We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Aprilis Gold Hotel in Istanbul. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome and efficient service. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring all the major attractions, and our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service, particularly from Mr. Murat at the reception desk. He was consistently professional, incredibly friendly, and went above and beyond to assist us with all our queries, from directions to recommendations. His knowledge and willingness to help made a significant positive impact on our trip. It's rare to find such dedicated and pleasant staff. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and all the staff we encountered were polite and attentive. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aprilis Gold Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul, especially if you appreciate excellent customer service like that provided by Mr. Murat , Mr Aladdin and all other staff.

The location is very good, close to the tram line, supermarket, shops & restaurants, major tourist attractions all within 15-30minute walk, reception staff all very friendly and helpful

The hookah bar opposite blasting music until gone 1am on the Thursday night - not the hotel's fault (I went down close to 1am to ask if anything could be done and was told by the receptionist he'd call the municipality about it but it stopped shortly after; the receptionist said the police had been called twice the previous month about the same issue and each time the police shut the place down for the night)

This hotel certainly lives up to the excellent reviews. I could not fault this place. Firstly, the staff are excellent. Ishmael, Murat and Allattin were all lovely. Upon arrival after a very long flight from Sydney, Ishmael took great care of us. Whenver we came back from a big day of sightseeing we were always offered tea or coffee which was a very nice touch. The location is perfect, a short uphill walk to the tram which is only one stop away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. It is also in easy walking distance as well. Breakfast as as also very good. There is nothing abd I can say about this place! In fact, we ae already planning to come back!

Nothing - everything was great!

The breakfast was a treat! I loved the combinations, and the food was always stocked and made to sure to be replenished. The atmosphere was very nice, not too loud or busy. The staff Veysol, and the other front staff were beyond approachable, and were able to make every request happen without a delay. They provided transport for me to the airport, and even upgraded it to a luxury vehicle for no price difference! They made sure to outline what exactly I should do in my short stay in Instanbul, and their recommendations were great. The room was great, they even showed me two different types of rooms to compare which one I would like better. I chose the room with the double, which has a bed, a couch, a table, and the basic amenities. Although the room wasn’t super luxurious, it is not what made the stay worth the money, it was the excellent service!

The beds could use a bit more work. I had no trouble sleeping, but the king size bed is two beds in one, so sometimes you would feel the separation of the two beds. The upper shower head should have been cleaned, and the bathroom would have been nice to have some small kits such as vanity, shaving, clean up, etc kits.

This is a little gem! GREAT HOTEL! Location, facilities,and the great staff! Top marks to Veysel who was most welcoming, informative and engaging. Also Murat who kept up the high standards. The rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable. We had great views from our 2 balconies. Serviced everyday by very efficient staff. Within walking distance to all the sights. Staff are very keen to provide additional information for things to do. This is going to be my “go to” place during my visits to Istanbul. Will certainly recommend it to my friends. Comfy cosy and the most amazing customer service. They will go one mile ahead in order to help and facilitate you. One gem of of a team they have. Ismail at reception is true legend Alattan, always there to help if needed. Doaan, Murat, I mean the whole team is just simply fantastic, you go these big posh restaurants and there is hardly any customer but these guys from room service to reception to the porters ! Honestly they will make you feel home. Ismail thank you for the help and guidance, it’s people like you and your whole team who makes a difference to one’s stay. Pass my regards to everyone please. You won’t regret staying here and I am definitely coming again in sha Allah.

We stayed 3 days and had a very pleasant experience. Staff was very friendly, especially Alatin and Murat. Thx gentelmans! Nearby terraces where small (couple of tables) good food and lively night atmosfere. Best food we had was at a place recomended by staff, very close to location.

Hotel location was on a backside road and in a area with lots of small shops ( bazar like) and lots of supply cars back and forth. Overall it is a noisy area, but I guess it is normal in Istanbul. Steep streets around the hotel. We didnt expect that, but also kind of normal in Istanbul, we learned.

Everything was almost 10/10. Don’t think you can find a better location (maybe avoid if you aren’t athletic? it’s on a very steep hill), less than 10 minutes walk to the Hyppodrome, Hagia Sophia etc. Rooms are quite big, even though there’s lots of noise outside, the windows are very thick, almost soundproof, the bed is comfortable, and its extremely clean. The breakfast is also fantastic. Too bad they only had carrot cake the first two mornings we were there, it was a highlight, almost on par with Gulluoglu baklava (joking, but it was pretty good).

Location is perfect, walking distance to almost every major attraction on this beautiful city. The rooms and breakfast were very good but I would highlight is the personal, very friendly, very service oriented they were looking to make our stay special all the time. Specially Mr Murat at the front desk who was always attentive to all our needs. They really deserve the score they have!

Nothing at all, just have in mind that due to the location, traffic to enter to be area tends to be heavy so you need to plan your transport to and from the airport with time.

Nice room with everything we needed. Very helpful staff who helped arrange boat tour and shuttle service to the airport. They are very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was decent but mainly based on savoury dishes. All the sites in Sultanhamet square a short walk away.

The hotel was in a street with a few bars and on a couple of nights there was some noise until the early hours of the morning. Soundproofing of our room wasn't great. Location could be a problem to the less mobile as there was quite a steep hill to the nearest tram stop and the road is traffic free at some times of the day.
