one bit as they were very accommodating.  Special thanks to the manager Umut who went above and beyond as we got to the Hotel at around 8.30am and check in was not until 2pm but Umut not only sorted out one room for my family he managed to sort out both rooms for my family of 5.  I would highly recommend this hotel as well as it being in a very central location and in walking distance to the main attractions as well as Tram stops only 400m away. Location is very good. Except for it is downhill from city center - but that's inevitable, Istanbul is very hilly. Places of interest is close, places to eat even closer, Public transport in about 10 minutes walk. And price is good :) Pretty good breakfast. A lot of choice, good quality.

Room is very small. We needed separate beds, which took almost all room :) But then again - price is good There's a mosque tower very close by, and it translate morning prayer - at 5-40am, through loudspeaker. There's nothing like soundproof in a room, so it can be heard clearly. Maybe it was only because we caught Ramadan, but it was disturbing

For me personally the hotel was a great experience! Very clean, everything worked in the room, we got very good service everyday. Breakfast was plenty, toiletries refilled, parking at arriving hour, was fixed immediately by the personnel. I felt safe and very well welcomed. Easy to get at the location, easy to leave the town. Short walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. But what I want to highlight the most is that the host and the personnel were incredibly welcoming and permisive, they answered all our needs and necessities right away! Good job guys, and thank you!

The room was always maintained well. The counter staff extremely friendly and helpful. Canteen staff were bit a shy but helpful upon request. Location is fantastic for bazaar, blue mosque other sites and restaurants. The top floor canteen was closed which did not spoil our trip. We have always stayed in top luxury hotels around the world. This is a lovely quaint budget even for our taste. Nice Large bathroom in proportion to room There are steep roads but we enjoyed the exercise. There is a small park round the corner with fountains. Sokullu mehmet mosque is also very near. Holding four peices of holy stone ajar e aswat. Its one the most breathtaking buildings I have ever seen, other than Makkah and Medina.

Did not have scambled or fried eggs or toast in buffet. Breakfast is our favourite meal We paid for omelettes.
