Loved everything about our stay here at the Aprilis deluxe. The staff were extremely communicative by WhatsApp and facilitated our transport from the airport. They were always friendly with a smile whenever we enter or left the building. We arranged some tours through the hotel staff, as well as a wonderful massage in the spa. Breakfast every day was a meal that we looked forward to, because of the freshness and variety of all the foods offered.. Close walk to all the major sites in the area. We would love to come back to this hotel and will recommend to all of our friends.

The hotel is on one of the hills, so please be prepared to walk, steep incline on cobblestone roads, and sidewalks

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful – they even reserved a dinner table for us when we arrived late from the airport and personally walked us there. Since our flight was delayed, they kept in touch with us via WhatsApp, monitored our arrival, and also arranged a taxi back to the airport for a fair price. The breakfast was excellent – everything was fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and with plenty of variety.

The only thing I would suggest improving is the bedding – it would be nice to have more pillows, extra duvets, and better/new mattresses available. Other than that, everything was really great, especially for such a central location where some hotels don’t offer much. This one is truly fair, reliable, and worth staying at – just a few minutes’ walk from all the main sights in Istanbul!

It was our first time visiting Istanbul, and choosing where to stay as a family which wasn’t easy. After doing a lot of research, we decided on Aprilis Deluxe Hotel, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, with easy access to major tourist sites and public transport. The area felt very safe and convenient which made getting around stress free. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the hospitality we received was exceptional. Special thanks to Rabia, Utku, Selman, Bekir & Sukru at reception, who were incredibly helpful with directions and always greeted us with such warmth and kindness. Every morning, we were welcomed to breakfast by Betül and Andra, whose smiles and friendly nature truly made our mornings brighter. The housekeeping team also deserves a big thank you for keeping our room spotless and ensuring we were always comfortable throughout our stay. Aprilis Deluxe Hotel truly won our hearts. We felt so welcome and well taken care of, and we will definitely be booking our next stay here again!

Very nice hotel, clean rooms with modern finish. Bathroom was well equiped. We had a nice balcony and the windows cancelled noise well. We were about 15 mins walk away from the markets which was ideal. Immediate area and streets are ropey but its all a bit like that in istanbul in my view. Decent breakfast with good options, although staff were too keen to take your plates and cups away if you were away from your table for a second look which was annoying. Multiple morning we had our half drank coffee cups removed when we went to grab a pastry to finish breakfast, I could understand if it was rammed but there were loads of tables free so it was super unnecessary. Staff at the desk were super helpful with tips and we booked a boat experience dinner with them which was a good night out.

The hotel was very convenient for the majority of the attractions in Sultanahmet which were walking distance. The tram stop was also close by to explore other parts of Istanbul. The staff were very nice and helpful and cleaning standard was excellent, the maid did a thorough clean every day! The breakfast was nothing special, just the basics which I suppose is acceptable for the size of the hotel. I'm not sure why all the other reviews suggest it was fantastic (maybe I'm just used to the more high end hotels where there is a massive selection and fresh omelettes/pancakes to order!!) The location is in an area where there are cobbled streets and quite hilly, so be prepared for some walking. The local restaurants are okay but the prices are more akin to a more exclusive area but that could be due to inflation in Istanbul everywhere, as I felt I was paying more than London prices in some places. The terrace on the roof isn't great , and the view is of the other buildings close by so not great. I dint use the gym or spa so can't comment. Overall, a decent hotel ,small but clean with friendly staff, so recommend for your first visit to Istanbul.

Breakfast wasn't fantastic and no nearby coffee shops.

Breakfast was a buffet spread with hot foods and a spread of mezze, cheese, salads. There was a small gym. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. It felt homely as they asked about your day, and were aware of where you went, even when the receptionists had changed. They gave me late checkout without an extra charge. The location was brilliant - it was near to the major sites and the grand bazaar. They were all within walking distance. Rooms were clean and bright, with a small balcony. The room had a minibar, which I could used to keep personal items cold. The surrounding area had loads of shops, restaurants - nothing was far!

They didn't offer bottles of free water when they cleaned the rooms. I was offered two free bottles the first night when I asked.

Hotel is in a good location in Fatih District. It's close to Sultanahmet. The street is a bit noisy. The journey to the hotel from IST International Airport takes about 1 hour by taxi. By public transport (direct bus Havaist HVIST-12 to Aksaray bus stop + tram) takes about 1 and a half hours - on weekdays. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rich breakfast, which will suit you if you don't prefer an English breakfast - for a European a small selection of hams, salami, sausages etc. On the other hand there was a huge selection of salads for breakfast. If I go to Istanbul again, I will choose this hotel again. Definitely recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed this stay. It was a lovely hotel and the PERFECT room. The stay was mad all the more special by the exceptional attitude of all the Team, working in all areas of the hotel, from hotel Housekeeping, Restaurant Team, Management & Reception. Special thanks go to ANDREE (Restaurant) who was wonderful and met every request with a lovely smile, to UTKU (Reception) for his wonderful welcome and attentive, friendly and professional manner, to SELMAN (Hotel Management) who assisted with directions, places of interest and the Bosphorus River Boat Trip - Evening Dining Reservation. We also thank Nehir & Rahim (Reception) and all the lovely, friendly and exceptionally hard working cleaning Ladies, who did a fantastic job every day! Highly recommend this lovely Hotel in a great location in the Old Town. We look forward to returning next year!
