I don’t even know where to begin. My stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, Apo, Sah, and the entire crew made us feel like family. I’ve traveled extensively, but this was genuinely the best experience I’ve ever had. The professionalism and warmth of the staff were remarkable—from the front desk team to the housekeeping staff. Anything we needed was provided promptly, and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. The highlight? They saved my wedding day! We were running late to the mosque, and the staff stepped in to ensure we got there on time. It was a gesture I’ll never forget, and it meant the world to us. Thank you all, truly, from the bottom of my heart. I could write a novel about how incredible our stay was. Without a doubt, this will be our go-to place every time we visit Istanbul. Highly recommended!

The location of the Great Fortune Design Hotel is excellent, with most major attractions within walking distance. The tram station is close by, making it easy to get around the city, though the metro is a bit farther. We booked two rooms through Booking.com at a very good price, and one of them was upgraded upon arrival, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us with restaurant suggestions and taxi bookings. The rooms were reasonably clean and were tidied up daily, with free water bottles provided each day, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was included in the stay, and while not extraordinary, the buffet offered a decent variety of options. Despite there being only one elevator, we never experienced long wait times. Staying on a higher floor helped reduce some of the street noise; we were on the 4th floor, and it was manageable.

The hotel is situated in a lively area, which makes it noisy in the evenings due to bars and music. If you're sensitive to noise, earplugs are a must. Opening the windows isn’t ideal either, as it can invite traffic exhaust and cigarette smoke from the busy street outside. The walls between the rooms are quite thin, so you can hear noise from adjacent rooms, which might disturb light sleepers. Unfortunately, the taxi organized by the hotel for our ride back to the airport scammed us, which left a bad impression at the end of our stay. The breakfast, while included, was just okay and didn’t stand out. Another thing worth mentioning is that several guests appeared to have undergone beauty surgeries, which might be a surprise for some visitors.

Excellent stay at the greatfortune design hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and lovely, really good customer service. The hotel is very clean and comfortable as I was a Solo traveler, I felt extremely safe in the hotel and area surrounding the hotel. Everything is nearby, shops and restaurants 5 min walk away and tram 3 min walk away from the hotel. The hotel has a lot of activities information and complimentary Sauna and steam room for guests. Breakfast was okay and not too busy which I really liked. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff also gave me a complimentary fruit platter on my last evening, that was very lovely and thoughtful of them. Also it was really nice of the hotel staff to take care and the fact I can leave my luggage in the hotel room until my taxi arrived late afternoon. They did not make me rush to checkout! which I really liked about this hotel, Again excellent service. Thank you for your lovely hospitality. 5* service! :)

room is small air condition is controlled by staff only. you can change the temperature, you can switch off it. But you can’t switch on. you need to call the reception and ask them to switch on. it is terrible. the spa is not in the hotel. it is next to the hotel. it is free for hotel guests only from 10:00 to 16:00. the corridor on the sixth floor smelled of cigarettes

The hotel was very clean. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are all very cooperative, nice ,polite and helpful , especially Abdullah ( who's very oragnised), Omar( who's very hospitable, caring and highly reliable) , Shyama( lovely with nice spirit) , Cihan( who was kind and friendly), Badran( organized and supportive )and Burak , all are very cooperative. They're all very nice and made the stay more enjoyable . The location is too close to the tram. The area is accessible to various facilities. I highly recommend staying here. Airport pickup was exactly on time . The room was ready as we arrived. We received a room upgrade upon arrival . We extended our stay as we enjoyed it

Staff were very accommodating, especially Bilal, Shah. Mert, Mustafa who were always happy to help with any enquiries! Both breakfast staff were very helpful too who were more than happy to make fresh fried Eggs/Omelette on request. Location wise was perfect, all walking distance to the main tourist attractions, all being within a 10 minute walk.

The hotel overall was very nice, mainly the customer service however one thing to note and like many other hotels In SultanAhmet is that the rooms aren’t as modern as they may seem online. If you’re after a hotel for its great location and friendly staff, then I highly recommend.

The hotel was clean and hotel staff were very good and polite and helpful.

I booked cab to airport with hotel on a fixed price of 850 lira then when we got to airport the driver wanted more than that and said we need to pay 900 lira then I gave him 850 lira but claimed I gave 650 lira he was hiding 200 lira. This is very bad service from taxi driver. We had same problem when we arrived in Istanbul by cab from airport

Close proximity to tram station, supermarkets, the Great Bazar, Hagia Sophia in walking distance. The hotel is located in the commercial district half way up to the tram line - note that there is a steep hill on which Fatih is build. When looking for a hotel the ones near the shore are in the lowest point and near the tram line on the highest - if you have mobility issues, please consider when booking. Walking up this hill every morning is a good sports exercise. It offers good value for groups and families due to triple rooms. The best on this hotel are the employees - everybody was very friendly, helpful and kind during my stay with the family! I asked for several errands and they were all fulfilled in the best way. I wish everyone on the team all the best and send them my regards! There is also a sauna, a steam room and a hamam available. Free usage of first 2 during 10:00 and 16:00. Free breakfast was included into booking and a free transfer from the airport through the booking app. With 80€ a night for 3 people (off season, actually February is the worst time to come to Istanbul, so very understandably so) it is a very good value package. It was a very pleasant stay and we spent a lot of time inside due to terrible weather. I will come again when considering a hotel in Fatih.

The beds are a bit hard. The breakfast was barely ok - maybe an investment in a good coffee machine and more European style food can improve it. I ate the food and it is ok from taste and quality - the cheese offer is great! But I would appreciate a bit more choice. The sauna area is not well positioned, little space and difficult to relax - no relaxation area.

You greeted us with a big smile and good conversation, always showing genuine care. You were incredibly sweet and attentive with my mum, and we’re both really grateful for the way you looked after her. Bilal – You were absolutely exceptional. Your kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were truly unmatched. From the moment we arrived, you made sure my mum felt comfortable and at ease. You consistently checked in on her, made sure she had everything she needed, and your gentle, caring nature really stood out. You went above and beyond in so many ways, making us feel not just looked after, but truly cared for. Your presence was incredibly comforting, and I will always remember how you made this stay so special for us. Whether it was a late-night request, a small favor, or just a friendly chat, the three of you were always there — helpful, kind, and sincere. You made us feel truly welcome, safe, and looked after, which is something I’ll never forget. Thank you again for making this trip feel like home. Spacious and very clean rooms even better looking hotel and rooms than in pictures. Staff is very nice, professional and helpful. Overall experience was great there wasn't a one thing we didn't like. We will for sure come back.
